Chapter 2: Marriage

"Soo Ah, come on let's go. We'll be late!" Soo Ah's mom said in an angry tone.

"I'm coming. Is dad coming as well?" Soo Ah asked.

"He's busy, let's go."

They both got inside inside the car and the chauffeur drove to their meeting place.

"Mom, why do we have to do this?" Soo Ah pouted.

"How many times did I tell you? It's the elder wishes, we should follow it. That's the least we could do to thank them for the things they did for our family to be here today," her mom scolded her.

"But I'm only 16, why can't you wait longer, at least after I turn 20."

"Oh i don't know, it's your father's idea and god knows what goes on inside his head," her mom said rolling her eyes.

"Why did you listen to dad then?"

"He must have his reasons," her mom sighs, "it's probably best you do it now, once you debut, it'll be a big deal. If you just do it now and hide it. No one will know."

"The other family also suggested for us to keep it a secret too, don't worry too much."

"You know how I hate lying."

"I know, I know. I'm sorry to put you through this."

"We're here, Mrs. and Ms. Kim." The chauffeur said.

"Min Jun for the last time, if you don't come out I won't hesitate to drag you out by force," his mom said standing at his door. For the past hour, his mom have been trying to get Min Jun to get out of his room and meet his soon to be wife.

"I don't wanna do this, you can't make me!" Min Jun said from his room. Ever since this morning, he has been staying in his room as he didn't want to get married to an unknown girl just because of a silly promise their elders made.

"Min Jun," his dad voice came in the picture.

"Okay fine," Min Jun finally opened the door and stepped out of his room. Ever since little, he always listened to his dad. For some reason, he had never been able to rebel against his dad. Just one word from his dad and he'd follow it.

"Let's go. We'll be late," his mom said.

The two families went out for dinner together after registering the marriage of their daughter and son. Soo Ah's father came to join them for dinner.

"As of this moment, our family will join hands. Let's cheer to that!" Soo Ah's father said raising up his glass of champagne.

The others quickly followed.

"Hey, wanna get outta here?" Soo Ah whispered to Min jun who was sitting across from her.

He signaled her an okay sign in reply.

"Would you excuse me and Min Jun for a second?" Soo Ah said.

"Oh..." Min Jun's mom said.

"We'll head outside for a bit. Please excuse us." Min Jun said standing up grabbing Soo Ah's hand.

Before their parents could say anything more, they both left the restaurant.

"Hey that I wasn-" Soo Ah said but got cut off.

"It's your idea," Min jun said.

"Even so, we should've waited for their permission."

"Too late for that."

"Since we're out now, wanna get some food?" Soo Ah offered.

"Sure. Any where you wanna eat?"

"I know a place nearby, me and my trainee friends sneak out here to eat during practice sometimes." Soo Ah suggested with a bright smile on her face. It was her favorite place to get food from.

"Lead the way."

The two proceed to walk in silence.

"My parents said you were in the same boat as me, so you're a trainee?" Soo Ah said finally breaking the silence between the two.

"Yea. I've been training for a year. You?" Min Jun said.

"3 years. Hey I'm your sunbae (senior)!" Soo Ah said looking at Min Jun searching for a response.

"Watch me debut before you do!" Min Jun said.

"Sure," Soo Ah said holding it longer than normal in a sarcastic tone.

The two broke into laughter.

"What company are you under?" Min Jun asked out of curiosity.

"Dreamlight Entertainment. You?"

"You're in that company too?"

"Yea. You're under Dreamlight as well?"

"Yup."

"No way!"

"Dead serious."

"Wow, I wonder why I've never ran into you before."

"I know right?"

"Oh, we're here." Soo Ah said as the two stand in front of a shop.

"Oh, I've been here with my friends before. It's so famous in the trainee circle." Min Jun said.

"I know right!" Soo Ah said excitedly, "Let's go in."

"I'll have the usual," Soo Ah said to the waitress when they sat down.

"I'll have the usual too," Min Jun said smiling.

"You come here often?" Soo Ah asked.

"Yea, it's the best place to get a late night snack when you're on your way back from practice."

"Here you go," the waitress said putting down their food.

"About the marriage, let's keep it a secret between us two," Min Jun said.

"Of course."

The two started eating their food. They ate and chat with each other.
