Chapter 33: Shimmering waves
Anna seated on a chair in her kitchen, her face which looked empty there was no emotion, no anger, no sadness, no worry, no fear, no pain she just sat there as if she was lifeless, she blinked her eyes, only the sound of her breathing can listen, she got up and a deep sigh left her lips before she made her way out of her apartment
Wearing the same gray shirt along with her white dress pants,
In the night he stood on a shore gazing at the sea, with the shimmering waves in the moonlight.... with unanswered questions and unnamed feelings for her, Zain also couldn't bear the silence of his room, he left everything behind and now he was standing in front of a gloomy sea in that night, he wanted to fresh his mind, feeling the chill wind of obsolescence blowing down his neck
he inhaled the aroma of sea mud
This was the only thing that was common between Anna and Zain, whenever they can't bear the darkness of their own soul, they left everything behind and go somewhere where they can find peace
Today the night was more dark than usual for Anna she walked near those high waves, the waves broke and spread their waters swiftly over the shore. One after another they massed themselves and fell; The waves were steeped deep-blue save for a pattern of diamond-pointed light on their backs. The waves fell; withdrew and fell again, like the thud of a great beast stamping.
Anna fell on her knees and a tear trailed down from her eye, she parted her lips she wanted to let all those silent screams out which she was keeping deep somewhere in her heart but her voice refused to come out she felt as she was mute she couldn't utter anything but those light whimpers
but those yelling waves didn't let her hear her own cries
She puts her hands down on the mud and a loud painful groan left her mouth
Standing in that dark night Zain was drowning deep in his thoughts when he heard a hurtful grown which made him look to the side where the voice came from, he saw a girl seated on that dusty ground had hands plated in the sea mud, the few strands of hairs were covering her face yet that dark night didn't help in any way, she looked like she was not in her right state, Zain wanted to go and ask if everything was ok but he stopped his pace as he didn't want to invade someone's privacy
The night was comfortless and chill, and they did not dare to talk too loud, for the echoes were uncanny, and the silence seemed to dislike being broken - except by the noise of water and the wail of wind and the crack of stones
Anna sit still for about 20 minutes, and all this time Zain was standing a little far watching her, he didn't dare to move or utter anything
The darkness grew apace; a cold wind began to blow in freshening gusts, From the edge of the sea came a ripple and whisper. Beyond these lifeless sounds, the world was silent. Silent? It would be hard to convey the stillness of it.
But another groan broke that silence and that stillness that Zain was carrying,
"That's enough!"
It was the end of his patience, he starts taking steps towards that girl who was still unaware of his presence
"Excuse me!"
"Are you okay?"
Zain stood right beside and bend down a little to get a better view, but something made his eyes frowned,
the girl was wearing the same clothing as Anna, her white dress pants which were now a little dirty along with her gray silk shirt which was glowing in the moonlight, her messy hair which looked much messier than before,
"Anna?"
without realizing her name left His mouth~
