Sentry stood in the middle of a small room, staring at a whiteboard. The room's only light source was a lightbulb in the middle of the room. A word was written on the board, [Emotions]. From the day he got created, the only emotion he has felt was anger and fear. He wasn't interested in other emotions till he saw the kind of abilities one can gain when either sad, feeling vengeful, or when they are in love. Studying the X-Force brought him much more insights into these fields, but it wasn't enough. He wanted to feel it, not watch others.
Maybe due to his interest, he gained the ability of Empathy. That happened some minutes ago, after finding out he could feel the emotion of a rat. But it wasn't enough. He could go out to a city and bask in the millions of people's emotions, but a controlled emotion is something he wants. He wants to know what each of them felt like was better. It is like eating multiple flavors of ice cream without knowing which is which.
"So which one." He looked up, watching the X-Force return from their mission. They were all giving off unknown felling, some which he liked, others, not so much. "They trust me. Too much. From what I read, if I go against their trust, they would feel betrayed. So all I have to do is betrayal them, and it would all come flowing in."
He noticed Damian and Djinn coming into his room and decided to began his plan. Using his superspeed, he cleaned the board. He ran past them to get their pictures and some post-its before arranging them on the whiteboard. He stepped back to look at his work before leaving the room. The seed of betrayal has been planted.

Hearing those words from Sentry, Djinn clenched her jaw as her face contorted with rage. "You vile demon!" She shouted, her magic flaring.
"Please, call me Sentry. I don't appreciate being called a Demon." Sentry said, his voice still as calm as ever.
"How dare--"
Robin grabbed hold of Djinn's hand, causing her to calm down. He then stepped forward, asking, "What is the true reason you put the team together?"
"For my Father." Sentry said with a shrug.
Robin frowned, even more confused. "Why?"
"As you already know. Each of you guys is going to be of use to him. For Robin, your connection with Batman. Raven, her magic. Crush, her alien race. Aqualad, his ability to control water." He paused, gesturing to Djinn. "And especially you. You would be a perfect addition to his collection."
"There is something you don't understand about me, Sentry." Djinn said, pulling her hands out of Robin's as she started walking towards Sentry. "In the 4 thousand years I have been alive, I have made Kings and Queen. Puppeteered Great Wars. Eradicated Empires older than the world could record. And I do NOT respond well to the threats." Her magic flared more, covering the room in a pink-purple aura. "If you knew the things I am truly capable of, you would never have come here tonight. It is well within my power to make you like a nightmare worse than--"
"Please, stop with this monolog." Sentry polite said, cutting her off. He looked down into glowing purple eyes with a pink aura, "If I recall, you are 4001 years old. Let me ask you a question. Do you know how old I am?" Sentry grabbed her jaw, tilting her head to look into his eyes. "Do you think your age would scare me? I am older than this planet that created you. Older than your solar system. Little girl, I am 10 billion years old."
Damian's mouth dropped open after hearing that. From his month with Sentry, he has never lied. Withhold information he did, but never have he lied. If he is still keeping to always telling the truth, what kind of a monster is he. He hasn't ever heard of a being that has lived more than 10 thousand years, talkless of a billion.
He bent down, his face coming closer to hers. "Your power is strong. With your ring, a man can become a god to his peers. He can wish for a mountain of gold, and it will appear. He wishes for an empire, and it would be granted. I admit, your reality manipulation ability is magnificent, but let me ask you this? Can a man wish for a planet? Can he wish to be as strong as you? Can he wish... to be a God?
"Your power is only strong on Earth. You are a god on earth. A being who cannot be messed with. But in the face of the universe? The multiverse?" His eyes started giving out a red sinister aura, causing Djinn to began shivering. "You are nothing but a grain of sand in a desert. Small. Insignificant. Irrelevant--"
"Get away from her!!" A loud voice came from behind Sentry, as a kick coming from behind him, which he swiftly dodged. Crush missed her kick but caught herself in the air before grabbing the shivering Djinn and landing beside Robin. "I never like you, and now I know why."
In the darkness of the stares, four red eyes glowed with multiple tendrils of darkness came out, wrapping around Sentry. "How dare you use me!!" A voice of Raven mixed with a man's voice boomed from the stairs.
Sentry watched as raven floated into the room, her dark blue cloak now red and her two eyes transforming into four gleaming bright red glowing eyes. His eyes moved to the red gem on her forehead. He and Raven have gotten closer after living together for three months, leading him to learn more about her. The gem is a containment unit for the purpose to imprison her inner demon, and can also be used to summon her father, Trigon. From what he knows, Trigon is a universal threat that Impulse, someone many times stronger than him, can't hope to beat. Antagonizing her any further would be foolish. He is already experiencing the emotion of betrayal from Robin, Djinn, and Crush, so Raven was not needed.
"Raven, why don't you come with me?" Sentry asked, smiling at her. "I will help you with your control, defeat your father and bring back your fallen team. It has been postponed for far too long." Sentry truly has no idea how to revive them. The only reason he was able to revive some of the dead Titians before was because their souls were still in the realm of the living. By now, they will be long gone. "I promise--"
"SHUT UP!!" Aqualad shouted, running from behind Raven, forming two water mace and slamming it into Sentry's jaw.
Aqualad's shear strength isn't enough to move Sentry even a nanometre, but he decided to play along. When the mace met with his jaw, he flew up, destroying the ceiling of the room, coming out the ground of the first floor. Aqualad jumped into the first floor through the hole, looking over to Sentry, laying on rubbles some meters away from him.
"Why did you lie to us!?" He shouted, his eyes glowing blue. "You took me in when I had nowhere to go. I believed in you. Followed you. You were like a father to me. Why? JUST WHY!?"
Sentry looked at Aqualad who had tears streaming down his eyes. A multitude of emotions was streaming out of him. Rage, anger, hatred, and others he doesn't know of. "I never lied." Sentry said, standing up and rubbing his jaw. "But, I did withhold some information. Like for example, I never saw you as a son."
"ARRRRRG!" Aqualad shouted, gripping his water bearers tighter as the markings on his arm glowed. All the water in the mansion shot out the ground, throwing Sentry through the roof of the building. It pushed him more than ten feet above the building, freezing moments late, with only Sentry's head being free. It was still night, with the moon out. Due to the X-Mansion location being in the middle of an unknown forest in New York, the noises of wild animals can be heard.
Crush jumped up through the building, arriving in front of Sentry frozen in place, giving a wide grin. She clenched her fist then threw a heavy punch at his face. Sentry casually broke the ice, catching her fist. Despite the grin on her face, he knew she felt hurt. She wanted to cry but she hides it behind that menacing grin of hers.
"You never ceases to amaze me, Crush." Sentry said, throwing her to the forest. "Wake up to reality. This is a world of Heroes, Villains, and Viganlantiee. Your neighbor can be the great hero that saves the Earth on daily basis. A villain who keeps trying to rule over Earth. Or a Viganlantiee, just trying their best to keep the world safe."
"Shut up!" Robin shouted, arriving at the top of the mansion throwing multiple exploding Batarang at the flying Sentry.
Sentry waved his hand, sending the Batarrange flying away from him. "You Robin, are supposed to be the son of Batman. But you did not research me. Your father told you multiple times to stay away from me, but what did you do? Disobeyed. You didn't even bother to ask why." He said, happening in front of Robin and grabbing his neck. "Despite you saying you are the best Robin, all I can see is a joke. An immature child. A weakling."
"Shut. Up." Robin breathed, punching and kicking at Sentry.
"Let him go!" Djinn shouted, blasting through the roof and shooting multiple blasts of purple and black mystical energy at him.
Sentry dodged the blast, thinking. 'Betrayal is a confusing emotion. I read it can result in a myriad of emotions ranging from anger and rage to denial and avoidance, but this is more than I expected.' He used his telekinesis to stop Djinn, 'I don't understand it fully. I guess this is the equivalent of those gamers' human saying, 'Attacking the boss after you haven't killed any mobs.'
"I WILL KILL YOU!!" Aqualad shouted, the ice transforming into the water and forming a cocoon around Sentry and Robin. He was blinded by rage and didn't notice Robin in the water bubble. "Why!? WHY!?"
"Calm down!" Raven's voice echoed, calming everyone down. The water bubble around Sentry and Robin burst with Robin passed out. She looked over to Sentry, her eyes void of any emotion, saying, "What is your plan now?"
"Nothing." He said, letting go of Robin and Djinn. He started floating to the sky, smiling at Raven. "We will meet again." And with that, he disappeared.
