Prince Alan and his younger brother Prince Oliver were captured and experimented on. They were trail and tested on the same poison that caused Daniel Yi to become a demon. Daniel’s wife Susie Zhang was determined to find a cure for her husband. So, she did everything she could to find a cure for his illnesses. She did all her testing on the emperor's two sons for many months.

During the long periods of experimenting, Prince Oliver died due to the overload of drugs and poisons. Prince Alan suffered for another two years of being poisoned to death.
