The awakened one sat in its corner, watching as the insects started to feed on the looters. The damp room became boring yet again, darkness wasn't a concept for the skeleton. 'Sight' was an entirely different concept for it, it simply 'saw' but didn't pay it much mind.
With the deaths of the three tomb raiders, the awakened one was slightly more alert. Another attack would be near impossible to repel with its current condition. One half of its rib cage was broken, still needing urgent healing. Perhaps the looters have something that can help.
The awakened one approached the lifeless bodies and stripped them of their possessions. One body after another was left on the ground without any of its worldly possessions. The skeleton managed to collect a few daggers and a hand axe. Using some cloth that it stripped from the corpses, the awakened one strapped the weapons securely on its body. The skeleton then went back to its corner and waited again.
1 day later:
The awakened one finally heard movement from above the hole in the ceiling, and what seemed to be voices.
"Dammit Heinrich! That good for nothing brother of yours must have gotten lost!"
"Dirk, my brother is not an idiot! He must have found something and gotten into trouble."
"Heinrich! That brother of yours hasn't reported back for a whole day! He is probably dead, along with Jorg and what's his name."
crack...
"Oyyy! I think I heard something..."
The two people looked to their toes to find a small human sized hole in the ground. The hole seemed very dark and ominous, almost as if it was warning them to stay away.
"Shit! I nearly fell in!"
"Dirk, don't overreact, it's not a long drop anyway..."
Suddenly Heinrich dropped his torch down the hole, revealing an even more terrifying scene.
"..."
"Do you see that too?"
"Yes Heinrich... those are bodies."
The two of them dropped down the hole and inspected the dead bodies of the looters, again not paying attention to the skeleton in the corner.
[I am in Not in a favourable condition to battle these two, I must wait for a more convenient time to strike]
The two men were filled with terrified expressions, Heinrich being the most devastated of the pair. Finding his brother dead, he wept for 10 minutes, not giving himself a time to pause.
"Dirk. The person who killed him. Were is that person? I will make him pay."
"I don't know Heinrich, no sane person would dare kill your brother."
"That's right! The house of Tempestcoat will not forget this death! Whoever did this will pay with their lives!"
"Heinrich... I think I may have found something."
Dirk moved towards the slightly damaged door, to find that it was hit by what seems to be a club at least 10 times.
"Heinrich, this door is quite badly damaged."
"This seems all to fishy... first we find our friends dead and naked, and then we find a damaged door. I think they were ambushed, they probably tried to make an escape through this door."
"Whoever did this is probably as good at fighting as me."
"Dirk, stop being anxious! We need to find out what is behind that door and probably get out of this place. I will take my brother's body with me."
"Heinrich... was that skeleton there the whole time?"
Dirk finally noticed the awakened one slumped in the corner of the room, completely ruining its one chance to sneak up on them.
"No... wait! That's my brother's axe-"
STAB
"AAAGH!"
The skeleton quickly rose up and stabbed a dagger straight into Heinrich's left shoulder. The skeleton then proceeded to punch the man away, knocking him prone.
"THAT SKELETON IS ALIVE!" Dirk yelled.
The skeleton approached the frightened Dirk, cutting straight into the latter's head with a hand axe. The now useless Heinrich lay on the ground, after witnessing the execution of his long time friend, he could only shed tears.
"DAMMIT! YOU FILTHY UNDEAD! THE NAME OF HEINRICH TEMPESTCOAT IS A FAMOUS ONE! IF YOU KILL ME-"
STAB
"Your name has no use here. I have no name, why should I care about yours? You haven't even earnt it." The skeleton spoke.
The skeleton then proceeded to loot the tomb raiders, completely unaffected by what just happened. The awakened one already felt stronger, but it still needed more strength.
This time the awakened one found an unsheathed steel longsword which was strapped to the body of Heinrich. The skeleton took the sword and claimed it for itself, adding another tool to its collection. The only other piece of useful gear was an iron breastplate which belonged to Dirk, but for some odd reason, the awakened one could not donn it. Perhaps it has something to do with the armor that it already has, maybe it can't use armor that is not specifically made for it. A truly disappointing revelation for the awakened one.
12 hours later:
KNOCK KNOCK
The door was opened, revealing Doorman on the other side, clenching his mace in preparation for a battle. Seeing the awakened one still active, Doorman relaxed his grip.
"Brother! Well done. Thou hast destroyed the enemies of Nazarick without mercy, proving thine strength. Now then... absorb their souls quickly, do not waste a single resource. We may not have our elder lich, but we still have ways to strengthen ourselves."
Doorman raised his hand and red orbs of energy flew out of the corpses.
"Brother, thou hast done extremely well. I thought that this duty was too difficult for a new warrior such as thou, but I was clearly wrong. I am glad thou wasn't too heavily damaged.
"What do you mean by that?" The awakened one asked.
"For as long as the tomb throne is active, all brothers can not be fully destroyed. Thou may be crushed, but thou shall not die." Doorman answered.
"Quickly eat their souls."
The awakened one then proceeded to the red orbs, devouring them. After a brief moment of rest, a red light emerged from the awakened one.

"Not quite enough to evolve. Thou shall eventually though." Doorman stated.
"Am I strong?" The awakened one asked.
"You can be considered strong when you receive your first name. But even then, one can still become stronger."
No one cares about the Tempestcoats.
