Chapter 3: Chapter-3: Manipulation and cooking 101 with MC
(Naruto POV)
Why does everyone hate me...
What did I do to deserve this hate? I was always a good boy, I never troubled anyone...
So why...?
I always try to be more liked but still...
'No one likes you means you are simply not good enough.'
I heard a random voice from somewhere.
"Who is there?!" I asked out loud.
I was scared that these people will try to hit me again.
'Don't look anywhere, kid. I am technically a part of you.' The strange voice said.
"Who are you and why are talking in my head like that? Why am I not good enough?! I am a good boy! I do everything I can to make others like me! WHy-?!?!" I said as tears started to fell from my cheeks and my voice got shaky.
'No one can hear those shrieks of pain and misery. The rain hides your tears, boy. How about you start thinking? I can still hear you without you screaming out loud.' The strange voice said.
'Can you really hear me?' I thought.
'Of course I can, boy.' the voice responded.
'Then...tell me who even are you? Why does everyone hate me?' I thought as I moved towards the new apartment that Hokage jiji gave to me.
'Me? You can call me Voice-kun, I suppose. As to why everyone hates you, you simply aren't enough.' Voice-kun responded.
I finally made my first friend.
I was really happy but I still didn't like it one bit that he said I wasn't enough.
'Why am I not enough?' I asked.
Maybe I can finally make friends?
'That is not the question you should be asking, Naruto. You are not looking for the correct path.' Voice-kun said.
'What...?'
I was genuinely confused.
I didn't know how to react to that...Why am I asking the wrong question...?
'The happiness is found within oneself. Did you try to ask yourself...Am I enough for myself? You do not need someone else other than me, yours truly. I am you. You are me. Will you be my only true friend..?' the voice-kun said with a shaky voice.
Am I truly enough for myself...?
Is ignoring others and not making them acknowledge me okay...?
'You may be questioning yourself a lot right now but I understand. You are still not ready now. When you feel it's the correct time, call me again. I am you. You are me. I will wait for you...' Voice-kun said as his voice faded out.
'No! Please don't leave! You are my only friend right now! NO!' I thought.
My brain was racing to find a solution for this.
I finally made a friend and I am not letting him go so easily.
'I am always inside you, Naruto. I will never leave you. Now go home, I hope you don't catch a cold.' Voice-kun said.
I was a little relieved now.
I headed home.
Today is the day.
I made my first friend.

OMIGOD I can't believe he fell for that!
My goodness how deprived can you be to fall for such basic lines...
Hiruzen is not doing a great job.
At all.
Well he was always famous for botching everything so I am not surprised.
So...can I see some progress now?

That is a really small figure but something to start, nonetheless.
After a few minutes, Naruto finally arrived in his apartment.
He cleaned up himself with a towel that was lying on the bed to dry himself, probably from the morning baths in a row.
He changed his clothes and after eating a cup of ramen, he simply slept inside his bed but not before saying me good night.
He was a sweet kid but too bad I am possessing him.
What should be my future plans huh?
I think I will make him completely emotionally dependent on me while cutting off any escape routes.
This will probably change a lot from the plot but do I care?
No.
Butterfly effect is bound mess things up.
It's not like things will be same from now on.
So why stick the plot. forcing everything?
A lot of people will be dying but I am willing to pay the price.
So...
First step is probably to give some carrots.
Sticks will be reserved for later.
That's how it works when you don't have too many carrots.
I immediately took control of Naruto and got up.
I tried a lot things like pinching myself, scratching myself etc. to try and wake up the real Naruto but nothing was successful.
It was a good thing.
It was time to clean up the room and cook him some food for tomorrow.
The cooking as an optional subject is coming in clutch now.
Who would've thought?
I quickly cleaned up his dumpster of a room and made it super clean.
I had my maid do this for me everyday but I remember when I was a teen, I was always nagged by my mom to keep my room clean.
It wasn't a pleasant experience but the result is satisfying.
It almost took me the entire night as I was extremely rusty.
I now started preparation of cooking as it was about to sunrise.
I need to up my cleaning and cooking game, I guess.
After cleaning up the dumpster that this kid called 'room'.
I went to the kitchen to check on the ingredients.
He had almost nothing except a few vegetables and expired meat inside his fridge.
I threw away the expired meat as soon as I took a whiff.
That thing was totally supposed to kill this poor boy through food poisoning.
They really hate him.
Well I didn't expect anything less.
Only edible thing that I could see was cups of ramen that were lined up in shelfs like they were some trophies.
It was a little sad but okay.
This just makes my goal more easier.
I chopped up the vegetables after dipping them inside cold water and boiled the ramen noodles in a separate vessel.
I started the fire, I poured some oil sitting inside the freezer (Naruto is too irresponsible) in the pan, after letting it heat for quite a bit, I stir fried the veggies put inside the cold water.
I added the a few spices I found lying around the house. Some of them were red chilli and very spicy stuff while others were unused packs of spices from other cups of ramen.
(A/N: Idk about your country but in mine, ramen and noodles come with a separate sache of spices and stuff.)
I mixed some of them up but made sure it wasn't too spicy.
I poured in the boiled noodles with some vinegar saches in the stir fried veggies and stirred it up a lot.
The smell of the noodles were nostalgic for me.
I remember how I became a dorm chef during the start of the college.
I left after an year or so as I found out I was rich because of switchcoin but that doesn't matter.
I poured the fried noodles into a plate and simply placed it on the table.
It was almost morning time.
I simply let go of the control of the body and Naruto woke up.
He was quite surprised.
Even I'd be surprised if I had my whole room cleaned up and woke up on my dining table randomly.
It's time to see his reaction now.
