Chapter 175: 175: Missing Ralts, Top 16

Pokemon Academy, Komoda City.

Later that night, a Pokeball rolled down from Hisoka's bed and popped open. In the next moment, Gardevoir appeared in the room quietly.

She stole a glance at the sleeping Hisoka before she went to look out the window. Just now, she heard the faint voice of someone crying.

Just before she could look for the source of the cry, the voice suddenly disappeared. Since she had no idea where the voice came from, she could only stand and wait.

While looking at the bright moon in the sky, she suddenly heard the same cry again.

"Mommy! Where are you? I want to go home!"

The voice sounded sad and scared as if the person was left alone.

'Telepathy?'

She thought with a frown.

Then, she quickly closed her eyes and reached out to the telepathic signals using her psychic power.

"Mommy! Where are you?"

In the dark woods, a small figure was seen hugging its knees, snivelling. It had short blue hair and two flat horns on top of its head. It turned out to be a Pokemon.

"Found you."

Gardevoir's figure instantly appeared in the woods, and her psychic power quickly locked onto the small Pokemon hidden in one of the trees. Even though they hadn't met yet, she couldn't help but feel very protective of it, and she didn't know why.

"Hello, what's your name."

She asked after walking closer to a big tree. In order not to scare the Pokemon, she could only use telepathy to talk to it first.

"Name?"

The small Pokemon stopped crying as she looked down. When it saw Gardevoir standing below with a gentle smile, it nearly stumbled as it jumped down from the tree.

In an instant, Gardevoir spread out her hand, caught it with her Psychic, and gently put it down on the ground.

As soon as it landed safely, it pulled up its long skirts and ran to Gardevoir, which she let it be after not sensing any dangerous thoughts from her.

"Mommy! I finally found you. I thought I would never see you again."

The small figure hugged her legs while shedding tears of joy.

"Mother?"

She was instantly struck dumb by that. When did she have a child?

Although they both looked the same, that didn't mean they were related. Yes, the Pokemon in question turned out to be a Ralts, a shiny one at that, and somehow it had mistaken her for its mother.

But why did a Ralts suddenly appear in the Kanto region for no reason?

Having been with Hisoka for so long, she knew that her species was a very rare kind of Pokemon. It was hard to see them even back in Hoenn, not to mention in the other regions.

At the same time, in a mansion in the suburb of Komoda City, Giselle, in her pyjamas, paced back and forth in her bedroom. She raised her hand and stared at the empty Pokeball in her hand.

The new Pokemon she received from her cousin, Cynthia, had gone missing. In her excitement, she didn't realize the Ralts' was afraid of her. Before she knew it, Ralts had already teleported away.

That was a shiny Ralts. It was much rarer than the semi-legendary Pokemon. Cynthia had wasted a lot of time finding it for her.

Right now, she didn't even dare to call Cynthia because she was ashamed to tell her. Suddenly, an idea popped up in her mind, and she rushed out of the room to look for her father so he could arrange for some people to look for the missing Ralts.

Hisoka woke up the next day feeling confused. Just when he was about to get up from his bed, he suddenly discovered there was a Ralts on his bed. It was a shiny Ralts, much to his surprise.

It slept on peacefully, snoring softly. Its mouth quirked into a faint smile as if it had a nice dream.

"Hisoka, you're awake."

Suddenly, Gardevoir came into view, carrying a basket filled with fresh berries. It seemed she had just come back after picking the fruits from the park.

He then turned to Jimmy and found that he was still sound asleep.

"Gardevoir, why is there a Ralts on my bed. What's going on?"

He asked Gardevoir while pointing at the sleeping Ralts.

Gardevoir put the basket on the table first before sitting next to the sleeping Ralts and told him how she found him crying last night.

He could hardly believe it when she finished her story.

"Why is there a Ralts in Kanto?"

He asked in a whisper, which Gardevoir returned with a shrug. She did not have a single clue as to how the Ralts got here.

After racking his brain for some time, he didn't find a good way to deal with this Ralts. So, in the end, he could only let Gardevoir take care of him for the time being, which she was happy to do.

An hour later, he and Jimmy left their room and headed toward the stadium where the next round of the tournament would take place. At this point, there were only thirty-two people left.

After drawing lots, he separated from Jimmy and entered the stage. His match started first today.

His opponent was a veteran trainer, surprisingly from Sinnoh. He chose a Magnezone, an evolution of Magnemite after being exposed to a special magnetic field.

A pretty powerful Pokemon if he had anything to say about it. Even so, his Rhyperior made short work of the opponent after shrugging off several Thunderbolt and Discharge like they were nothing.

After he smoothly made it to the next round, he went to see how Jimmy was doing. Just when he was about to reach the arena, he heard the crowd cheering as Jimmy's Thyplosion defeated his opponent's Arcanine. As the referee announced the result, he also joined the crowd.

Later that day, when he and Jimmy were heading to the canteen for lunch, someone suddenly blocked their path.

"You're Hisoka, right? Born in Viridian City and became the gym leader of Dark City last year."

A fairly tall, lean-built young man in slim-fitting clothes stood in front of them. His most distinguishing feature was his waist-length bright purple hair tied into a ponytail.

'Brad?'

Hisoka thought. It took him a while, but he recognized the man in front of them as Brad, one of the favourites to win the tournament.
