Chapter 7: First Gym Battle
Lucas wakes up early in the morning. He was excited for his gym battle. He gets ready and takes his Pokemons from Nurse joy. Then he goes to the gym.
He reaches the gym and see it. It is looking same as in anime. He knows that Brock is the gym leader. The gym specializes in rock type. He already decided to use Pidgeotto and Bulbasaur for gym battle.
He enters the gym and sees Brock there. He challenge Brock for the gym battle.
Lucas-" I am here to challenge you for the gym battle".
Brock-"I accept your challenge".
Both of them goes to battle field. They stood at opposite side of the field. The referee announces the rules.
Referee-" This will be two-on-two pokemon battle between Pewter city gym leader and the challenger. The winner of this battle will be the one who defeats the all the pokemons of the opponent".
Both Lucas and Brock brings out their pokeballs. First Brock reveals his Pokemon. It is a Geodude.
Seeing this Lucas brings out Pidgeotto. Brock saw Pidgeotto and asks.
Brock-" Don't you know that flying type pokemon are weak against rock type pokemon?".
Lucas-" Yes I know but you shouldn't judge my pokemon because you have type advantage".
Referee-"The battle begins".
Brock-" Geodude use Rock throw".
Lucas-" Pidgeotto use Agility and dodge all the rock".
Geodude throws rocks at Pidgeotto. But Pidgeotto uses Agility and dodge all the rocks easily.
Lucas-" Now Pidgeotto use Steel wing multiple times at Geodude until it gets knocked out".
Pidgeotto's wings glows and moves towards Geodude. Then Pidgeotto attacks Geodude with Steel wing for multiple times. Geodude tries to defend itself but couldn't. Then few minutes later, Geodude gets knocked out and had swirl on his eyes.
Referee-"Geodude couldn't able to battle. The winner is Pidgeotto".
Brock got shocked that he lost. He thought that it will be easy. He returns Geodude and brings out another pokeball.
Brock-" Well I am surprised. But can you defeat my Onix?"
Brock throws his pokeball from which an Onix comes out. Lucas returns Pidgeotto and brings out another pokeball.
Lucas-" Yes I can. Come out Bulbasaur".
Lucas throws his pokeball from which Bulbasaur comes out.
Referee-" The battle begins".
Brock-" Onix use Tackle".
Lucas-" Bulbasaur dodge it and use Leech seed".
Onix used Tackle, but Bulbasaur dodges the attack and shoots a seed from its plant bulb at Onix. The seed latches to Onix which absorbs the energy from it. Onix starts to feel weak.
Brock-" Oh no Onix".
Lucas-" Now Bulbasaur finish it with Energy ball".
Bulbasaur concentrate his energy into its bulb and forms an Energy ball. Then he shoot it at Onix. The energy ball hits Onix straight at the head. Onix got defeated and had swirl in its eyes.
Referee-"Onix couldn't able to battle. The winner is Bulbasaur. Since the gym leader had lost all his Pokemons. So the victory goes to Lucas".
Lucas got happy. He won his first gym battle. He sees Brock return his Onix back to its pokeball and was coming towards him.
Brock-" Well done. You have defeated me. Here you got Boulder badge".
Lucas-" Well thank you".
Lucas receives the Boulder badge. Suddenly Bulbasaur started to glow brightly and changing. After few seconds later, Bulbasaur evolved into Ivysaur.
Lucas-"Very good Ivysaur".
He returns Ivysaur and gets out from the gym. He goes to pokemon center and gives his Pokemons to nurse joy. He then takes rest and sleep at night.
