Chapter 85: Furia's Crystal

A week after Furia's success. I took Furia on a quest for her lightsaber crystal.
Now we are on Dantooine, southeast end of the Khoonda plains.
For here, is an abandoned, forgotten, dilapidated Jedi enclave that was built next to a crystal cave. Where the Dantari crystal can be found. Which is not too limited in color as the ones one Iluum. They are not as numerous anymore though. As before Iluum, the crystals were depleted. A reason the Jedi moved to Iluum. A few thousand years is long enough for the planet to restock though.
Dantooine has a rich history. There is even a direct hyperspace lane from Coruscant to Dantooine.
After we landed on Dantooine. We came upon the outskirts of the cave and ruined enclave. As it was the location I had in mind.
I told Furia who was cloaked next to me, "Furia, you will enter the cave alone. You will see many crystals. You will feel a connection to only one. I will be in the ruins of the enclave. Do not expect ease when retrieving your crystal. There is often times obstacles in some form or another."
"I will be wary of them. I'll be back Bido.", Furia then went on into the cave.
Now I could go and satisfy my curiosity. As I always found it odd how the Jedi retreated from most their enclaves and bases. Leaving only the Jedi Temple as their only place.
"It is unsurprising that the Jedi would reduce their own power and influence in the galaxy. Just to put fools at ease.", I say.
(Furia POV)
The cave was dreary and...used. Echoes of the past were in the stone. There were many crystals around, but none I felt a connection with.
So I started to go deeper. Where I encountered dozens of pairs of red eyes. These were Laigrek. Insectoids that walked on four legs with two serrated scythe arms. They normally don't attack people.
However, my luck would not be good. Which is why they started to attack me. I started to use my wristblades to cut them down. They are simple creatures, easy to fight. After cutting nearly a hundred, they stop coming. Of course, I was unscathed and only used fighting skills.
"Damn old caves...", I mutter.
"Furia....", I hear from a familiar voice.
I turn around and see my mother. A powerful witch that fell to Talzin.
"Mother, I did not expect to see you here. Or anywhere.", I say.
She scoffs, "My daughter submits to a man. My daughter leaves behind Dathomir and our ways. My daughter gets changed. Why would I not appear if I could. My foolish daughter. Kill that ugly husband of yours. Then kill that abominable spawn you bore to him. Return to Dathomir, back to our ways."
It was not unexpected that my mother would speak this way. She was a heavy traditionalist. I still got angry though.
So I shot green lightning at her apparition, "Go back to being dead!"
"Our family has enough ghost with Marka and Kaljaren.", I say as she disappears.
I move deeper into the cave. Where I come across a crystal I feel a connection to. It is a dark green crystal with black wisps. Bido said that a Dantari can take rare colors.
Before I can grab it, two stalker lizards make themselves known. As they their bodies and long necks that were hidden in the shadows. These lizards are 3 meters long. They are not even supposed to be in caves.
They spit out a purple gas from their mouths. I push it away with the Force as I felt it was dangerous. They are not supposed to be able to do that neither.
I was annoyed by their interreference. I whispered a spell and green spectral hands grabbed them by the limbs, torso, and neck. Then they all pulled. Their heads and limbs were torn off.
"Damn lizards.", I mutter.
I then take the crystal and start to make my way out.
(Back to Bido POV)
The abandoned enclave did not have much in it.
"Ah, an old enclave. Most of these were gone by my time. Even the temple I resided in was one of the few places besides Coruscant that Jedi congregated at in my time. Now they are all gone.", Kaljaren appear by my side.
He continued, "Follow me, enclaves have hidden compartments for important items. Maybe something was left behind."
I was led to a seamless compartment in the floor. Kaljaren opened it for me. To my surprise, there was something inside.
"A holocron, wait...this is a noetikon. What is this doing here?", I ask aloud.
Kaljaren shrugs, "I do not know. But this should be the noetikon of technology. Most likely having information on lightsaber construction given the location we are at."
I nod, "Yes, it could be useful to me. This is a good find."
I pick up the noetikon and put it away. Kaljaren waves as he fades away. I then walk outside the enclave to find Furia exiting the cave as well.
I met up with her, "Were you successful Furia?"
She holds up her crystal, "I was, let's go home."
Her unique green crystal was a curious thing. It fit her perfectly.
"Good, let us go then."
We got to our scout ship and left Dantooine back to Myrkr.
