Chapter 3: Growth Over Time-Skip
As soon as John said that, the scenery around him suddenly changes. It goes from the house to a space where there is no other terrain to be seen except plains. When John entered the space he looked around. To the left covering about 100m² is what seemed to be a garden with many different crops in it.
John walked over to the garden and used appraisal on them.

That is all of the berries that John has collected over the 6 years. He was able to find mainly Oran and Leppa berries due to their use in the city he is in.
'If only I could collect more berries by going outside the city.' thought John.
"What a stupid idea! I'd get killed in 5 seconds out there without any protection." John said out loud to reprimand his previous idea.
This worlds humans have been hunkered into cities in this world due to the legendary Pokémon's attacks. Every city had limited space and resources for all of the children willing to become trainers in this day and age due to the technological advancements.
Due to the legendaries attacks killing almost all of the worlds strongest trainers, they had to resort to more means to defeat them such as technology. Most of this worlds resources have been put into developing new technology to keep every city staying strong.
'In my opinion, in front of the legendary Pokémon's assaults, technology will be of no use. There are legendary Pokémon such as Zapados and Raikou that no matter how much lightning resistance it has, it will not be able to defend itself from them.' Thought John.
At the age of 10, all children are required to go through a test. during the test, 40 children will be picked and then trained to become Pokémon trainers. There are still things such as the Pokémon league in this world. Due to that there are restrictions put in place such as, each new trainer has to pick a starter Pokémon provided by the city.
This drastically reduced the death rates of new Pokémon trainers when they just used to go and catch their own Pokémon. Though this also came with a problem. With the resources that certain cities had, they couldn't had out that many Pokémon with decent potential and also couldn't keep up with the breeding costs.
So a law was put in place that the new trainers were able to go out into the wild with a minimum of bronze stage Pokémon trainer, and catch their own Pokémon. Of course the pokeballs we provided by the city.
As John finished looking around his space, he decided that he had spent enough time in it. When he got out, the sky had turned dark due to going into his space just before sunset.
"*sigh* that was a relaxing time as always. Time to see what mum and dad are up too." John said as he yawned while stretching his arm up.
As soon as he got back to his house he knocked on the door and took his shoes off. Then the door opened.
"Ah finally your back. You took your sweet time mister, you had started to get us worried." said Heather.
"Sorry mum, I was caught up. Where's dad."
"He's at the table waiting for dinner."
