Chapter 421: King Rank!!!
Axel moved his head closer to listen to the explanation.
"I said before that you need to have a good foundation for psychic abilities. That was why we trained your body stats and we also trained on your aura techniques.
Now, you have reached a stage where your body is barely able to hold a hint of psychic wave."
"If such is the case, then why can't any other Pokemons have 2 cores after it reaches a higher rank like king rank?"
"You already said that aura and psychic are the same thing but psychic is a specific concept and aura is a general concept. There is just a difference in vibration and frequency between them.
Since they are very similar, it is easier for us humans to have both of them than Pokemon cause Pokemon cores of different types are not similar like aura and psychic."
Axel nodded his head in understanding. He was learning a lot from Red. He could not imagine what would have happened to him if Red was not here to train him and his Pokemons.
"Now, you have gotten the theory down, it is now time to tell you how to store psychic energy inside your body.
The ratio of psychic energy and aura energy should be 30:70 inside your body. So, the psychic energy should be 30% and the aura energy should be 70%. It could be 20:80 or 10:90 but 30% of psychic energy should never exceed unless you are a special person who has more potential for psychic energy.
Such a special person would unlock psychic energy first then aura energy. You are not that special person so you don't need to worry about it."
Red had a habit of bringing Axel's attitude down. It was good cause Axel had achieved so much in such a short amount of time. He needed someone to make him feel down to earth.
"I already told you that we are surrounded by aura but not by psychic energy. There are some places where psychic energy is abundant but you are still weak to go there and your body would crumble if you go there.
So, how do we do it?
It is very simple actually. We now know that psychic is also another form of aura. So, we manipulate and break down aura energy in such a way that only psychic energy is left and we store that inside our body.
Remember, with your current body stats, you can only hold 10% of psychic energy inside you. Any further, and you would just burst into pieces. Now let me show you how to do it."
Red sat in a meditative position and he started to instruct Axel on how to do it. Red explained in detail without missing anything. Axel realized that it incredibly hard to do it. His aura techniques had leveled up quite nicely but manipulating aura in such a way was way out of his league for now.
Axel didn't give up hope and started to do it.

It was now evening and Axel had not been able to do it. That was given cause it was a hard process.

"Hello."
"Oh, hello Axel, Elizabeth here."
"Oh Hi, Elizabeth. You called me suddenly. Is everything okay?"
"Yes, everything is fine. Charizard had been telling me to tell you that you should come here. It says that it may be able to create a pre-domain soon."
"Oh, that is great news. I will be right there.", said Axel.
"So, your Charizard is going to rank up, huh….", said Red.
"Yes, I feel that it would now."
"That is great news. We still have 4 months before the league battle starts.", said Red.
"Yes, let's go there now."

The rate of vomiting had decreased but he was still vomiting his guts out.
"How do I even stop this?", asked Axel.
"You must have a good understanding in psychic energy. You are getting there. Don't worry. Now let's see your Charizard."

They first met Elizabeth and then Charizard. Charizard gave him a bear hug. His body was now stronger so now he didn't feel that he was being crushed.
"So, are you positive that you can create one?", asked Axel.

"Good job. Now let me see your progress.", said Axel.
Charizard closed its eyes and the temperature started to rise up. Slowly and steadily, a red aura came out of it and it surrounded 5 meters around it. Then another energy came from its body. The energy was weaker than fire energy but Axel could feel that it was very menacing.
He just could not describe it. He was feeling a hint of fear from that energy. The energy felt like it was one above all like it could crush anything and everything. This was dragon energy.
Charizard slowly started to combine both the energy and
BANGGG….
Both of the energy started to get haywire and they became out of control.
Axel could see that Charizard was now very close to combining both of the energies. That was good news. He felt that with his help, Charizard could do this in 2 days.

After 3 days,
"Don't give up Charizard. You can do it. Take a rest for 5 minutes and clear your head. And start again.", said Axel.
It had been 3 days and they had been getting closer and closer in creating this pre-domain. Yet, it was still not fully formed. This pre-domain might be the hardest pre-domain, Axel had to train any Pokemon. Cause it was combining 2 of them.
Charizard was resolute. It was not going to give up so easily. It knew that, what it was doing was very hard to accomplish. Axel had also said it himself but it was Charizard, the mighty Pokemon. It would not give up.
It was already tired from using this move for many hours.
Axel came near it and said, "You need to have a good rest first. You are thinking that you should do this by today and you are making mistakes. Let's do one thing.
Let's go out of here for some time and have a picnic."
Roarrr…
It didn't want to do it. It was so close and now Axel was saying it to take a break.
"Charizard, you told me that you would follow my instructions. Remember?"
Charizard finally agreed and Axel sat on its back. It started to fly and now after just a few minutes, they were out of the Charicific Valley.
"Charizard, see that forest up there, let's go there.", said Axel pointing out the bunch of trees.
They were at a very high altitude and Charizard was flying at full speed. Axel had used his 'Aura coat' to remain on its back.
They finally landed on the green grasses and Axel called out all of his Pokemons.

NIDO..

All of them announced their presence. All of the team went to greet Charizard. Nidoking was especially happy to see its best friend. Axel took out a mat and some of the food that he had packed for the day.
All of them now had food to eat and talk and play. It was a very wholesome moment for his Pokemons and himself.
While training Charizard in its pre-domain move, Axel realized that it was already capable of doing it. However, it was missing one thing or another every time it tried resulting in failure.
Charizard must have been bored out of its mind as it was always on Charicific Valley. The competition and seeing other Charizards above it had made it stressed. So, Axel felt that Charizard needed a small time off from all this.
He was confident that Charizard would be able to do it after they reached Charicific Valley after this short picnic.

The picnic lasted for the whole day and now they were flying towards Charicific Valley.
They reached the training ground. Red was still here waiting for them. He had a chat with Elizabeth and also let his Charizard battle with other Charizards. That was what he had been doing in his free time.
"Charizard, remember, calm your mind and heart, and think about every process for creating pre-domain. Do it slowly. We are not batting right now, so there is no rush.", said Axel.
Charizard then closed its eyes. The temperature started to get hot and a fiery aura came out of its body. After this step was done, another aura came from it. Both of them started to mix. This was the step that it always messed up.
"Calm yourself and do it slowly. Don't worry, you can do it.", said Axel.
Both of the energies started to mix together. The process was slow but Axel didn't care. After some time,

A sudden gust of wind came all over the place and it blasted Axel as he crashed to the ground. Red had not moved an inch.
RROOOAAAARRRRR!!!!!!
It was difficult to see Charizard inside the domain but Axel could feel that its power had drastically increased being inside the domain. The domain had increased the temperature to an unbelievable degree even outside of its perimeters.
An aura pressure from the domain made Axel kneel down. He used 'Aura resistance' to slowly stand up.
"Let's call it, 'Dragon King'", said Axel.

The move had been named, 'Dragon King'

Charizard has fulfilled all the requirements for King rank.
Ding!
Charizard is now ranking up. The host is advised to be ready.

'What did it mean when it said 'host is advised to be ready'', thought Axel.
A red and blue glow started to envelop Charizard. It had already cut off its domain.
Axel opened a box and took out a Charcoal. This was given by Elizabeth. It was formed in Charicific Valley and it was perfect for Charizard. Axel threw the charcoal towards Charizard and it caught it.
"Axel, concentrate on how Charizard ranks up. Elemental rank is a hurdle that is difficult to cross. King rank is another hurdle. So, watch closely and be ready to calm it down after it ranks up. Cause it would start to rile up.", said Red while watching the ranking up process.
The process of ranking up took 10 minutes. At some time, they would hear a loud roar from Charizard. The roar was not of pain but of bliss.
After 1o minutes,
RROOOOAARRRRRR
Charizard gave a loud roar and it had finally ranked up King rank.

Axel didn't bother to look at the notification. His eyes were now staring at Charizard's eyes.
"Charizard, are you feeling okay?", asked Axel.
RRROOARRRR
It looked at Axel with dominance and anger. It could see that a puny human was staring at it.
"Charizard, remember all the times that we had. Remember that you are a part of my team.", said Axel and he started to walk towards Charizard.
Suddenly, Charizard started to remember all the times it had with Axel. How Axe had trained it and how Axel had cared for it. Axel was weaker than Charizard, there was no doubt about it but he was the trainer that Charizard trusted.
A sign of clarity started to form towards Charizard. Axel had already come near it. The heat produced by Charizard by just being here was not something an ordinary human could withstand.
However, Axel was not an ordinary human. He was an aura user. He was using an aura coat while his hands were patting Charizard's shoulders.
"You have done a good job, Congratulations on ranking up to king rank.", said Axel.
ROOArrrrr….
After some time, Charizard finally calmed down and it mind was now clear.
"Charizard, control the heat around you.", said Axel.
It was trying to do it but it was unable to do it.
"What is happening?", asked Axel.
He had seen multiple king-rank Pokemons and none of them were giving off so much aura and heat like Charizard and it seemed like it could not control it.
"That is why I am here.", said Red with a smile.
"What do you mean?", asked Axel.
"When a Pokemon reaches king rank, it transmits aura and their core energy outwards subconsciously. It needs time to control its aura. Before that you should not let me near any other ordinary humans."
"How do I tell it to control it?", asked Axel.
"Oh, there is an easy process. You don't have to worry.", said Red and started to tell the process.
Charizard was to close its eyes and feel the power inside it. It was to slowly control it till none of it leaks out.
It started its next part of the training and within a few hours, it was able to completely hide the suppressing aura.
"You need to train your Charizard to such a level that others cannot tell that it is a King rank Pokemon. That can only happen when it can completely control its aura and even hide it.", said Red.
"I know it could be a strategic move and this could give enemy surprises but is there any other reason for it?", asked Axel.
"You have started to get my hints. Yes, there is another reason for it.
When a Pokemon reaches king rank, it is able to subconsciously send out powerful aura waves outside the surroundings. But it is also the time that the Pokemon is able to completely hide its aura.
Hiding aura completely has 2 benefits. First, the enemy could not tell that it was a king-rank Pokemon which gives Charizard the time to surprise the enemy.
Secondly, when I say hiding, I mean not leaking out the aura outside. By doing this, the Pokemon, in this case Charizard, would be to only use its power when it needs it.
That means, the power would not leak out and it could preserve it for a better situation. Even though you are standing, you are using your stamina and you are using quite an unnecessary amount of it.
The same is true for Pokemons and now it could store that unnecessary amount and use it when it needs. This would take some time."
