Chapter 111: Chapter 111

Earth -2

Within a forest of China, a blue wormhole opened. Niles ran out of the wormhole while carrying Kara and Alura with him. The wormhole closed behind Niles as he slid to a stop, leaving a trail of fire. He looked down at the crying Kara, sighing internally.

"There was nothing we could do," Niles whispered in a calm and soothing voice. He slowly dropped the confused Alura on her feet before hugging Kara. "Please don't cry."

Alura said nothing and hugged her crying mother. They stayed like that for some seconds before Kara wiped her tears, hugging them back.

"I am okay." She said, sniffing.

Their peace was interrupted by a bright flash of light in the sky above them before a spaceship bigger than an aircraft carrier appeared. Niles looked up, immediately knowing who it was. Kara looked up, hiding Alura behind her. She tried to see into the ship, which reminded her she has temporarily lost her power due to a red Kryptonite.

The ship levitated above them, and with a bright flash of light, a man appeared some meters in front of them. He stood about 6'1" with silver hair that reached his jaw and bright yellow eyes. He has a lean muscular build and is donned in an all-black high-neck jacket with matching pants, dark dress boots, and black leather gloves. He looked over to them, a chilling smile on his face.

"Carnage!!" Kara shouted, running toward him and throwing the heaviest punch she can muster.

Impulse causally blocked her punch before saying, "I don't go by Carnage anymore. Please call me Impulse now." He said, throwing her to the side like a rag doll. She slammed into a tree, hitting her head hard and going unconscious. Impulse looked back at the calm Niles, staring a conversation with him at superspeed. "I guess you filled your quota so you can stop being a hero."

"No, I didn't. Niles corrected with a sigh.

"I know I endangered the life of billions. How the fuck haven't you completed your quota?" Impulse asked, genuinely confused.

"It turns out you didn't count. After all, you are me." Niles said, shrugging. "It seems like the speed force won't accept it."

Impulse stared at Niles before shrugging. "I did what I could, and now I need your help."

"How dare you hurt mama!!" Alura shouted, interrupting their conversation. Purple aura covered her body as a strong pressure came out of her, flattening the forest around them in a one-mile radius.

"Oh? She also gained your telekinesis." Impulse said, inspecting Alura.

She looked up at Impulse, her eyes glowing a sinister purple. With a purple streak, she appeared in from of Impulse, punching at his head. He caught her fist with his right hand but much to his surprise, all the bone in his arm shattered from the force of the punch.

"What the fuck!?" Impulse shouted, dodging the second punch from her. His right arm, which already regenerated, shot forward at superspeed, aiming for her head.

Niles suddenly appeared beside Alura, grabbing onto Impulse's arm, stopping it from piercing through Alura's head. He then knocked out Alura, all while staring into Impulse's eyes. Impulse pulled his arm away from Nile's grip, turning around.

"Come with me." Impulse commanded, a bright beam shooting down from the ship and sucking him up.

Niles sighed in relief, looking down at the fainted Alura. "You almost got yourself killed, kid." He mumbled, placing her next to her fainted mother. "Too bad I can't take you along."

He then walked into the white light, appearing within the bridge of the Traveler. Velocity looked around, his eyes stopping on a holographic cracked hexahedron in the middle of the room, atop an octagon counsel.

[I am Xerah, the AI of this ship. Welcome aboard]

"Good to meet you. I am Niles." Niles nodded, looking around the room. "Where is Impulse?"

[The Operator will be with you soon. Please have a seat]

A seat came out the floor next to the octagon counsel, and Niles sat on it. He waited a while before Impulse appeared across the counsel with white light. He took a seat, crossing his legs.

"So about your..." Impulse paused, thinking of the word to use, "Your daughter. How do you control her?"

"You really think I would let a monster like that run around without having any control over it?" Niles laughed, pounding the council. "You are so funny, Impulse. When did you become so funny?"

Impulse folded his arm, leaning back on his chair. "Do you?"

"No, I don't," Niles said, rubbing the back of his neck. "But I can kill her with a drug formula I made. One-touch, and it will burn her to ashes."

Impulse stared at the nervous Niles, tapping his arm with his finger. Niles kept looking around, feeling like a child in the presence of his parent after doing something stupid.

"Haha, take this and forget about the conversation we just had," Niles said, a trident appearing on his hand, which he then tossed across the counsel at Impulse.

Impulse caught the trident, a smile appearing on his face. "How did you get this!?" He asked in an excited voice. After all, this was the Trident belonging to Aquaman.

"While running away with Kara, I quickly killed Aquaman taking his trident. I then put it into this magical storage ring Zatanna made for me." Niles said, raising his finger to show a ring with a lightning bolt symbol.

"Zatanna." Impulse mumbled, smiling down at the trident. "Now, for what I need you to do."

Niles sat up, listening closely.

"I will be going back to the instant the Kryptonians are about to be destroyed allonge with their planet. I need to use your telekinesis to take as much Kryptonian as you can to a far away Rogue planet. I will be eating as many Kryptonians as I can to evolve." Impulse explained, still looking down at the Trident. "Since they were going to die anyway, it won't make no change to the timeline."

"Ok. That isn't so hard," Niles mumbled, nodding. "But why that much?"

"The more, the merrier." Impulse simply said, waving the trident around. "We are here. Get ready."

"Wait. How did you know that?" Niles asked with a surprised tone. "And how did you immediately know which parallel universe I traveled to?

Impulse finally looked up from the trident, seeing Niles's surprised face. "Spatial and Temporal Awareness." He said, placing his hand on the council. A 3-D image of the planet Krypton was displayed.

"How do you get that?" Niles asked, looking down at his hands.

"Become the Speed force slave." Impulse said, standing up, "Send Niles out."

Niles immediately disappeared, appearing below the ship and falling towards the planet. Impulse appeared within the navigation room, commanding the ship to use hyperspeed to escape the planet. He doesn't know if Niles would be able to escape the planet with the Kryptonians before the black hole eats him, and he won't be staying around to find out. Although his plan is heavily leaning toward the success of Niles, he can change it when Niles doesn't come back.

The Traveler appeared many light-years away, as Impulse began to wait. To his surprise, he still felt Niles speed force energy in the universe and it was moving very fast towards his direction. Looking out the windshield, all he saw was a purple and blue streak go past.

"Follow it." Impulse said, happy that Niles succeeded.

The Traveler immediately shot forward, catching and keeping up to the purple streak which stopped on a frozen rogue planet. The purple streak revealed itself to me Niles and about a billion Kryptonians.

"Well shit. He brought more than expected." Impulse muttered, looking at the confused Kryptonians and Niles who put up the middle finger at him before disappearing with a purple and blue streak. "Telekinesis sure is useful."

Impulse stood up from his seat, leaning the Trident on the chair, before walking to stand in front of the windshield and looking at the frozen planet. "I could transform into a 240 miles titan. In comparison, this planet is..." Impulse trailed off, waiting for something.

[Oh, Operator? Are you waiting for something?]

"Yes. I was waiting for you to finish my sentence by telling me this planet's surface area." Impulse said, rubbing the bridge of his nose.

[The Operator, be more specific]

After that, the room went silent for some time before Impulse said, "Xerah, are going to tell me this planet's surface area or not?"

[You were still waiting for that? Sorry Operator, I will scan this planet as soon as possible. Please wait...]

The room went silent again. Impulse waited for five minutes before speaking. "Xerah, what is the surface area? How long will it take to scan such a small planet?"

[Operator, how do you expect me to scan the planet without sufficient energy? Please, think this through]

"What the fuck!?" Impulse shouted, slamming his head hard against the windshield.
