Chapter 3: Comrades
Strange lights appeared one by one in the Land of Dawn. It seems those lights are pathways created by the portals that is scattered all around the globe, and one of them is the light from the village of Iga.
"Ahhhhhhhh!!!"Grock and Hayabusa shouted as they pass through the cosmic pathway. "I can't believe I'm doing this!" Grock shouted. "Well, having a rock as a companion is the strangest thing I've ever done" Hayabusa replied. "Shut up, you skinny ninja!" Grock furiously said to Hayabusa. "Hey!" Hayabusa answered.
After a minute of free falling, they saw a light. "Prepare yourself skinny ninja, we're heading to the Land of Dawn" Grock said. Hayabusa didn't answered but instead he became silent and closed his eyes.
Hayabusa opened his eyes and was shocked to see what he saw. Countless of dead bodies have scattered all around them. "Wha-what happened here...?" Hayabusa asked Grock. "It seems my prediction came true, chaos has invaded the Land of Dawn. If this isn't stopped, millions of lives will perish here" Grock answered. Hayabusa noticed the strange figure of the dead bodies. "What kind of creatures are they?" Hayabusa asked while investigating oh how they got killed. "These cat-like human creatures are called Leonins, they're rarely spotted because they only inhabit here in the dark forest" Grock answered.
Suddenly, they heard a scream in a nearby distance. Grock and Hayabusa hurriedly ran towards where the scream is. They saw a Leonin fighting a group of monsters with only bare handed, they noticed that the Leonin can also use magic. They hurriedly ran to help the poor creature, but a man with a giant sword suddenly steps in and eliminated the monsters in front of them in seconds.
"That guy is a skilled warrior... Maybe lots of warriors like him do exist here..." Hayabusa said to himself. The man with the giant sword helped the injured Leonin, but the Leonin fainted and the only words he said were "Moni.....Moniyan Empire....". Grock and Hayabusa approached the man.
"Hey, that was incredibly awesome...." Grock said to the man, but the man suddenly points his giant sword to him. "Who are you?" the man asked. "My name's Grock, and this is my friend Hayabusa" Grock answered. "What's your name?" Hayabusa asked the man but the man ignored him.
The man picked up the body of the fainted Leonin but Grock stopped him. The man glared at Grock and attempt the use his sword against him, but Hayabusa stopped him. "What are you gonna do with the Leonin?" Grock asked the man who's currently facing off Hayabusa with his katana. The man dropped his sword and said "I'm going to take that Leonin to the Moniyan Empire, he's got a lot of questions to answer".
"Moniyan Empire? I'm going there too, but I kinda forgot where the path is" Grock said. "If you are gonna come with me to the Moniyan Empire, you better carry that Leonin" the man said. "With pleasure" Grock answered. "Then let's get going" the man said while picking up his sword. He stared at Hayabusa and said "You quite resemble the ninja, I once faught. His skills and strength are quite impressive". Hayabusa was shocked to hear what the man said.
"A ninja? Where did you find him?" Hayabusa asked the man. "I saw him in a nearby village here, it seems you have a reunion to attend" the man answered. "Shut up, thanks for the information by the way" Hayabusa replied and turned to Grock. "Grock it seems we'll be parting ways here" Hayabusa added.
"Well, that's sad to hear but I wish you good luck with your journey, skinny ninja" Grock replied. Hayabusa nodded and hurriedly left Grock and the man with the injured Leonin. "He's quite nosy, isn't he?" the man said. "He sure is" Grock replied. "Now shall we head to the Moniyan Empire?" Grock asked and the man nodded.

*Hayabusa's POV*
"Atlast.... I can finally fulfil my mission, I should be able to complete this task in 2 days. And I can return to see Kagura and the village again" Hayabusa said to himself while jumping at the brances of the trees.

He arrived at the village where the man told him about. But he just saw a village burning in flames, and it seems there's no survivor. He wandered through the burning structures around him, and he noticed a strange looking creature. He saw hundreds of monster coming out from a hole in the ground. Those monsters he saw are the same one who attacked the village of the Leonins. Before he draw his blade, he saw a woman with large horns from flew to greet the monsters.
"It seems our plan is successful, my queen" a monster said to the woman. "This is just the very beginning of our invasion here on the Land of Dawn, more life shall perish from this world" the woman said as she laughed hysterically.
Hayabusa noticed a cage that is being brought to the woman, his eyes widens as when the cage is uncovered. That cage was revealed to be full of Leonin hostages. One Leonin was brought to the woman, Hayabusa is wondering what will be the fate of that creature. The woman gently caressed the head of the poor Leonin and said, "Such delicate creature". The Leonin became frightened and was begging not to eat him and the woman said. "Don't worry dear, I'll make sure that your life is worthy of a meal"
The woman opened her mouth, revealing her sharp fangs and bit the neck of the Leonin. Hayabusa's couldn't believe what was happening before him, he's trying to hold back his anger. The woman kept sucking off the blood of the poor creature and her army of monsters laughed hysterically.
He couldn't held his anger anymore, so drawed his blade attempt to slash the woman infront of him. But before he could do that, an arrow hitted the woman. Every monster was shocked and the ground beneath them exploded.
"Molina Blitz!"
Every monster was knocked out of their consciousness by that explosion. Hayabusa managed to survive the explosion by using his skill Quad Shadow.
"Phew, that was a close one mister!" a young girl said to him. "Nana, that was a good shot!" a woman with a bow said to the girl. Hayabusa opened his eyes and was suprised to see the monsters around him were wiped out. But there was someone who's missing, it was the woman with horns. Hayabusa tried to find her, but the woman with a bow said "It's useless, Alice might have escaped before Nana's magic hit her".
Hayabusa asked for the name of the woman and she replied, "My name's Miya, I'm a moon elf. And that young girl over there is Nana, and she's a Leonin".
"Ah, I see...I can't believe such creatures would exist here..... By the way, my name's Hayabusa. I'm from the village called Iga...I can't thank you enough for rescuing those poor creatures" Hayabusa said. "It's fine Hayabusa, it's also our duty to protect these poor creatures" Miya replied.
Nana suddenly ran towards them and said "Ohh, I think we should be get going before those monsters regain their consciousness".
"Oh crap, we really should be" Miya said as the monsters starts waking up from the stun effect of Molina Blitz. "I'll help you carry those Leonins" Hayabusa said to them. "Thank you mister" Nana said as she told her fellow Leonins to get inside the cage. Hayabusa and Miya hurriedly carried the heavy cage full of injured Leonins before the monsters awake.

Meanwhile at the northern forest....
*Kagura's POV*
I might be lost, it's quite hard to follow this strange light. It's been hours and I can't still find where the light is coming from.
I noticed someone near me and has been following me since I entered this forest. But my only priority right now is to find Hayabusa.
After minutes of walking, I saw a strange structure where the light is coming from. I didn't know that this such thing would exist in a forest. I kept starring at the structure and I noticed a strange thing.
I saw an amulet and I quickly recognized it. It was the amulet of the Order of the Scarlet Shadow, that has been give to Hayabusa.
"Hayabusa must have gone here" I thought to myself. I also noticed that the leaves that passes through the light never came back. It feels like there's something strange going on here.
I tried to throw the stone into the light, and guess what? The stone never passed through it,instead it disappears. I knew that this light wasn't just an ordinary light. And I thought of it as a pathway to another world.
So I decided to make the most idiotic decision that I will ever do.
