Nastina, "Achoo!"
Layla, "Are you alright?"
Nastina waved off the concern, "I'm fine! I'm fine. Just a sudden chill in my bones."
Daisy smiled, "It is getting chilly in here."
Contesta, "Just shows how powerful that Frosslass is."
Sukizo, "Very remarkable strength. But Gourgeist doesn't look affected by it."
Nurse Joy, "Oh yes! My cousins mentioned that particular pair of ghost had a rivalry going on between them."
Layla grinned, "Indeed, they have been battling for best Ghost type Pokemon Coordinator, for two seasons now. The GTPC rivalry I believe the internet calls it."
Contesta gave a laugh, "I believe it started from when they were still a Snorunt and Pumpkaboo."
Ash blinked listening to the commentary, "You know, I kinda noticed that in some of the videos."
Drew, "Yeah, it's hilarious."
Harley, "Sunny day!"
Regina, "Draining kiss!"
Harley smirked, "Dance!"
Gourgeist gave a playful laugh as they danced away from their opponents attack making Frosslass frown. She, after using draining kiss twice, attacked using ice fang which was retaliated by brutal swing.
Harley, "Leech seed dear Gourgeist. More than one."
Regina, "You won't get us with that again. Use ice beam to freeze them."
Gourgeist attacked using a lot of leech seed covering the battle field with vine plants that were ready to absorb energy. Frosslass used ice beam to freeze the plants before it could reach her and do damage to her.
Harley, "Now, solar beam."
Regina, "Use double team."
Harley, "Attack all of them."
Gourgeist gave a nod and turned just as the first beam went through a double going through all of the doubles. After the fourth one the real Frosslass was hit by the solar beam knocking her out.
Layla, "Harley wins the match and Frosslass is down and out."
Regina sighed, "Thank you Frosslass, next time we'll beat him."
Frosslass nodded weakly, "Lass."
Regina smiled, "Rest up girl. I'll beat you next time."
Harley waved at her, "Sure baby cuz."
Regina puffed up but didn't say anything else and left with a red face mumbling, "Not a baby."
Layla, "Now let's welcome our next pair of contestants."
Ash, "My turn."
Drew, "Good luck!"
Layla, "Let the battle begin."
Mavin, "Let's go Ferrothron."
Ash, "Blastoise time to show off."
Ferrothron appeared in a shower of pin missile that bounced off his body harmlessly making it look like sparkles. Blastoise on the other hand appeared in the middle of large bubbles, he used aqua tail to disperse the bubbles before taking out his leader glasses and putting them on. They both new how to flex their strength and abilities and show off for the audience who ate it all up and cheered.
Mavin, "Power whip."
Ash, "Rapid spin and pump."
Blastoise gave a nod and used rapid spin just as Ferrothron attacked using power whip only to hit thin air. Blastoise used hydro pump as he spun around the field avoiding the power whips Cpming his way. More than once Ferrothron used power whip to defend himself from the hydro pump attack which seemed to be stronger with the added speed of the rapid spin.
Mavin bit her lip, 'Well there's no doubt why and how he won the Pokemon conference. I am almost jealous. Almost!'
Mavin, "Use gravity to stop him from moving."
Ash frowned when Blastoise was held up, "That's actually impressive. But no matter, water pulse."
Mavin, "Thanks, now we got you, power whip."
Ash smiled, "Eat it and use scald."
Blastoise gave a big grin at that, he had been itching to use that particular set of moves for a while now. Blastoise opened his mouth and chomped down on the water pulse gulping it down his throat. Misty who was in the audience with her sisters gaped at that, she knew that energy ball could be used that way but water pulse? That was new and exciting.
Mavin cursed, "Ferrothron use solar beam."
Blastoise attacked first and scald almost reached Ferrothron but didn't ask he had attacked using solar beam. The already hot water evaporated after it was hit with solar beam but unfortunately for Ferrothron, the attack was stronger. Scald over powered solar beam and Ferrothron was hit with the boiling water which made him hiss in pain.
Mavin, "Ferrothron use pay back."
Ferrothron's eyes glowed before he lurched forward to attack Blastoise while Blastoise used rapid spin to dodge the attacks.
Ash, "Stay focused Blastoise."
Blastoise nodded, "Blast!"
Ash observed the attacks, "Now use ice beam."
Blastoise gave a grin and attacked using ice beam when he saw the opening and froze Ferrothron.
Layla, "Ah! Ferrothron has been frozen and unable to battle. Ash moves on to the next round."
Ash, "Good job buddy!"
Blastoise gave a grin before moving closer to Ash and picking him up, "Blast!"
Ash laughed, "Yeah, yeah! You are strong and handsome."
Mavin, "That was a good battle. I want to battle you again."
Ash, "Sure, shall we go bud?"
Blastoise nodded and walked off carrying Ash who spluttered, "I can walk!"
Layla chuckled at the antics, "Now that was a very impressive battling performance. Shall we move on to the next one?"
Misty, "I'm using that move."
Lily, "Yeah, that's like awesome."
Violet, "Like a power boost."
Gou, "Got it in recording."
Chloe, "I bet the others are watching too."
Gou, "Yeah, they are not online so probably watching the live TV."
Lucario grinned, -That's our Meema and brother.-
Charizard rumbled, -As expected from my brother.-
Abra, "Abra ab."
Eevee, "Vui!"
Pikachu, "Pikapi pika pikachu."
Brock, "I can't believe Ash lucked out in the Pokemon baby department too."
Yellow who was dressed as Nurse Joy nodded watching the Pokemon group, "You can say that again. An albino and a shiny, if the breeders knew or realized it, they wouldn't have let the eggs out of their sight."
Brock, "No kidding. Albino is rarer than shiny too, guess Lady Luck is on our side this time."
Yellow, "Good thing we don't have to register them in the general department. Can you imagine the trouble that would come if people knew he had one of the only albino Abras out there."
Brock winced, "Yeah, I remember what happened last time. Neither Sabrina nor Caitlyn were pleased by what happened. I don't blame them either."
Sabrina and Caitlyn were in the middle of a student exchange when a particular incident occurred three years prior. The student's had received new Pokemon while some of the luckier students had received poke eggs from their Pokemon. Everything was going well till one of the eggs started to hatch and that started a chain of other eggs hatching. That was normal, the one thing that was not however was one Abra that belonged to a little girl. It was white with a black armor. The little girls was terrified the Abra was sick but after checking it was confirmed the little one was healthy. The trouble started after the kids started to leave the meeting camp.
Three years back the poachers were more shameless and they attacked the vehicle the students were on not realizing there was a Gym Leader among them. One of the poachers saw the albino and recognized it for what it was and started to go on a monologue of how lucky it was and how much the Abra would fetch them just like a previous Abra. Needless to say Sabrina was not amused on learning they had poached and sold them on the black market. She ruthlessly tore into the poachers mind and after ensuring the kids were alright went on a solo hunt. Not much was left of the poachers after she was done with them, however she entered a coma after her stint and got a earful from the other Psychic Gym Leaders.
Brock, "Sabrina earned her status and respect."
Yellow, "Rightfully so."
Drew, "That was awesome."
Harley, "Very impressive darling!"
Ash pat Blastoise's arm and the shell Pokemon put him down, "Thank you, we worked double time to make our moves flashy while at the same time powerful."
Harley hummed, "Wallace's training tips truly are very useful albeit difficult to get right."
Drew sighed, "Balance is hard."
Ash, "But worth it once you get the hang of it."
Drew, "Totally... Looks like I'm up next."
Harley, "Good luck darling~"
Layla, "Let's give it up for the last participants of this round everyone. Contestants choose your Pokemon."
Percy, "Take the stage Skarmory."
Drew, "Let's show them what we got Togekiss."
Ash, "Oh that's one lovely Togekiss."
Harley, "Heh, he saved the lovely beauty from a poacher actually."
Ash, "What? How bad was it?"
Harley, "Pretty bad, after evolving the scar on his front is gone but... That lovely girl doesn't trust anyone outside Drew and has a killer glare."
Ash nodded, "I think that's understandable. Were the poachers from Kanto?"
Harley, "Not sure. We were training close to the Kanto and Jhoto border when we ran into them."
Ash sighed, "I see... Do you think she would be against meeting my Togekiss?"
Harley, "Your Shiny? I don't see why not. They are both rescues, so they might understand each other."
Layla, "Ready? Begin!"
Drew, "Ancient power followed by Metronome."
Percy, "Bravebird followed by aerial ace."
Togekiss surrounded herself with ancient power while Skarmory glowed with the use of bravebird. Skarmory moved just as Togekiss attacked and managed to land a hit on Togekiss making her stagger. But Togekiss held on and metronome showed itself to be dynamic punch. Skarmory gave a shriek as he was hit by the power attack and both flying type Pokemon separated. They gave a once over to each other before attacking again, Skarmory using bravebird and aerial ace while Togekiss used ancient power and metronome.
Percy, "Add metal claw, Skarmory."
Drew, "Sky attack before metronome Togekiss."
Percy narrow his eyes at his opponent and watched as alarm attacked using bravebird and aerial ace. The metal claw added a lovely silver streak to Skarmory's flight as he attacked his opponent. Togekiss meanwhile used ancient power followed by sky attack making her look like she was surrounded by a halo of ancient power that defended her from her enemies. Skarmory at that moment hit her with metal claw again but Togekiss not wanting to back down easily unleashed her metronome. Skarmory was hit face first with fire blast making him shriek in pain.
Percy, "Skarmory, you alright?"
Skarmory nodded hissing, "Skar!"
Drew, "Togekiss, you good?"
Togekiss grunted, "Tog!"
Layla wiped her brow, "Oh my! This contest has become very serious and brutal. Both Pokemon have received a lot of damage and both contestants points are very low."
Drew tsked, 'Only ten each left.'
Percy, 'Need to finish this quickly.'
Drew, "Fairy Wind!"
Percy, "Sand storm."
The fairy wind and sand storm clashed together creating a swirling vortex that covered the middle of the battle field. It didn't stop the Pokemon from battling however and they attacked their opponent without holding back.
Drew, "Double team."
Percy, "Attack them all using steel wing."
Drew, "Keep at it."
Togekiss nodded and created doubles of herself and watched as Skarmory attacked the copies.
Drew, "Now flame thrower full power."
Togekiss took a deep breath before she shot the attack straight at Skarmory hitting him head on. Skarmory gave a screech as he went down from the attack and did not get back up again.
Layla, "Ah! Togekiss has won the match, Drew moves on to the next round. For now we'll take a ten minute break to clear up the battle field."
Ash, "He did it!"
Harley, "By the skin of the teeth."
Ash, "Percy is quite strong too. He was pretty close."
Drew, "Damn right he was. For a moment I thought I was done for but then my girl here came through."
Ash, "Nice win Drew. Is Togekiss alright?"
Togekiss puffed up as if to show she was fine, "To ge togekiss."
Drew, "I am taking her to be looked over just in case. A check up never hurt."
Ash nodded, "Let's go now. I want to introduce you to my babies too."
Harley's eyes twinkled in interest at that and the three of them went to the Pokemon center where Lucario and the others were. Drew gaped at the albino Abra who was sleeping away in Charizard's arms while Eevee perked up on seeing Ash and ran towards him, stumbling on the way. Ash laughed and bent down to pick the shiny Eevee up as he introduced the new members to his friends while Brock and Yellow gave their Pokemon a check up. Ash looked at the panel after a while and the match up was announced for the semi finals. He was going up against Harley while Drew was going up against a familiar red head. It'll be an interesting battle for the Kanto Grand Festival Coordinator Cup.
