I stand and watch my sister's face as it changes expression both worried and excited about what her choice would be.
after a couple of minutes, She finally settled and looks at me with a determined look
Nora: " before I tell you my replay brother I want you to know that I love you and wish nothing but the best for you" I can see where this is going but before I say anything, she singles me with her hand to not say anything.
Nora: " look I know and understand what your point is but I am happy in heaven and comfortable where I am. going through life again doesn't interest me, do you understand me brother"
I sigh and replay:" I understand Sis"
she smiles a reassuring smile at me and gives me a second hug and says:" You need to take this journey alone brother to heal and to find yourself again also please this time make a family of your own" as she says this her hug tightens.
I pat her back and with a smiling reply:" I will sis I will "
she lets go of me and says:" Okay then I am ready to leave to the heavens. you should tell me about mam and dad before you get going to that new world "
my heart aches to hear this question. 'Mom and Dad, things got very bad after my sister died from the fights and the pain of losing their firstborn daughter and in one fight, some words that shouldn't be said were said. and it broke their marriage and both went their way at the time I was already in college and lived in the dormitory.
and the conversations between us became less and less till we stopped talking at all and only sent messages in holidays'
thankfully being a doctor for so long you learn to control emotions and expressions so she didn't notice anything.
I reply with half-truths:" they are fine, It hit them hard when you died, but with time you learn to live with the pain and move on. they are both retired and dad opened a shop just to keep himself busy and mom opened a pet shop"
with a sad look at the first part and a relived one at the second:" thank god I am glad they moved on, I was really worried they would leave each other, they didn't know I knew, but I have seen their fights and it got worse in my last days"
we both were sitting till now my sister stood up and said:" well this all then you should get going you have a world to discover and a life to live"
I stand too:" yes, I guess I do"
she smiles at me one last time and says:" I will go back then wish the best on your journey brother"
and her soul dissipated and the next second she was gone

???:" I hope this sets your heart at ease, and I know that you didn't want to hurt her with the truth about your parent but you should have trusted that she could handle it "
Salah:" it's not that, I did not for her I know she could handle it. I can see she is more mature than even me now. I guess before eating her I still held onto the version I remembered of the young sis who died from cancer whiteout expressing life.
but I did it for my parents I know they wouldn't want her to know that they couldn't handle her death and fought and hurt each other till they separated. when it's not her fault to begin with "
???:" So you are leaving it to them to till their own story to her when their time come"
Salah:" yes, yes I am "

Salah looks excited and asks:" So what world I am going to"
???:" well your power will be based on magic so you will be sent to a magical one there will be many races and borders so do enjoy your journey. I will be transferring basic knowledge of the world to you. since you will be sent there with a new body.
not rebirth as there is simply nobody in that world that can hold the power you want and especially its type.because despite there being strong entities in that world their bloodlines don't work with what you want "
Salah: " that makes me happy, I have one family and I don't want another, and going through childhood again with my mentality will be tiring "
???:" okay then" and then a small light ball went towards and levitated next to him Salah" it contained both the power and information needed
???:" it will take time for you to merge and gain all the powers and knowledge to use said powers and a body will be formed then on completion, you will be sent to the world and as a gift. ???: "also one more important thing I gave you is a spell called Judgment, use it before you heal anyone you meet there. not every sickness is normal some are a punishment for a sin/sins made by the individual and him going through this experience is a must so you mustn't heal the said person"
Salah:" thank you very much for everything and goodbye" and then the ball went into his chest
on merging with Salah a round transparent barrier formed around him and he went to sleep
