On the way to the forest that led to clear lake, Lan Chu felt as if she was being followed. She then started feeling uneasy. She calmed herself and commanded the men to show themselves.
While she was busy wondering about the people who would want her dead she felt a sword cut through her cheek. She quickly got back to reality and used the dagger she'd prepared the previous night to cut through every single assassin's neck.
"It's been a long time, sister." Lan Chu heard someone say from behind the trees. A beautiful, young lady just as beautiful as Lan Chu but much more elegant and graceful said.
"Did you send the pigeon?" Lan Chu asked.
"What pigeon?" The lady asked.
Lan Chu then thought "Forget it, seems like she knows nothing about the letter. Gotta get to clear lake soon."
"QingQing, you see I am in a hurry. I'll pass by home later." Lan Chu said in a hurry and childishly.
In a remote dark place, a man dressed in black walked towards a figure and then reported "Your majesty the fate stars have shined again."
"They are finally meeting. Their fates were decided on the day they were born but sadly they are bound to have a tragic ending." The other man said in a high spirited voice, "but it's good that they'll get rid of our worries."
The man then sat on a black throne and told the man in black" I'll meditate for a hundred days, take care of everything in the meantime."
Lan Chu managed to dodge Chu QingQing for a while and went to clear lake.
She walked around for a while but couldn't find anyone. Just as she was about to leave she ignored a stone and stumbled, as she stumbled everything seemed to change to a different place with trees, flowers and a tower-like structure with a tall man dressed in a black hood.
She entered the structure and saw a table with wine jar and two short chairs.
"We meet again." The man said in a cold voice, "Chu Lanlan."
He turned around and Chu Lanlan saw him. It was the man who saved her 3 years ago, he stood before her just like he had in the past with his silverish mask on.
Chu Lanlan asked the man who he was and approached him wanting to remove the mask but the man grabbed it on time before his face could be seen.
He then said in a calm voice"I am the storm of disaster and you are the breeze of peace. I'm the rain of tranquility and you are the wind of chaos."
Chu Lanlan looked at him with disbelief in her eyes.
The man approached Chu Lanlan as she moved backwards. He used his hands to brush some of her hair off her face.
She then asked "are you crazy?"
He ignored her question and said she hadn't changed.
She closed her eyes and then opened them. "Did you send the note about my mother?" She asked.
He answered while sitting on one of the chairs "I did, but I can only tell you her name."
"That's enough for me, so, what is it?" Chu Lanlan asked impatiently.
"Xu Qian" He said.
"Is she the same Xu Qian from Xu family?" She asked.
"Exactly" He added and then looked at Chu Lanlan's eyes that were craving for information but he said he couldn't tell more.
"What a temper", she thought.
"Who are you?" She asked.
"Your guardian shield." He answered."So should I call you guardian or shield?" She asked with ridicule and sarcasm in her eyes and moved her hand towards his head, removing his hooded cloak and patted his hair gently, she then said "you are really pitiful, you know but don't worry I know a physician who is skilled in this field."
"Chu Lanlan you think I am crazy don't you?" He asked and removed her hand from his hair.
"Chu QingQing knows that you are in the capital so you'd better go home because the palace is dangerous."
"Just who on earth are you?" She asked in astonishment.
He answered" The Invisible Warrior, Yu Tian Lan."
"Psycho!" Chu Lanlan said as she left.
