I still love this novel to death despite me not understanding any of this medical knowledge. I'm fully convinced that a doctor or someone in the medical field wrote this novel. Thanks for the updates!
Quite boring after chapter 70s, it just goes on and on and on. The system is also really not that good. It's more of a Status screen that show what he knows, nothing else.
Refreshing take on lovecraftian horror, but the nature of having a system and plot armor may have lost sight of what lovecraftian horror means.
A very good story. My only complaint would be the repetition of the stories. A new, random character is introduced, they contract the first illness, and die or otherwise suffer horribly. Then, MC goes on a perilous quest into the unknown to save the patents, finds out he's secretly more impressive than he thought, has an epic final showdown that ends with him nearly dead, before recovering completely. Repeat. It wasn't too bad the first couple times, but the format is so identical I got bored. Other then feeling like I'm looping around the same story, it's very interesting
The first 100 chapters or so are fun but I'm slowly noticing a trend of weird cultist like elements in this and MC goes from being a doctor to mystery cult leader so I'm not sure if the quality is going to drop. I do like the MC's characterization so far and the medical terms are accurate enough so I'm rating it 3 stars for now. If the quality drops I might change my rating. (I just hope the quality won't drop like it did for many other CN's)

I hope it’s just my paranoid brain and creative mind working so ridiculous right now. After watching the ep-1 of house of secrets cause it’s trending, I was a little surprised of how the things are little bit similar in some little section on the book. As I read some spoilers on the comment section-I waa intrigued even more, the dark stuffs and ritual. especially that the some police man mention banyan tree in the intro-late. I’m curios if the this book was inspired by that news or its just all a coincidence. you know the world is vast and all. It’s not impossible to be just a coincidence cause as I said it’s just a small section of the book. Not at all important or maybe I forgot some major stuffs cause I stopped reading this books since june. Now Back to the book. I really like how quick witted our Mc is and Now after HoS, I’m going to continue reading the middle chapters that I’ve stopped reading since june, also the main reason I stopped was because I’m half scared. Don’t hesitate to read this book just because the system lacks some things- it’s a fresh story for me that already binge read some OP system novels which I eventually get tired of, and I like seeking medical education through novels,and this one is very realistic and kinda helpful.[img=update]

Interesting world building and story. For me personaly the mc with his goody two shoes attribute killed the whole novel tho, especially in a world that is full of madness is such a cliche mc really boring, alot of missed here. sadge
I gotta say this novel is one of the better ones out here, i've read till chapter 234 and from chapter 1 till 200 it's quality was great and the world background is amazing but it changed after chapter 200, The mc did some idiotic choices that I personally dont like and after chapter 220 reading this feels like a chore, I dont want to continue reading jt but I was curious to know what was gonna happen in the next chapter. I then read till chapter 234 and dropped this novel. This novel have somethings that in my opinion is bad like the choices the MC made. Also side characters dont really show much development, one of the side characters personality was completely flipped from what it was before. All and all a good novel to read but in my opinion you should give this novel a try and see if it suits your taste after 60 chapters and if it doesn't just drop this novel or continue if you want to.
Not to dwelve into the story or it content. But came to read 250 chapter in a day. So it can be quite consuming and captivating. Allround an quite above average read.
At the start the mc was a med student, but after starting to deal with the supernatural he started to drift further and further from being a doctor. It's a great mystery and sometimes horror novel with a bunch of medical terms, some things medical people do. But mostly it's about the mc running around and facing different challenges whether they be related to his past, his inner darkness, or some other supernatural things. While most challenges/adventures start with some disease but within the 240 chapters I've read at most the total "doctoring" part adds up to 40-50 chapters, and most of the diseases get cured by the mc destroying something, not really "curing" them in a conventional way. In short it's a pretty good mystery novel, with a bunch of medical terms and procedures but don't expect much doctor work to be done.
i like everything except wu siyu. it goes against the novel. a lazy, pig like person. using talent to be like that. personally feel like she doesnt deserve it

Well not much to say other than it a pretty good novel... What? You expect something more? Well it set in hp lovecraft universe so if you into that give it a try you might like it and if you into medical stuff give it a try too as this novel have them and don't worry the author did his/her research. Also the system is nothing more but a thresh holder and it not the op kind of system too and after chapter 334 it become irrelevant (even though it kinda become irrelevant at chapter 100+ or so. So try your best to see what I mean by that when you reach chapter 334)

The first 100 chapters I have say are amazing and set the stage for what could be an amazing novel..... it's a shame that everything that comes after that fails to live up to it's potential. At the very least I don't regret reading it as the first 100 odd chapters by itself gave me plenty of enjoyment, so I do reccomend you give it a read

I haven't read it yet as I'm collecting chapters to binge watch later. Is it already finish? But I came to this novel as a suggestion from My House of Horror, so I had an expectation for this novel.
Great plot and story. The Gu Jun is one of the more interesting mc's out there. The system is not op and only hand out missions and rewards occasionally, and he has to figure out how to get the bodied for the nightmare mission himself.
I like how the system specialises in the medical field, the thriller is also good and I love the setting in which there's an imminent apocalypse but the world is still unaware of it.
The plot of the story and plot twist(s) of it hooks the reader into teading more!! I cant explain it in words but it is such a great piece of work!!
This is so good, this might be the very best novel I've ever read. Read this right now .....................................................
