Chapter 41: Would you like a name?
As they rode together, the Ovcharka was like a sponge, asking, learning, ever-questioning Vladimir about anything they passed or that entered the its mind..
They began to develop their mind link, and at will they could summon it and begin communicating to each other. No doubt it would prove to be of immense value to each of them in the future!
Vladimir had been meaning to ask the Ovcharka.. a particular question on his mind. But had for some reason left it until now..
"My friend." He said to the Mountain Dog... "Would you like a name?" As he looked across at the Ovcharka.
"Yes, a name, - I really want a name!" expressed the Ovcharka eagerly.
What name then.. do you want, questioned Vladimir?
"My name will be... it thought.. my name will be.. Luchshiy Drug" replied the Ovcharka.
("Luchshiy Drug", means Best Friend in Russian.)
Hahahaha - laughed Vladimir..
"I can't call you Luchshiy Drug! Best friend - hahaha! Thats not a name... That's a type of relationship."
"A relationship? Questioned the Ovcharka."
"Yeah, like me and you are best friends, our relationship." said Vladimir.
"Whilst, a name is something like.. Vladimir, Arkady, Recoil, or Zoya..."
"Its your identity. When people are looking for you, they will call your name out loud."
"Like.., Vladimir!!" He said in his mind to the dog.
"Here.., let me help you - these are some male names!"
"Alexei, Boris, Vadim, Mikhail, Nikita, Filip, Pyotr, Sergei, Stanislav, Rurik, .." Vladimir listed out names that came to his mind.
"Stop!!" the Mountain dog shouted in Vladimir's mind...
"Huh.." said Vladimir..
"Rurik!! I choose Rurik!"
"Rurik,,...hmmn a nice powerful name for the King of Mountain Dogs..said" Vladimir..
Ok.. from now on you are "Rurik"..
The Mountain Dog began jumping around excitedly.. and it began to startle the Rider's horses..
"Calm down Rurik!!" - Vladimir shouted.
But hearing his name again, the Ovcharka grew even more excited..
