A very interesting read. Has a great world background and setup. I'm not an avid gamer, so I'm unaware of any inspiration from other sources. If truly original, it is a remarkable construction. I've read quite a few novels in which protagonists end up in positions with significant authority, but I haven't found one that describes the problems and responsibilities that come with the position as well as this one does, at least not on Webnovel. The plot is intriguing and seems to have been developed enough for readers to sense some direction. While the protagonist is strong enough to deal with most individual challenges he faces, the overarching goal is not straightforward to accomplish, which maintains some tension in proceedings. The protagonist himself is (as of chapter 296) in the dark about quite a few things, so there is an adequate sense of mystery, and the unfolding events slowly seem to come together, something akin to gradually adding more and more pieces to a jigsaw puzzle. It's not a flawless work; the translation isn't great, and some of the arcs aren't as well written as others. However, it is good enough to explore, even if the genre isn't your personal favourite. Overall, highly recommended.
