Ash and I are standing by the stage when I see that guy River again, I wonder if he works here, I've never seen him before.
"Ash, that guy right there grabbed me when I was heading to the restroom, I don't recognize him. Do you think he's dangerous?" I whisper cautiously trying to make sure no one else hears me.
"Hahaha Awinita, you silly girl, you'll find out who he is soon enough." he laughs back. That bamboo will get it after this party.

*Do you live near town xx? I need a drink later tonight, company party is killing me. XxRiver*
*I do, I'm actually at a company party too, I have Asher with me if that's okay, I'll need to change though, let's say 11pm meet at Ash's family bar?xxAwinita*
*sure thing, gotta go. Xx River*
"who ya texting lover girl," Asher elbows me in the side.
" After this we are meeting that River dude you had me message at your family bar" I elbow him back.
*lights dim and we all focus on the CEO of the company *
"lady's and gentlemen! Welcome to the farewell party of River Stormwell! His family has been working for this company for years and we are all sad to see him go. He will be serving our country for the next few years so please try to wish him a farewell and safe time before you leave," I gasp as the jerk River who grabbed me by the rest room comes on stage.
" what's wrong Awin? Are you okay?" Ash grabs my arm to steady me.
"That's the asshole who grabbed me by the rest room!" I whisper yell back.
His response is a quiet hum as River makes his way to give a farewell speech.
After the speech they did the drawing for the selected partner dance. Ash was pulled away by some girl while I wait for whoever got me to come find me. Out of the corner of my eye I see River asking around for me and I remember I gave him a false name so he doesn't recognize me. To avoid having to dance with this ass, I start to run toward the restrooms just for Asher to appear out of nowhere and drag me to River.
"Awinita stop running from destiny, enjoy yourself, " he whispers in my ear giving me a swat on the butt before swinging away to his dance.
River sees me and starts walking toward me. I look around for an escape but there isn't, the crowd parted a circle around us because River is the king of the party. He grabs my hand and starts to pull me along into a dance as other around join in.
"So opal, or should I say Awinita, would you like to tell me when you gave me a false name?" he pulls me close and hums into my ear.
"I... I don't know you." I try to look for an escape now.
"Why accept the invite of someone you don't know for drinks then?" His words catch me off guard.
"You're that river!" I exclaim a little loud.
"Haha yes hun, I am," he laughs back. I really am going to kill Ash when we get back tonight.
The music comes to an end and people start coming up to him saying goodbye and I take that as my chance to grab Ash and drag him to the corner of the party.
" What the fuck were you thinking Ash! Why didn't you tell me it was that jerk before I accepted to go get drinks with him, I have to cancel," I state angrily as I grab my phone.
"No no bad girl, we are going whether you like it or not," Asher mocks grabbing my phone from me as if he's disciplining a child.
I try to fight for my phone but I still work here and can't look stupid so I decide to drag him out to the car.
"I am not going, now give me my damn phone Ash before I kick your weak ass," in starting to get angry, he won't give me my phone and is making me meet this pervert.
"Awin please just do this for me. If you still don't like him after tonight I'll give up." he begs me one last time.
I sigh, "Fine, text him saying we are still coming and give me my phone. We need to get home and changed. You owe me some expensive drinks tonight."
He laughs, "Whatever you say princess. Let's get going now. I know the perfect outfit that will blow his mind away!" and once again Ash is back to being his excited self again. The rest of the car ride home was his frantic planning and excitement full of laughs.
