I groaned in my sleep, reaching out for Risha when I didn't feel her body heat or her body trying to climb mine. My eyes darted open and I sighed, sitting up. Coco was asleep at on the other end of the king sized bed.

"Baby?" I called, my legs touched the ground. My slides weren't where I left them and I knew she had worn them and either gone outside or she was in the kitchen rummaging through the fridge.

"I hope she's in the damn kitchen" I grumbled to myself. The last time, she walked outside the house and came back with a cold.

It had been almost a year since I met Risha. Nine blissful amazing months. Nine months that I would never trade for anything.

I heard her voice from the kitchen and the apprehension in my chest disappeared.?

We moved two months ago. Far from the toxicity. We couldn't even go to the grocery store without getting looked at. So I bought us a new house in Los Angeles after we went house shopping.
