Chapter 5: First Birthday! (5)
"Say mama!"
"No say papa."
Both of my parents were pestering me as I was currently eating some baby food. They wanted me to say there "names" because of one of their friends saying this is around the age a baby talks.
I think her name was Johanna from what I've heard but I could be wrong. I wonder when I'll be able to meet other kids, probably when I hit four or five.
Today is my birthday and I'm currently holding onto my new Charmeleon plushie that was given to me this morning.
Staring at my parents face I start to giggle.
'They will like this.'
I say to myself.
"Mama! Papa!"
I shout out.
Giggle-
I wanted to brighten their day up a little, after all it's my birthday and they are the best.
So saying both their names should make them pretty happy as they were pestering me about it for a few weeks now.
They kept telling me at random times to say there name and it was getting annoying.
"He said both of our names!"
My dad Ren excitedly said while
"He said mine first!"
Mother said with stars in her eyes. Dad hearing her started to playfully argue that it was because she spent the most time with me.
But in the end they were both happy and gave me a lot of cuddles.
I spent the rest of the morning making my parents giddy with my constant baby attitude combined with saying their name.
'I think my parents are having a blast right now.'
I think to myself while my mother is cuddling with me with me on the couch.
Escaping my mothers embrace I see my dad entering the room with some food.
Mother putting me on the floor to help dad probably doesn't expect what I'll do next.
"Hey champ I just brought some food for us."
I hear my dad say while putting some snacks on the table.
'It's time for my hidden move.'
I have been practising my body coordination even more since crawling and wanted to surprise my parents, and what better time to do this than now.
Crawling towards the couch I put my hands on it trying to pull myself up.
"Honey! Honey! Look at Aichi, he's trying to do something."
Mother hearing my dads constant nagging looks over at my direction.
"Dear it might be what I think it is."
Mother pulling out a camera from seemingly nowhere started to look at me with a weirdly dark gaze and a wide grin.
"Ahh!"
I shout trying to balance myself on top of my two feet. Getting some control, I look over to my dad who was currently a few metres away.
"Papa!"
I say getting his attention.
Preparing myself I start to slowly make a few stubby baby steps towards my dads direction making him widen his eyes.
"Come on you got this Aichi!"
My dad's encouraging words hit my ears as I see him stretching his arms out. Keeping my momentum I take a few more steps trying to get to him.
'A little bit more.'
I was a couple of steps away from him but before I could make it, I suddenly slipped.
Dad quickly realising this lunges a small distance and grabs me before I could hit anything.
"Papa!"
I said in a shaky voice.
I was kind of scared to hit the floor there, it might seem like it's me being a pussy which it is but trust me falling down hurts like shit, I would know.
My body ain't made for landings.
"You did amazing."
Both of my parents cooed at me while overwhelming me with attention.
…
'This is pretty neat.'
I think to myself seeing my little play area.
Yeah I've gotten my own little fenced off area in my room i can use when I'm unsupervised. My a parents made it for me yesterday.
I'm usually never left unsupervised though and if I am it's only for a few minutes.
Right now I'm currently "playing" with my two plushies.
'This is so frustrating.'
I grumble to myself. Taking my Charmeleon I use him to smack the Clefairy plush.
I'm so bored!
And in this small scene of frustration I suddenly feel something waver in me.
A weird tingle.
Looking at the Clefairy plush I instinctively put my hand in front of me. A few seconds after, this weird translucent rings can be seen coming out of my palms and hitting the plush in succession.
The plush with with a pink hue over it start to wiggle a bit.
'Are these my psychic powers.'
I say to myself in disbelief. I thought I would unlock these much later but this isn't too bad.
I started to experiment with this a little bit and started to move the plush in many different angles.
'This is interesting, the way this power works is that when my rings hit an object it surrounds it with my power so I have full control over it.'
To move the object i just have to imagine it moving in my head. It is not as hard as I though it would be. I'm able to control where the plush goes quite effectively.
'This is very fun.'
I say to myself while making the Clefairy plush float a metre away from the floor.
It takes a little bit of concentration but I think because of me being a reincarnate it's actually easier for me.
Can't really tell though as I don't have anyone it base it off.
'Lets see how many I can control.'
Stretching my arm out I recreate that tingling sensation and suddenly send out a few translucent rings towards my my other plushies.
My rings impacting with their targets make all the plushies have a pink hue covering them.
'Hmm… I guess I can control only two at a time, very disappointing.'
I found out that I needed to be able to multitask to be able to control more items because I need to be able to concentrate on all of them individually.
I will work on this overtime and try to improve my powers to the best of my abilities.
'This makes my predicament a little better.'
I think begrudgingly.
Now I have a new thing to entertain myself with. I will try to train this power more but that would probably include using my power more.
'Fun!'
