Chapter 27: the walking immortal
the good news? I have truth and lie, my time powers, my creation power, and Hestia's power.
the bad news? I was in the golden age, and Kronos hasn't had kids yet.
so I did what any immortal would do. I wandered the earth.
I witnessed endless chaos... not lady chaos. totally different. how long I wandered the earth I don't know, but I know that rhea was pregnant with Hestia.
I began walking and kept my hood up and arrived at her room. I didn't say anything but remained in the shadows.
when she was about to give birth I appeared and helped alleviate the pain she was in. she damn near broke my arm when she was birthing.
but I took it like a man and didn't make a noise and pushed through it. there I saw Hestia and I carried her in my arms and squished her baby cheeks.
I stopped time and took a picture and then resumed it.
this will be a fun story for another time though. I handed her to rhea and a couple of tears fell out from my eyes as I knew what was going to happen.
"what's your name," I heard rhea ask.
"Just call me guardian," I said as she heard wings flap and I disappeared.
I had to let things proceed how they did, otherwise, the myths wouldn't go the way they were supposed to.
that didn't stop me from watching over her, after all not much I can do. I bore witness to the birth of the gods and help rhea deliver the gods.
course I was going to use this later and rub it in their faces how I was older.
Hestia was by far the cutest, but hades gave her a run for her money.
I watched them hide on an island covered with mist and I decided to make my move.
I had my hood up and began walking towards them. I took a picture of their surprised faces.
"It's you," rhea said pointing towards me.
"Indeed, look how cute you got. I remember when you were barely born," I said squishing Hestia's cheeks.
"Who are you," hades said raising his poster to intimidate me.
"he was the one who helped deliver you," rhea answered.
"just so you guys know, when the time comes I will help you against the fight with Kronos. I'll personally take either atlas or Kronos.
preferably Kronos since I'll need to teach him a couple of lessons. as of now train, and grow stronger. fate is on your side," I said as I disappeared.

it didn't take long before the day came when we were finally going to attack Kronos.
I appeared before them once again and helped them. I fought both atlas and Kronos at the same time.
strong fighters, however not as powerful as Lucifer. atlas was more difficult but then I thought about what he did to Zoe and beat his ass harder.
after that fight, I disappeared. I only appeared when there was a child being born.
the Olympians made a throne for me, although it was never used.
then it happened. I was on the island of Delos, helping Leto give birth to Artemis.
a chubby girl. I made sure to take a picture to show her later.
she grew at a fast pace and she like everyone else was curious about my face under the hood.
"and under this hood... is another good," I said revealing the hood.
she tried to be sneaky and see my face. so on one occasion I took my hood off and let her get a glimpse of my face.
then I help delivered Apollo. I slew the python and touched Artemis's forehead.
"I got to go now. be careful you three," I said walking away.
"oh yeah before I forget," I said reaching into my pocket.
I withdrew three items.
a dagger, a necklace, and a lyre.
"This is for you. and the lyre is for you," I said handing the dagger and necklace to Artemis and the lyre to Apollo.
and like that, I was never seen again. at least until Orion. he didn't even make it to the hunt because he found me.
I tortured him myself, and I loved it.
the gods thought that the guardian had died because he wasn't heard from again.
little did they know it was because he was drinking with Lucifer in hell.
but that's a story for another time.
I watched all the wars that were waged and I also watched Artemis hunt.
I sent some girls her way, but I had another important job. I got into the habit of helping hades with his realm.
I didn't go in as guardian, but I went in as John Smith.
I watched WW2 in person and celebrated my four thousand and tenth birthday. then the day I was born happened and I took my place.
as in I was "born" but I just deaged myself. then came school.
Luke stole Zeus' lighting bolt but I had to go on a quest to get it.
so of course I sent a clone to do it.
what was I doing? drinking with Lucifer in hell.
then it was time for me to go to Westover high to get Nico and Bianca.
everything went to plan and I made my way over while my clones fought the manticore.
that's when Artemis came in disposing of the monster.
"Should I say welcome Arty," as I walked into my clone?
her head snapped at the voice and her eyes hardened.
"ah I suppose you would recognize me like this," I said as I snapped my fingers and my outfit came on.
"guardian," she said as she tackled me to the ground surprising everyone there.
"This will be a long story," I laughed.
