Chapter 6: Pokemon World System

Paul immediately answered yes, thus a bunch of blue text box appeared simultaneously.
Different kinds of assistance and benefits the system would provide Paul was listed on the text boxes. However, he needs corresponding points to be able to use some of them. Other ones are still locked, which, for now, he doesn't know the condition to unlock them. Paul read for a while, memorizing every detail while listing off questions he would like to ask. 'Hey… Can I ask a question?' Paul tentatively spoke in his mind.
[Please call me when you have questions.]
'Okay. I would like to ask if the system was capable of harming me?' Paul asked the question that concerns him the most.
[The system only exists for the benefits and assistance to the host and wouldn't be able to harm him.]
'So… You can't do anything to me when you're mad or something?' He continued to ask.
[Harmful, none. But I could ignore you and not respond if you like. ( ͡❛ ▿ ͡❛) ]
Paul was made speechless by the system. After a few seconds of silence, Paul curiously asked. 'Why do you use emojis?'
[It is so that you would be able to detect my emotions, if it's either positive or hostile towards you. ( ^ ▿^) ]
Paul shuddered at the system's frankness. He doesn't need to know what would happen if the system was hostile to the host. As they say, out of sight, out of mind. After being gobsmacked, Paul was unable to help but ask. 'There's no neutrality?'
[As they say, either love fully, or hate to death. The system complies with this belief. ( ͡❛ ᴗ ͡❛) ]
Is it only him that feels what the system was implying? Paul didn't bother to go down those thoughts. He finally asked practical questions regarding the system. 'What features of the system am I currently able to use?'.

These are the different branches of the system. It was plenty, and Paul felt that he was able to use them to his benefit. To explain it shortly, the main summary of the uses of the system, according to what Paul understood, would be the following:

[Quest]
- A branch of the system wherein all the tasks provided by the system is displayed.
- The content of the tasks change depending on the circumstances presented to the user.
- Quest Points could be used in the store. It is rewarded after completing quests. The amount of Quest Points as a reward varies depending on the quest level and quest accomplishment rate of the host's quest.

[Prestige]
- A branch wherein you can get various Prestige Points depending on the level of exposure of the user.
- Prestige Points that could be used in the store could be obtained while doing various exposure activities. 1 point equates to an individual who took notice of you and admired you for that certain moment of exposure or deed, however this could not be repeated on the same person. 1 point could only be obtained from each person in every exposure or deed that the host makes. Bonus Prestige Points are acquired when doing certain tasks that creates a certain influence. The higher the influence, the higher the Prestige Points received.

[Store]
- A branch wherein you could use Quest Points and Prestige Points to buy certain items.
- Quest Points and Prestige Points could avail different things, thus it's important to accumulate points from those two branches.

[Inventory]
- A branch of the system wherein the host could store his items. Rewards from quests and items bought from the store are automatically placed in the inventory.

[Data]
- A branch of the system wherein all data and knowledge collated by the host are stored. The system also stores data collected from computers and machineries could be uploaded to this branch.

[Map]
- A branch of the system wherein the host could view different geographies.
- A 3D representation of the surroundings of the host.

[Scan]
- A branch of the system wherein it could detect a Pokemon's biological data or an item's data.
- It could detect the following: Pokemon Name, Type, Gender, Ability, Potential, Level, Held Item, and Moves.

[Status]
- A branch of the system wherein it lists the status of the host.
- It detects the following: Name, Age, Gender, Ability, Profession, and Owned Pokemons.

Paul roughly knows the different uses of the system, but for now, the data and map branch of the system are locked out. There are a lot of branches, which means that he could use the system for a lot of things. As he was pondering about the uses and benefits of the system, a new text box appeared in his sight.
[Tutorial Finished!]
[A welcome package was given to the host.]
[To view the reward, please go to your inventory.]
'Inventory.' Paul spoke silently. A blue screen with big grids popped up. He noticed that the inventory is very similar to the inventory of an RPG game. At the first box, Paul saw a gift which looked like wrapped up presents during Christmas. Paul tried to click on it, and another text box appeared. This time, the text box has an image, which was the welcome package, along with its description.

- A welcome package from the Pokemon World System to its host. Additional rewards were added for having a 100% sync rate with the system. Say open to unlock the welcome page.

Paul then thought aloud. 'Open.' Another text box appeared on his view.
[3x Pokemon Optimizer acquired.]
[Psychic Ability: Telepathy unlocked]
Paul then checked the details of his welcome package.

[Pokemon Optimizer]
- A tube that contains a fluid that could help optimize the gene sequence of a Pokemon, thus improving its potential. There are chances for a Pokemon to learn a new innate move as its potential improves.
- Improves Pokemon's potential with at least two color shades and a maximum of five color shades.

[Psychic Ability: Telepathy - Level 1]
- An ability that enables the user to talk to someone, may it be a person, or a Pokemon, telepathically. This helps convey your message to the said person or Pokemon without uttering any words. Only a Psychic, or a psychic pokemon could telepathically speak back.
- Level 1: Only able to telepathically speak to people or Pokemon that is within a ten meter range.

'Oh… Happy Birthday to me.' Paul thought while he was mesmerized with what he got from the package.
