Chapter 13: Slave Auction II
"So, without further ado, let's officially start the auction!" The auctioneer said, and the bidders in the lower area roared in unison. When Oli heard this, his attention shifted from Wyatt to the auctioneer.
"The Ossory Slave Trading Group prepared some luxurious goods for you guys! Some of them are fresh from the newly conquered territory of both Holy Land and Confederation from their adversary Kingdom, the Fallen and Zutus Kingdom! And I know some of you guys receive some information regarding the main event for tonight's auction and let me confirm it to you guys. Yes, it is a female dwarf slave from no other than the Silvrout Kingdom--the Dwarven Kingdom on the Continent! I hope you guys enjoy tonight's auction." The auctioneer said.
When the bidders on the lower floor heard it, they roared even louder. As for the bidders on the second floor, where located the balcony, they just clapped and contained a satisfied expression on their faces.
The balcony has a curtain barrier with a small space in the middle just enough to see the slave currently being auctioned for those who are inside the balcony can see. If someone is sitting on the balcony , it's either same on status or higher and has the power and gut to confront the one who won the bids. The Sapin Kingdom was neutral. So the confrontation will be outside the Lapin Kingdom.
Even if Oli didn't want to listen, he got no other choice but to do so. According to Wyatt, slave trading is vital in each Kingdom, and the Empire's economy as one-fourth of the wealth of the Kingdom or Empire comes from slave trading.
So, as an acting Chairman, Oli needs to learn about slave trading even if he despises and extremely opposed it. As Oli thinks that the knowledge he might get here will be usable in the future.
And as the auctioneer mentioned, the dwarf is the main event of the auction, so that dwarf will be the last to be auctioned. So, for the time being, Oli decided to observe and try to learn how the auction operates as Oli had no knowledge and had no experience in an auction.
"For the entry number one, a fallen soldier from the newly conquered territory of the Confederation. This man fought the Confederated Military Force and survived, so he is a veteran in fighting and battles. I'm sure he can win a lot in battle in Arena. The starting bid is twenty platinum coins! The bidding starts now!" The auctioneer said.
Then the bidding war starts.
"Twenty-five!"
"Thirty!!"
"Thirty-five!!"
Oli saw a muscular brown-skinned man dressed in tattered clothes in the center stage. He has two-three meters horned, but one of the horns is in half. He has cuffed both hands, and his feet had a metal collar placed on his neck. His face is rugged. Anyone could see that he didn't get enough sleep. Both of arms and feet had a scar and wound.
"What the--is that a demon?!" The terrace where Oli, Wyatt, and Zion are situated is not too far from the stage. So Oli can see the appearance of the man. This is the first time Oli sees such a living being. A demon, but unlike how the people of Earth describe demons--vicious, ugly, have a longhorn and red or black skin and wings, this demon on the stage is clearly like a human. The man has a skin color like the people in Southeast Asia. The only difference is that he has a black horn on his head, and his stature is a bit larger than an average human.
"Is this your first time saw a fallen? Yes, that man is a distant kindred of the demons in the Demon Continent. The entire auction will be focused, in both fallen and beast kin." Wyatt said.
'Is this his first time seeing a fallen? So, he's really from the Dark Continent? But how the hell do they get in here without being detected of Amphibious Force of the Dark Elves? They also get passed through the patrol of the Wales Royal Navy?' Wyatt thought after he spoke.
"Going once, going twice, sold to number seventy for one hundred platinum coins! Congratulations!" The auctioneer announced, then he hit his wooden hammer at the block placed on the podium. Then the bidders clapped after.
"That much?!" Oli exclaimed in disbelief. One hundred platinum coins are not a small amount of money here. Although Oli didn't yet experience how to employ the coins here, based on how Elder Alfred explained to him, the platinum coins are the highest monetary being used here in Chronos, and Oli spoke in a low tone that enough for only him to hear. "This is unbelievable." Oli couldn't believe that there's a cost even in human lives. Yes, Oli considers the fallen a human because of the features approvingly like normal humans.
"Yes, that much. One hundred platinum coins are still a small amount by buying a slave. The most expensive slave is a stunningly gorgeous woman or has the blood of the Royal or Imperial family and, of course, a General of the military. Just like that." Wyatt said, then he pointed at the stage. Oli focused again on the staging, only to see a chained skinned-white busty woman with a wolf ear and tail.
Like the fallen soldier, the wolfkin woman was wearing clothes, just enough to cover the private parts of her body, and because of that, her bust and curves are free for anyone to see.
Just like the fallen man earlier, the wolfkin woman on the stage also had the same features as an ordinary human. The only difference is that her ears are placed on the top of her head and have furs on them like a typical wolf ear.
She has also had a short tail also covered in fur. Her body is like an average human woman's. It's the same appearance and description of beast kin on the anime, novel, manga, and manhwa, Oli read and watched.
"The second entry is from the Zutus Kingdom, a women wolfkin from the wolf tribe! She was abducted from her village when the raiders spotted her. What can I say? I presume I don't have to say anything regarding her aside, she is a three hundred years old mature woman, and I'm sure she can perform and serve exceptionally well on the bed." The auctioneer said while having an obscene smile on his face.
Even if Oli couldn't see, he is sure that all the men at the auction house had a lustful eye while looking at the woman on the stage. They are also yelling as if they are some heated animals. Oli thought it is only natural for any man to act such a way, as the wolfkin woman has a beautiful face and sensual body enough to seduce any man in existence.
Oli doesn't know, but there was something inside him burning and trying to come out, but Oli ignored it.
"For entry number two, a fully grown beast kin woman from the wolfkin tribe that can serve you at night, the starting bid thirty platinum coins! You may start now." The auctioneer.
"Forty!"
"Forty-five!"
"Sixty!"
The wolfkin woman can't do anything but cover her face and cry while the men battled for themselves to get her. The bid is getting higher and higher. Oli can't do anything but watch the situation.
"You don't know how popular the slave trading is. Nobles, high-nobles, even the Kings or Emperors pour a lot of money to get the slaves they want." Wyatt said.
"One hundred fifty on the man seating on the first balcony." When the auctioneer said this, the entire lower floor became dead silent, and no one challenged the current bidder. Oli peeked at the other side of the auction house, where the balcony of the current bidder is situated.
"He's from the Credia Empire, a Duke." Wyatt said without looking at the other balcony. Oli also didn't ask how he knew that the man was from the Credia Empire.
"Going once, going twice, sold to the gentleman on the first balcony! Congratulations on winning the bid!" The auctioneer said then, he signaled the two men to take the wolfkin woman in the waiting area, but before they could grab the woman, she screeched and struggled.
"Noo! I don't want to! Please take me back to my family and my village! To my Kingdom!" The woman cried out but ignored, unfortunately.
"Shut up! You heretic creature! You don't have a right to reject or demand anything! Go to the waiting room and wait for your master and serve him very well!" The auctioneer rebuked her, pulled the chain attached to her, and harshly pulled her down the stage.
"Ouch, it hurts!" The wolfkin woman cried out, having no strength to resist and fight. She has a frightened look on her face.
"If you want to blame someone for what's happening to you right now, blame your progenitors for their existence here on the Continent." The auctioneer said loud enough for everyone to hear, but instead of pitying, everyone in the auction house laughed except the three, Oli, Wyatt, and Zion.
Having enough, Oli stands up to his seat, but Wyatt stops him.
"Where are you going?" Wyatt asked Oli.
"Where you ask, down there, I will talk to them!" Oli exclaimed and pointed to the stage that current continuing the auction.
Zion just sighed, and for the first time, till the auction began, he spoke at Oli. "Young master, please don't do that. If you do that, the usual scenario will be you will be kicked out here, but then you will be banned in the worst case, from entering and doing trade here in the Lapin Kingdom, which is very bad for our village, and also you cannot do anything regarding that matter. As Elder Alfred said to you, pretend that you don't see anything to avoid any troubles, specifically when nobles or high nobles are involved. And talking can't do anything."
Oli just looked at Zion with complicated glazed and said. "What will happen to them?"
And Wyatt is the one who answers Oli. "As for the male slave, it's either they will be sent to the army to fight till death, or sent to the gambling arena, or become a worker that will do all heavy and dirty work for their master. As for the female slave, the possible and likely to happened is they will become as a...

ddraigg I know that the progress is a bit slow or totally slow, and some of you guys may like it or not. I will say it in advance, thank you, and sorry for that. The reason is I don't want the MC to jump into something. For example, the MC will bring some technology way too advanced for the current timeline, or the MC will go wild, collect women or immediately conquer some Kingdoms or territory. I find the MC thoughtless if he does that instantly. I want my MC to build his resolve and decide on something before making his path and decisions. And also to discover his true self within the process.
Regarding the updates, I know I said it is on every Wednesday and Saturday, but unfortunately, my class schedule turned into a mess, and I find it hard to balance my writing and studies. Everything is okay now, so expect frequent updates.
