Chapter 1: Enter: The Piece
"What a blissful night down here in Shinjiku Stadium!" an announcer roared. "Tonight we have the main event, otherwise known as the match between the home favorites; Shinjiku United! And here, the challengers who stepped onto the field to take down the fan favorites, FC Tokyo! Whoever wins this goes on to face Japan's U20 for their spot!"
*Somewhere in Kyoto, Japan a teenage boy sits and watches the tv.*
"Shocker! Time to eat!" a woman yells from across the house.
"Ok mom! What time do we need to leave by?" Shocker yells back.
"We need to leave in thirty minutes so hurry up and eat." his mother exclaims.
The TV can be heard in the background, the announcer yells out, "FC Tokyo's Ace Striker Sync rushes to score and break the equalizer! Hes past the defenders, and it's a GOAAAAL! FC TOKYO WINS 2-1!"
The time flashes forward to 90 minutes later the match between Intermiyabi and Chrome Tech, Shocker is seen running past two defenders and gets ready to shoot. Shocker thinks to himself, "If I can score this then we can win and go to nationals!"
Shockers coach yells from afar, "Shocker remember to pass this isnt a solo sport!"
Shocker starts to think, "He's right! This is a sport played with 11 players!"
Flexxer runs up to the wing, wide open and yells "SHOCKER PASS IT HERE!" Shocker passes the ball over to Flexxer.
"Nice, now we can win!" Shocker thinks. However Flexxer ends up missing the goal by an inch away.
"W-what!? How could he miss such an easy goal?" The ball is launched over to the enemy teams ace striker Benny. Benny runs up to the goal and shoots… It's a goal! Intermiyabi wins 1-0 game over! Benny is seen in an interview with the press.
"What an amazing goal Benny! Do you have any comments about the match?" a press reporter states.
"Honestly that match was a piece of cake! Personally I think their wannabe ace needs some more practice! Benny Boasts.
"Thats very egotistical of you…" the reporter reponds.
Shocker is seen running on the way home bummed by his loss. "If only Flexxer didnt miss… Oh well, no point on dwelling on the past now." Shocker retorts.
Shocker opens the door to find his mom opening mail, "Hey honey, how was the game?" she asks.
Shocker responds "Ah, we lost 1 - 0. Flexxer the short one missed a goal by an inch."
Shockers Mom responds, "Thats a shame… You got some mail from the Japanse Football Association? Oh, looks like it's a training camp for strikers, are you interested?
Shocker walks over to his mom and grabs the letter, "Huh, looks interesting I guess I can check it out."
Shocker's Mom says "Ok, well it's set tomorrow so get to bed early!"
… The Next Day …
Shocker walks to up the the old looking building, "This looks like a deserted factory. Oh well lets go!" Shocker opens the rusted door to find hundreds of other people all watching the stage.
Right as shocker opens the door, Benny laughs out loud " Whats this failure doing here!"
"Same thing your here for, no point in being rude about it." Shocker retorts back.
The lights shut off and a voice is heard (a moroccan accent) "Alright shitters, do you want to get banned from this camp?? Quiet down!" The crowd calms down and the voice starts again, "You all are shit and the worst strikers there is! However, I can help you get better." the voice announces "My name is Nico, the mastermind behind this camp." The crowd starts yelling at him and he yells back "Shut the hell up! Let me reiterate, you're all half-baked. You lack the ego necessary to be true strikers. This job is not a team sport in the slightest."
The crowd stays silent until a voice in the back is heard, "Yeah right dirty-ass, im nothing like what you think! I'm the jewel of Japan after all!" Benny is brave to have yelled this out.
Nico responds back, "Yeah sure, just because you beat some measly high-school team, and made it to nationals doesn't make you special, now lock off pissant. Listen here all 300 of you all are to go against each other in a set of battles so to say, out of the three hundred of you here, only one will remain" Nico moves the mic and walks to the side, "Alright, Im done wasting my time. If you want to get better then come through this gate. But, if you want to stay the shit-stain you all are then, fuck off.
The crowd stays still and quiet, even a rat can be heard squeaking. Shocker thinks to himself "This could be my chance to improve and get back at Benny!"
Benny yells "Your right, this is a waste of time. Im out of here!"
Nico states "Ah right I forgot to mention, if you leave you are banned to play for Japans National Team."
Benny says back "You can't be serious…"
Someone with blond hair and red eyes starts to run up and yells "If that's the case then no point in staying here!" The crowd of highschoolers run up until theres only 5 people remain: A black spiked hair stiker that stands above the rest, a white haired boy sitting against the wall, an orange haired muscle-freak arguing with Benny, and Shocker are still there.
Nico yells behind him, "Hurry up, doors are closing!"
Shocker nudges the white haired kid and states "Come on wake up!"
The orange haired muscle freak walks up to them, "I can just take him there, don't worry and lets get going"
The rest of them walk into the hallway and the doors close behind them. An announcement comes on, "The Blue Lock Project has started."
