Chapter 1: Chapter 1

"Get up, why are you still sleeping?"

The voice that spoke wasn't too loud and even sounded a bit distant, but Wilson woke up in a flash.

"Hmm?" He rubbed his head and struggled to hold his swollen eyes open as he looked around in confusion.

The windows of the old house were wide open and faded windmills whirled slowly outside, their yellowed edges curling slightly. One or two potted cacti were planted on the worn windowsill, looking shrivelled and shrivelled as the needles grew overgrown from long-term water loss. The light in the house is very dark, except for a beam of warm light shining from the window sill, a little dust floating quietly. The furnishings in the house were dated, like old antiques left over from decades ago. There were also some low combination cabinets piled up on one side with some small boxes inside.

"From eight o'clock last night until eight o'clock now, you slept for twelve whole hours." There was a tone of worry in the tone of the man standing by the door, though he acted all concerned.

  "..." always felt wrong.

This room wasn't one he was familiar with, and although he couldn't remember for a moment where he was supposed to be, Wilson felt an aura that was out of place. Although the old house was clean and tidy, it smelled of poverty everywhere, even the bed underneath him would shake slightly with his movements.

"What the hell is going on?" Unconsciously, he asked but found his voice excessively hoarse.

"What's going on?" The person who had spoken earlier stepped to the end of the bed, sighed, and said, "Slept through the night and you've forgotten everything? Zoe, he ..."

"Zoe?" said Wilson, scratching his head. No, something was very wrong.

"..." the man wanted to say, looked at him for a long time, then said, "Take fewer painkillers in the future, the side effects are huge and they are half empty." He said, dropping a large white bottle at his feet.

Wilson grabbed the large bottle and it said Painkillers. He slowed down and asked, "What's the date today?"

  "The 5th of the month."

"... "So it's only the 5th, he thought ...Something that slowly came to mind, Wilson unconsciously squeezed the covers tightly around him and said to the person who had been so concerned about him: "You first go out under, I want to change clothes."

The man didn't expect him to come out with such a sentence and opened his mouth in surprise, but in the end, he said nothing and thoughtfully pulled the door closed as he went out.

Wilson immediately jumped up and looked around for a long time without finding anything useful. Disappointed, he jumped into bed and looked out the window. Downstairs was a small courtyard. Here, it was just a neighbourhood.

At first, he had forgotten all about it, but when the man told him what day it was, Wilson remembered it all. The lover who had been with him for more than ten years had collaborated with others to destroy his hard-earned business and gave him a fatal stab, this kind of thing, how could he forget it? There is also Roy, that bitch who usually pretends to have a harmless appearance, who knows he is a wolf in sheep's clothing, and dares to count him!

Thinking of this, Wilson was so angry that he almost didn't smash the table. What was the situation now? Could it be that Roy had sent him here? And what about that person outside? There was always a feeling that something wasn't right.

Wilson retreated to his bed and stared at the whitened sheets.

Suddenly, he noticed what looked like a red object under the sheet in the corner of the bed. Wilson reached for it and grabbed it. It was an old hanging mirror with a red background.

Wilson deflated, was about to throw it away, but then ghostly held it up in front of him. The person in the mirror wasn't himself at all!

Childish face, slightly downturned corners of the mouth, exposed teeth where you can still see a mug of braces. To say that there is any similarity with himself, that is, the two are not good-looking, can no longer be found out of the kind in the crowd. How is it possible? He became another person. This is ... heavenly.

Wilson pulled back his tunic and realized that the incision on his abdomen was also gone, where blood had been bubbling before, torturing him to death. Wilson touched the right side of his abdomen, and the flat skin reminded him that none of this was a dream. So what the hell was going on? Wilson popped over to his wardrobe and found a few items of clothing, changing himself out of his pyjamas and scratching his hair as he headed out the door. He needed to get everything straightened out.

The man had been guarding the door the whole time.
