Chapter 238: A Choice To Make

[Adrian's POV]

It's been an hour since he asked Isabel to leave the apartment. But the pool of heat blazing inside his body like a raging volcano kept producing rivulets of sweat on his forehead, painting agitation at his flushed face. Not even a cold shower helped to ease what he was feeling.

Adrian ignored the slight lightheadedness that swayed his balance and paced on the living room with both hands to his hips. Occasionally, he would sit down on the couch and sift his fingers through his damp hair to scratch his scalp in frustration. Then he would stand back again to walk back and forth in front of the blank television and the closed door.
