Chapter 86: Anamoly

Argen sat in front of the man, his silver eyes shaking as he heard a question he'd never been asked.

It was always. "Argen why are we doing this?" Or, "Argen why do you hate the gods?" Never had he been asked why he was so angry.

"Why... Why am I angry?" Argen muttered to himself as the man looked around.

"Damn... seems your world has limited time, since you're connected to it taking you out messes it up quite a bit, You're fully rested now, perfect conditions to fight a war in... Word of advice, don't bother holding back..."

"What are you saying? Take me away from my world?" Argen said, his normal expression returning from the gloomy one he had prior.

"Hah... Yeah, I sorta kinda put you in a world that you aren't supposed to be in, but oh well, you're connected to it now, so it gets angry when you leave, all the stuff you encountered were things added once you were added... I can't even enter since I'm banned from nearly every multiverse... But hey, it is what it is... Later now Argen," The man stood up and dusted off his jeans as he turned and began walking.

A second later he stopped, looking back at Argen with an awkward smile. "Not literally, I'll never see you again, you failed the recruitment process so I can't make you my wrath... I know it's an unfortunate situation, but oh well... Goodbye forever king of universe 8903475 C, I have a friend to catch up with so if you'll excuse me..."

And with that the man disappeared, and Argen awoke back in his body as if nothing had happened.

...

(Present time)

'I... Am not supposed to be in this world…' Argen thought as Percy battled with the titan, focusing entirely on the fight and not noticing Argen's state of shock.

"Your efforts are almost laughable..." The titan said as he smiled and stood still, allowing Percy to land blow after blow on him.

"Not only did I get the river styx, but I have my body back, all I need now is to get used to the feel, once that's done it'll be over." Kronos said smirking to himself as Percy slashed again, this time cutting the sword across the titans cheek, drawing a thin line of blood.

"Are you… Sure about that?" Percy said as the sword Caliburn glowed in his hands.

Time slowed. Percy's next slash was not nearly fast enough to hit Kronos.

Percy was soon knocked back by the force of the titan's attack, sending him flying into a marble pillar.

"Selene, is Kronos really that strong?" Argen asked the moon titaness who sat close to him, both of them drawing lines on the floor.

"If you are thinking of recruiting him to help in the true war then forget it, there's no point in bringing that guy into our ranks, he'd backstab us once he was sure it was safe."

"Be that as it may, his power is useful, Imagine he could pause time long enough for me to simply destroy the army?" Argen smiled a little at the thought, if only things were that easy.

"But, you're right, he'd be too unpredictable, I don't know if I could counter that ability, so it's better not to risk it…"

Argen sighed at the thought. He had bigger things to worry about, and they were coming soon. He had to ignore the old sages words for now, he belonged here, and if he didn't… Well he wouldn't be here much longer anyway.

"Ugh!" Percy grunted as he walked through the slowness, veins bulging from his arms as he held onto Caliburn with all his strength.

Blood dripped from his hand, so much energy was going into this one attack that it was physically bearing onto the boy.

"Argen they are coming, we have three hours tops before the true battle begins…" Selene said to Argen as she appeared, fully decked out in traditional Greek battle armor.

"Is that so? Has there been enough life absorbed? We only have one shot at this," Argen said as he opened his hand and looked down at the silver energy.

Springing out of it was a beautiful golden and silver box, cold to the touch but also strangely welcoming.

"Don't be tricked by the box, you can not open it… Yet," Selene said, snapping Argen out of his short trance.

Suddenly, Argen twisted his hand out of reach, staring down at a young looking girl with glowing skin and auburn hair.

"Pandora's box, hand it over now," Hestia said, a small edge to her voice as she reached out for the box.

"Unfortunately, I can't do that. This is very important, and it will also save everyone here live… Not to mention it looks cool."

Before Hestia could counter an angry voice reached their ears.

"I'm not doing this for the gods!" Percy yelled out, charging Kronos as golden and blue energy swirled around Caliburn.

"Too late boy," Kronos said, smiling as cracks in his skin appeared and golden light started seeping through them.

"Well, guess you need me to have the box now don't you?" Argen said with a small smile as he flashed toward Kronos, only stopping as he felt his entire body slow.

'Hm? His power affects me even while I have the shroud?' Argen thought as he moved slowly toward the glowing man.

"It is foolish to fight your betters, all you mortals should kneel before me and beg for forgiveness, just wait, that son of nemesis that you all know is gone, behold… For I am Kronos!"

Argen looked away as the man transformed, hoping everyone was doing the same, it'd be a shame if their souls burnt up just when the battle was almost over.

"Ah… That feels much better, the power is coursing through me like… Like…" Kronos stopped as he looked down, a line going through his body from the top of his head to the end of his groin.

"I am Perseus Jackson, Son of Poseidon, and we will never kneel before you…" Percy said as he held Caliburn, tears sweat and blood falling from his body as Kronos's two separated parts fell with a loud thud.

Kronos, The Titan of Time, had been slain…
