Chapter 90: The Boss Tournament (Part 3)
What the hell did I miss? Did Janine get her ass handed to her on a golden platter or what?
"Crobat, Return!" Janine's voice echoed through the smoke and I scanned Alakazam just to be sure.

Holy Shit!!! It's a Lv. 50 and these battles are two vs two, Even at that, Janine's strongest was at LV. 46 and yet she was one-shotted or two-shotted? I wasn't watching.
"Here we go, Venusaur!" Janine called out and threw another Pokeball into the air, The Pokeball burst open and revealed a Venusaur that was ready for battle.
"Start with Frenzy Plant!" Janine called out.
Starting with a very powerful move like that in the beginning would lead to very serious consequences in the long run as the Pokemon would run out of strength a whole lot quicker than regular but I sure hope that Janine wasn't just using a Powerful attack because there was no back-up plan.
Venusaur stomped on the ground and several giant roots sprouted out of the ground, each of them heading straight for Alakazam.
'Barrier and then Fire Blast!'
Alakazam created a golden barrier in front of him, blocking Frenzy plant for a second but that second was all that was needed for Alakazam to fire a powerful Fire Blast.
"Protect!" Janine called out.
I breathed a sigh of relief, I thought she would be one-shotted. A translucent barrier of energy appeared and shielded Venusaur from the intense Fire Blast.
"Alright, Here we go, Use Sunny Day!" Janine ordered.
Venusaur shot an orb of sunlight into the air and it lit up the entire arena.
'Alakazam, Teleport and then Fire Punch!'
"Venusaur, Protect once more!" Janine ordered.
Alakazam vanished and the next instant, A fist full of fire was about to hit Venusaur only to be stopped by a translucent barrier of energy.
"Solarbeam now!!!" Janine ordered with all of her might.
Solar Beam was instantly fired and Alakazam widened his eyes before being engulfed by a Beam of Solar energy sending him flying and colliding with the barrier.
Maria's eyes widened.
'Alakazam, Double Team then Recover!'
"Venusaur, Hold him in place, Vine Whip!" Janine ordered.
Alakazam vanished into thin air and got replaced by tens if not hundreds of Alakazam, each glowing in a radiant golden light.
The Whips couldn't deal with multiple Alakazams at once and withered.
'End it with Fire Blast!'
A brilliant bright flame burst to life in the arena as Multiple Fire blasts converged on the same spot, Each disappearing until the real one finally struck causing an explosion of hot red fire.
Janine returned her Pokemon to his Pokeball, She was incredibly disappointed with herself as she left the arena.
I clicked my tongue in annoyance, The fact that she communicated Telepathically with her Pokemon was annoying!
I rose from my chair and Koga looked at me.
"Where are you going? Aren't you going to see the next match?" Koga asked.
"I'll be right back, I'm gonna get some Popcorn for the both of us," I said.
"Oh okay, Tell them no sugar in mine," Koga said.
I nodded and then widened my eyes, Why would a person not want sugar in Popcorn?
I ran off, not wanting to miss the next match.

The Restaurant section of the underground base hardly had anyone in it except for a girl low in spirit sitting while drinking herself to her fill.
I looked at the salesman which was a grunt and then I sighed.
"I want one regular Popcorn and one with no sugar," I said.
"No sugar?" He questioned.
"It's for an acquaintance that hates sugar," I said and he nodded.
"Your order will be ready in a minute, Please sit down," He said and went to the Kitchen section.
I sat down next to Janine and extended a handkerchief to her, She was still sober, At least I think.
"What for?" Janine asked, "Are you not disappointed that I lost after I called you weak?"
"Let me be honest when I say I knew you would lose," I said with a shrug, "She was too strong and she's a Psychic so I get that, but you shouldn't be drinking, It's not good for you, after all, You're gonna inherit a gym, A gym leader can't have bad habits.
Don't beat yourself up because you lost, With each loss, A person grows stronger and stronger and I know you'll be stronger than ever,"
"Order up!"
"I have to take an order, bye," I said as I rushed to the counter.
"Sniff... Does he believe in me?" Janine muttered to herself.

Returning back to my seat, I watch the next opponents duke it out. They were from the Vengeance faction, Keith and the Violence faction, Kevin and they got a Double K.O.
"And the next match we have on the Agenda is a contestant from the Finance faction, Jordan and a contestant from the Vengeance faction, Sophia! Let the fight begin!"
