Seeing the worried look on both of their faces, he sighed before putting his hand on their head and he started patting them while replying.

Both nodded with their heads down. Seeing the smile on Kurome's face was enough to tell that she loved his patting. As for Akame, even though she was mostly expressionless when she was not with her little sister, Primis, Ophis, Sheng Ming, and Ais still noticed how her eyes narrowed when Primis started patting her.
