Chapter 2: Chapter 2

As I sat lost in thought, considering the weight of the name "Death" that had been bestowed upon me, an owl suddenly appeared and perched itself on a nearby table. To my surprise, it extended its leg, offering me a Hogwarts letter. I eagerly took the letter and examined it carefully, my heart racing with excitement. Finally, the time had come for me to return to the wizarding world and the place Harry called home - Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. As I read through the letter, a wave of emotion overtook me - not just excitement for the new school year, but a deep love for the Hogwarts castle itself.

Regaining my bearings, I quickly called the knight bus with a simple lumos taking a polyjuice potion from the shrunken trunks before saying "Knockturn alley entrance". The first step was complete - my name was changed so I have no relation to either timeline. Now, to complete the second step, I needed to change my appearance. To do so, I would have to undergo a ritual in Knockturn Alley. As I cautiously made my way down the twisting, narrow streets of Knockturn Alley, the darkness seemed to seep into my bones. Although Harry had come here multiple times his reaction was the same as mine. The flickering lights of the shops cast eerie shadows across the cobblestones, and the air was thick with the scent of incense and other, less savory smells. Everywhere I looked, I saw unsavory characters lurking in the shadows, their eyes gleaming with suspicion and greed. Some wore dark robes and hooded cloaks, while others sported tattoos and scars that marked them as members of the criminal underworld. it was like this you could see the difference between Vampire, Werewolf, and other magical creatures and Voldemort men.

I knew that I had to keep a low profile and avoid drawing unwanted attention, so I walked briskly and kept my head down. Finally, I arrived at the entrance to the shop where people could undergo a ritual safely. The proprietor was a grizzled old man with a crooked nose and a sharp, suspicious gaze.

"What are you here for, lad?" he asked, eyeing me up and down.

"Ritual number 13," I replied, handing him a bag of coins. "And I need the best room you have available."

The old man grunted in acknowledgment and led me to a back room. As I stepped inside, I was struck by the unusual design of the space. The floor was made of pure white marble, but it had been laid in a unique pattern, with seven intersecting circles that seemed to radiate outward like spokes on a wheel.

I could sense the power pulsing through the marble, and I knew that it had been reinforced with magic to withstand tremendous force and heat. This made it the perfect surface for conducting the kind of ritual I was about to undertake, as collecting the magic could be difficult and required a great deal of magic.

Harry had researched extensively all the rituals he could undergo to obtain an edge against Voldemort, and it had led him to discover the existence of certain shops where people like could undergo powerful transformative rituals. A ritual is a magical ceremony that involves the use of specific ingredients, spells, and/or incantations to achieve a particular outcome. These outcomes can range from physical transformations to mental and emotional changes. They vary in complexity and power, and they are classified into different grades based on their level of difficulty and the amount of magical energy required to perform them. Some rituals are simple and can be performed with just a few ingredients, while others are more complicated and require extensive preparation, rare ingredients, and powerful spells. The success of a ritual depends on the skill and knowledge of the wizard or witch performing it, as well as the quality of the ingredients and the level of magical power involved. If a ritual is performed correctly, it can produce powerful and lasting effects. However, if a mistake is made or if the ritual is not performed correctly, it can have unintended and dangerous consequences. There are three types of ritual, dark white, and grey. The white ritual depends uniquely on the ingredient, the dark generally of an animal killed and the grey encompasses all the rest, for information Tantrix ritual fall into the grey category as the person can be a male or a woman willing or not. It was by a ritual in grade four that Harry cured his eyes and the damage to his core. This shop in particular was built on a leyline letting magical energy be supplied in high quantities making it the perfect location for a ritual leading to its popularity in this period where the blood superiority was popular.

This particular ritual involved only ingredients, magic, and my body, it was a grade 2 ritual to change the appearance of a person. Even if people try to use your hair to make a Polyjucice potion they would obtain this appearance making it foolproof. I drew the necessary runes and symbols on the floor and made sure that everything was ready. With everything in place, I began the ritual, drawing on my power and the power of the ingredients to amplify my magical abilities. It was intense, and I could feel the magic surging through me like a wild river.

Finally, the ordeal had ended, and I could no longer bear the agony that coursed through my body. I collapsed onto the cold, hard marble floor, my muscles trembling with exhaustion and pain. I struggled to catch my breath, knowing that I couldn't stay in Knockturn Alley for much longer. I quickly got up despite the pain my body was in and made my way out of the shop, pulling the hood of my cloak over my head to conceal my new appearance.

I walked through the dark and narrow streets when I finally arrived at the Leaky Cauldron, a shabby-looking pub that served as a gateway between the wizarding and Muggle worlds but also as an inn for travelers.

I rented a small room to Tom and once in my room collapsed onto the bed, my mind racing with thoughts of what to do next. I knew that I couldn't go to Hogwarts, as the term didn't start yet. I needed to find a way to process to the step three of the plan, gaining allies.

The next day, since I had recovered from the pain, I decided to take a closer look at the state of my body. I went to the bathroom and examined myself in the mirror. I couldn't help but notice the transformation that had taken place. My once thin and short frame had given way to a taller and more slender physique, where my muscles were now more defined. Yet, what truly stood out were my features. The stark white hair that flowed down my forehead perfectly framed my piercing, bright almond-shaped green eyes. The effect was striking, and I now exuded an air of intimidation and unnerving presence, much like Tom Riddle. But, at the same time, the charm and charisma of a professional Quidditch player. Despite all these changes, the one thing that remained constant was the lightning bolt scar on my forehead. It served as a constant reminder of the night when Voldemort had attempted to kill Harry with the Killing Curse as an infant.

After greeting Tom, I asked him to prepare a light breakfast for me. Once I had eaten, I headed to the hospital to establish my new identity as Hadrian Peverell. I chose a hospital near Godric's Hollow and created a file for a child who was orphaned on September 1st due to a gas leak explosion. This fabricated history was intended to cover up the attack on the Potter family. While making a muggle paper trail for my new identity I also went to great lengths to conceal and erase any information leading to the old couple who adopted "Hadrian". They coincidently died a week before I received my letter after having sent the paperwork to hold a dual nationality for UK and USA leaving me the possibility to escape the muggle way if Voldemort is too strong and I was incapable of killing him and his follower. With my new identity having been successfully established I went to sleep after a tiring day.
