Chapter 11: Am I a book?
Xylo: Why, why am I like this it doesn't make sense How did I become a freaking book.
I said as I watched the mansion being burned to the ground. I was still in my runes form that looked creepy, even though I do look creepy my aura feels welcoming but dark at the same time, I also feel like I'm in incomplete almost like parts of me are separated. With all these questions going around inside of my head I finally had a idea.
Why don't I go to Thanatos he's kind even though he's the personification of death I don't think he would hurt me automatically because of my form I'm guessing he will sense my intentions as soon as I get there or speak to him anyways he probably won't think that I'm some evil book just like the book of shadows. Momiji was able to sense all the evil aura off of Magnus when she was possessed by the book of shadows so why can't he.
I then look down and see two silver and purple daggers that had Memphis and the children's stained blood on them and frown. I didn't even know their names or even bother to ask their names I'd thought. I then looked back at the burning mansion that was polluting the dark night sky with its lights to the point where you couldn't even see the stars anymore.
I'd sigh, I need to go I have some plans I need to prepare for. I'm pretty sure that father will know about me sooner or later because of Thanatos. I should be able to easily shadow step back to my base from here, The form that I have doesn't just give me more physical strength and also gives me a lot more magical power. I'm probably as strong as the seductive roses second form at this point but in physical strength I was able to rip a dude's arm off so i'm pretty sure I'm physically as strong as Moors and the book of shadows but I don't think I'm magically more powerful than the book of shadows but more magical powerful than Moors.
I quickly went to a area where shadows were at and shadow step back to my base. I appeared in front of the caves entrance.
Xylo: I can already tell these wings are gonna be freaking annoying
I said as I try to get in my bedroom door, I finally got through but I lose my balance and fall straight on my face.
Xylo: before going to Thanatos get bigger doors.
I said with a groan.
(2 days later)
Xylo: What to do what to do.
I said as I was looking at a green portal while still in my runes form. I was twirling a dagger in my hand while thinking of a way to persuade Thanatos to help me out. I can't offer him things such as the heads of the hydra because that will be used to get the book of the dead I need something that could help me bargain with him.
Maybe I could do favors for him but kill the hydra. I'm still a kid technically 16 years old at that I don't think he expects me to literally kill it anyways so he's probably gonna do something smaller. And plus it's not like I'm asking for the book of the dead I'm asking for him to help me turn off my form which shouldn't take that long with him as my teacher he knows about the books of the dead because he literally has one.
Xylo: Fuck it.
I said out loud while walking in the portal not before getting my wings stuck again. I appeared on the other side while falling on my face again.
Xylo: these bloody wings.
I said as I got up from the black sandy ground, I looked up and was greeted with a green sky with chains coming from it.
Xylo: so this is the realm of the dead.
I said as I smiled.
Xylo: So quiet as well, I'm kinda enjoying the silence of death.
I quickly notice what I said and held my mouth with my hand.
Xylo: so this is why the book of shadows wanted to kill the whole entire mortal realm. I know that the book of shadows that took over impu enjoy the silence a lot.
I muttered while looking around but was only met with endless black sand terrain with green skies and chains.
Xylo: now how do I meet Thanatos, I think he's at one of his little meetings right now if not he would've been here already.
I just sat down on my butt and waited for him to be done with whatever he is doing. I looked down at both of my hands that had runes on them, I then noticed something strange.
Xylo: The book of Twilights.
I read out loud.
Xylo : so that's what I am, The book of twilights that's probably why I have more of a gentle aura then the book of shadows. But don't think the books shadows powers has nothing to do with its malice to kill everyone I think it's just evil.
I said while waiting for Thanatos.
Xylo: but the problem is how did I become a book I know that Xylo never touched any anomalous book before because I have his memories.
I'd thought, I then had a flashback of the vision with Magnus in it.
Xylo: Wait a min…
I was cut off from my thoughts when I felt the presence of death itself coming towards me at high speeds.
I instantly stood up and held my dagger in front of me.
Clank!
I just in time blocked a huge Scythe from cutting my head off of my body.
???????: A book, how did you get here.
Said the attacker with disgust in his voice.
Xylo: wait I'm no…..
Before I could say anything he Twirled his scythe skillfully and try to slice my arm off. I already saw this coming so I shadow step behind him and kicked him in the back which sent him 10 meters away. When in mid air he quickly stabilized himself and turned towards me. I quickly examined him, he was 8ft tall with a pair of black crow like wings he had 2 blue eyes black hair and a big scythe in his right. He looks like moors but with 2 horns in his human form.
Xylo: I'm sorr….
He Interrupted me again by sending a purple bolt of energy my way, I quickly followed him action by sending my own bolt of energy towards him. As the bolt left my hand both of the spells met at the middle and clashed with each other. It was a fight for dominance just like from the Harry Potter movies but with a lot more power and with hands.
Xylo: why wasn't he like this to the seductive rose.
I groaned with annoyance and frustration as his Stream of energy starts to move closer to me.
Xylo: it's not surprising that he has more energy then me, 1 he is a god and is way more experienced. 2 I'm not complete yet.
I thought as I instantly shadow step out of the way of the stream of energy that was about to hit my hands. Once I moved out of the way The stream of energy made a mini crater from where I was standing previously.
Xylo: phew.
I'd thought as I was also now in the air, this fight now turned into a 3D fight. I raised my palm towards him he got in his stance as he saw this.
Xylo: since he doesn't want to hear me out I'll just have to make him hear me out. |Homing shadows|
I muttered as 4 medium size balls of purple energy shot out form my hands. They shot at him at amazing speeds, he quickly reacted by dodging them as you dodged them he noticed something out of the corner of his eyes. He widen his eyes has the balls of energy that missed him came back and started following him around like homing missiles. He quickly started to dodge them constantly while flying at supersonic speeds with his crow like wings. This gave me enough time to prepare a strategy to beat him.
After three minutes of dodging balls of energy he quickly landed on the ground and summoned a dome of bones that surrounded him like a shield. The 4 balls of Energy hit his shield causing to make a hole in it to where you could see his face that had a little exhaustion on it. Quickly deactivated the spell and the bones soon fell underneath the dirt quickly revealing his whole body. When he turned to see where I was he was met with a fist to his face that sent him flying in the air.
As he was flying he tried to stabilize his balance but I didn't let him get a chance I quickly used shadow step to appear above him, I used a spell named shadow enhancement to increase all my physical abilities to punch him in the face that shot him straight to the ground creating a big crater. I then used shadow step again and appeared above his body while holding a dagger to his throat making sure he that he doesn't get up or uses telekinesis to grab his scythe that fell out of his hands while he fell.
Thanatos: Do it.
He said with disgust.
Xylo: I'm not here to kill you, I'm here for need of you're help.
