Chapter 51: Grades Received

Afternoon sharp, Sunday.

This would be the time where their grades would be revealed. It was quite similar to the time the red head received the entrance exam results; as Paul was in the living room with his parents, waiting for his grades to be shown on his laptop.

This laptop has been with Paul since his second Christmas with his parents, who gave him the gadget, promising to teach him how to operate it. Of course, it was only given because Paul had asked for one, when his tutor, Charles, mentioned how a lot of resources could be found online. Besides how he could sort all his studies, and notes, in the laptop, too. Not to mention the benefit of using the said gadget on calculating the training data of his pokemons daily.

Yes, Paul used calculations and algorithms to check on the data of his Pokemons, mostly the strength, speed, and accuracy of their performed moves. Though, he also monitors their stats weekly. He still needs to get his hands on some of the rare berries in the Prestige Store for the further improvement of their stats, but he thinks that he should first, know how to make a Poke Block to keep the maximum efficiency of a berry's effect.

Also, there are some useful medicines that he could use in the Quest Store, though they could only be used once on each pokemon. Still, if he was able to use those on his pokemons, despite its limited uses, it would be a great help.

Shaking his head, Paul shook off the thoughts of his plans regarding the future usage of his points, as there's no point in thinking about something he has few of. The red head focused on the laptop in front of him as he refreshed the webpage of his school's website. There, he finally saw his grades, of which results made him smile, along with his mom's squeals and dad's happy laugh.

Quests regarding school are really giving him points. Paul's really glad that he could mostly do all of his school related quests very well. Not forgetting to mention the [F-level] quests he receives and completes when he does assignments completely every week.

Curious regarding the specific composition of his grades, Paul tried to find the grading table breakdown of his subjects. After a few minutes of searching, along with short breaks for him to accept the hugs of his mom and dad, who, by the way, was telling him how proud of him they were, Paul finally found the breakdown.

It was actually on the page of each subject. He was trying to find them on the homepage of his account, how stupid of him. The main page of his account only contains his subject pages, his account details, and his grades.

[Beginner's Class: Paul Crimson]

Recitation – 10

Tests – 25

Assignments – 15

Semesterly Exam – 50

Grade: 100

Wow. Paul didn't expect to really ace the Beginner's Class subject, being not native to the Pokemon World. But thinking of his more than two years of studying, and past knowledge, and that he perfected all tests, assignments, and questions he received for the past semester, Paul gradually accepted the result.

He was also able to see that his exam score for the subjects was perfect, 100/100.

Despite this, he still thinks that he should learn more, hearing from what Mr. Brown said regarding the difficulty of the researcher rank licensing exams. After calming down, Paul also checked his other subjects grade composition.

[Doctor's Class: Paul Crimson]

Recitation – 9

Test – 23

Assignments – 15

Semesterly Exam – 49

Grade: 98

Well, that was to be expected. Paul's still struggling with some concepts in Biology here, especially Pokemon ones. Thankfully, he has been reading ahead thus he was able to do it very well.

He was also able to see that his exam score was 98/100. Maybe the less score came from the practical exam. Paul wasn't sure though, so he would make sure to ask Ms. Joy so that he'll know where he went wrong if it's in the written test or practical test.

[Contest Class: Paul Crimson]

Participation – 10

Tests – 22

Assessments – 13

Semesterly Exam – 47

Grade: 96

Not surprised here, Contest Class is actually a hard class, in both practical exams and assessments. Thankfully, Paul always did relatively well in this class, thus was still able to earn an exemplary grade from Ms. Hazel, who was known to give only around 90 according to old students.

His Contest Performance score was actually 48/50, while his Contest Battle score was 46/50, with both totaling in 94/100 for his Semesterly Exam.

[Battle Class: Paul Crimson]

Participation – 10

Tests – 23

Assessments – 14

Semesterly Exam – 47

Grade: 97

Same as Contest Class, the Battle Class was also a hard practical class. Though, he did relatively better in the latter compared to the former. Ironically, he had the same test results for his Semesterly Exam in the Battle Class, comparing to the Contest Class, which is 94/100.

[Breeding Class: Paul Crimson]

Participation – 9

Tests – 23

Assessments – 12

Semesterly Exam – 48

Grade: 97

His participation is less in this class, as sometimes he gets sidetracked by the Pokemons. They were just so interesting in the red head's eyes. Practical tests were also hard in this class, though it comes more on the handling. Paul figures that his score will get better over time.

Surprisingly, both scores from his Pokemon Evaluation and Video Grade are both 48/50, which totals to 96/100 for his Semesterly Exam in the Breeding Class,

Overall, Paul was satisfied with his grades. They were better than he expected they would be. His parents were also agreeing with his thought.

"Congratulations Paul! You really did well this semester. I hope you could keep this up, son." Joseph warmly stated, as he patted his son gently, on the shoulders.

Mary, again, hugged Paul as she chattered away, "Yeah hon, you're incredible. I'm glad that you were still able to rank no.1 despite the majority of your peers being double your age. I'm just glad you're enjoying school, and having friends near your age, while even doing great academically."

She paused as she removed her son from her embrace before continuing, "To be honest, I'm quite speechless at your achievements. Your dad and I are smart, yes, but above average smart only. I'm even wondering where you got your IQ from… Hmm…" Mary, now sidetracked, pondered regarding her last statement.

Not knowing whether to laugh or cry, Paul replied, "Mom. Are you insinuating that you "may" have adopted me? Or that one of you isn't actually my parent?"

Mary was immediately out of her contemplation as she heard her son's shocking questions. She smacked him in the head as she responded, "Are you crazy? Of course not! Your dad, and I are 100% your parents, unless…" She sent a questioning gaze on her husband, who immediately interposed.

"Hey! Of course, you're the mother! You gave birth to him, remember?" Joseph bitterly laughed while stating the obvious.

"Oh right…" Mary remembered, "Oh well… enough about that. Maybe your psychic powers developed your brain more, thus did not inherit our intelligence. I should be thankful for that."

"Yeah, I'm also glad he didn't inherit any weird mannerism from you." Joseph sighed as he said.

"What? Are you implying that I have negative characteristics that our son shouldn't copy?" The raven head crossed her arms, as she glared at her husband.

"Of course…not! No, dear. What I meant was that I'm glad that Paul didn't receive any defects or sickness from our genealogy." Joseph responded immediately, worrying that any dilly-dallying might cause him to sleep in the guest room tonight.

Seemingly accepting her husband's lie, Mary finally calmed down as she asked her son a question, "Well, Paul, as you did well for this semester, what do you want to have as a prize? It could be either an item or a trip though, as you have a weeklong Semestral Break, right?" The red head immediately nodded at the last question.

"Well…" Paul started, apparently hesitating about something.

"Go on, son. If we are able to do it, don't hesitate to speak out." Joseph encouraged him.

"I was wondering for a while now… I really wanted to invite Jake, Steven, and Amber to our breeding house. Can I invite them this Semestral Break?"
