Chapter 115: Thunderstorm
The Minks of the Glutt family were too busy with trying to deal with Pixel that they had no time to stop and pay attention to the changes in the weather.
They did not know what kind of tricks Pixel had played from the beginning of the battle so they were unable to notice that they had all walked into the middle of the thunderstorm that had been built up.
It was true that Pixel had used many Electro moves so she had expended a lot of her own energy very quickly but that was still not enough to tire her out so soon.
Nobody knew but herself how much Electro she could make use of before she tired herself out.
The large amount of Electro that had cloaked her body to increase her speed had caused most of the draining of Electro that was used but that was not the main cause of her becoming tired.
The increased output came from her releasing a large amount of sparks of Electro in many directions as she moved.
The many sparks that were released in many directions had worked to cover up the sparks that had been aimed upwards into the sky.
Upon taking a look at the sky, Pixel had seen that there were some clouds gathered at a certain part of the island not too far away so she had chosen to make use of them.
Her Electro was sent up into the clouds which had continued to create the right conditions for a thunderstorm which had become more deadly the more Electro that had built up.
Everything had been done to create the thunderstorm and so that everyone could be lured into that position where they would be hit by it.
The rays of lightning came down quickly and started to hit anything that was within that area.
There was no distinguishing between friend or foe so anyone within it had been struck by at least one bolt of lightning.
The clouds continued to rumble and the flashes of lightning had continued to fall from the sky as they hit anything beneath it.
"Ugh.."
"Aah."
"Gyaa!"
The Minks and anyone nearby was caught up in it without having a means to escape but there was someone inside of it all that had remained unharmed.
Even if the Minks could move very quickly, there were many that were unable to move fast enough to evade the lightning strikes that came for them so quickly.
The lightning hit the body of Pixel several times but all it had done was help to replenish some of the energy she had used up.
Upon being slightly replenished of her energy, more Electro surged around her claw as it had started to produce more energy and heat.
Her hand started to be covered in a layer of black Armament Haki as the heat had started to reach a greater amount then she had ran forward with her eyes closed.
The lightning that was all around her had obstructed her vision too much and it was likely doing the same for everyone else but it would not last too long.
Her Observation Haki had been put to use to sense the movements around her and she had sensed a strong presence nearby which had been moving around erratically and quickly.
They were still evading the lightning strikes and were trying to avoid being harmed any further.
They were within her range and she had sensed them before they had noticed her presence so they did not see her approach until it was much too late.
They noticed a figure that was difficult to distinguish so they had waved out their arm towards it in case it was an enemy but the resistance was not enough and it was not done soon enough.
A large amount of pain spread out in their stomach area as they felt their insides burning up. "Ugh.. wha..this.."
It caused them to cough up a mouthful of blood and the hand that had pierced their stomach had slid out smoothly before the figure had disappeared.
The Glutt family head had dropped to his knees and clutched his stomach wound before he was hit by a bolt of lightning from above.
Several other screams had followed up as several others were stabbed or scratched by Pixel within the thunderstorm until she had felt that it was time to leave. 'This should be more than enough time.'
Her figure disappeared from where she had stood and started to run as fast as she could along then rooftops towards the docks.
As she was jumping from rooftop to rooftop, her senses were still spread out towards her surroundings and her guard had remained up.
Several gunshots came from below but she was able to adjust her movements to narrowly avoid them in time before continuing forward.
Upon getting closer to the docks, Pixel had the same reaction as the others as she had seen the state of the ships that she and the family had arrived on the island on. 'So they had prepared to cut us off like this..'
She had known that there were bombs that had went off to target those related to her family but she had not known about the ships that had been targeted too.
If they were unable to use the ship then it would be very troublesome for each of them to get off the island so she had started to worry about how the others had handled the problem.
Her senses spread out until she was able to pick up on the presence of those she was more familiar with, the body of Pixel moved towards that presence and saw a fight that was ongoing and there were several of familiar faces among those that were fighting.
