Chapter 2: Citrus Mix
When I walk to my bio class, I pass by the cafe, so I usually stop and grab something to drink. Today, I'll grab a water. I've been drinking too much tea as of late. Maybe I should grab him a water too... I guess I will. After all, they are only $0.50.
The lady checking me out today is a good friend of mine. We met online and found out that we go to the same university. She knows that I like my professor, so he's usually who we talk about when we see each other on campus.
"Buying him a water, huh?" She noticed!
"Am I that obvious, Camille?" Either I am, or she's perceptive.
"Nah, it was a shot in the dark, but I guess I was right! Your total is $1.00." I momentarily forgot that water has no tax. I don't feel like putting my nickel back in my wallet, so I'll just toss it in the tip jar when I hand her the money.
"Good luck at your next class!" She said that so loudly! I feel like everyone on campus heard that one!
Well, time to see my favorite professor!
