Chapter 1: KIDNAPPED
1991
“What do you want from me?”
Madison shouted but she still didn’t get any answer only male chuckles which indicated she wasn’t the only one in the room. And after a while of yelling she heard the door slammed shut and the locks being jammed.
She was now the only one in a room where she was tied to a chair with her wrist bonded along with her ankles, and her eyes were tied close with a clothe covering them.
She had screamed and demanded the let her go but she soon realized that it was all pointless as she was stucked here.
She really wanted to know who had done this to her but she couldn’t think of anyone who will want to kidnap her.
She wasn’t from a rich home and even thou her family had paid up all their debts by selling her off, it didn’t mean they were now well to do.
She wondered who in their right senses had kidnapped her. Her father wasn’t a duke or king, he was just a penniless earl who was now living off someone else money and she knew he wouldn’t bat an eyelid in leaving her here if they ever demanded for a high ransom.
She was also sure, whoever her kidnapper was, he or she obviously knew she didn’t have any money or properties because that duke had made sure of it.
He was after all going to charge her to court and make sure she didn’t receive a penny from him and she really didn’t care right now, her main concern was to find out a way to get out of there.
She heard the door creaked open and someone step inside, she waited for the person to talk but after a while of complete silence she spoke not able to bear the torturing silence anymore.
“Show yourself!”
She screamed but she still didn’t hear any voices, and she started thinking that maybe she had imagined someone stepping inside the room and it was all an illusion.
She was already very tired and hungry plus her body felt so drained so she wouldn’t be surprised if her mind started visualizing things.
She had been locked here with her eyes blindfolded for God knew how long that her ankles and wrist now hurt so badly and her eyes were starting to ache but she still haven’t seen anybody here nor heard them trying to contact her family.
So maybe she wasn’t kidnapped for money but for something else.
But what could it be, She swallowed the lump in her throat at that thought. It was way worst if her kidnapper was someone she knew and was seeking revenge because now she couldn’t guarantee her safety out of here.
So many thoughts were going on in her head but she knew she had to act fast if she wanted to get out of there.
She didn’t have much to live for but she had decided to start her life afresh and nobody was going to stop her.
“Or are you scared of me, are you scared I will remember your face and make you pay. ” she tried provoking whoever was there, that if someone was really there to see if she could get a reaction and surprisingly she did.
She heard an evil chuckle, and shockingly it belonged to a woman “you will make me pay?”
That voice, it sounded so familiar but she couldn’t place where she heard it.
She was sure she knew who it belonged to, her heart was beating so fast that she had a hard time focusing at the problem at hand.
“And how will you do that, I mean you can’t even get yourself out of here. ”
The unknown woman went to her back and pulled her hair so tight that she actually saw stars behind the blindfold.
She bent down and whispered into her ear.
"Knowing nobody will come for you, especially him. I will make sure I keep him miles away from you and this time for good. ”
And it finally clicked, that voice; the voice of the same woman who had done so much damage to her life, and was apparently still doing more as she still tired to hurt her.
Well she was right for sure; he wasn’t coming for her because he was going to get engaged to another woman and even thou it hurt her it gave her so much joy that it wasn’t the scheming woman who had caused all the major problems in her life.
“And even thou I am a thousand miles away from him, he is never going to be yours.” She spoke back while laughing.
And she was actually glad that her mouth wasn’t tied but before she could say anything more, she received a hot slap on her face which eventually shut her up.
The force was so much that she was sure it wasn’t done by the woman and some else was in the room along with her.
“Who is laughing now. ”
She pulled her hair more tightly and she felt her neck strain because of the position she was seating.
“Let me go. ”
she now spoke with great difficultly because of her busted lips.
“I will but not until I am done with you.”
