Chapter 2: The Rabbit of Light
"Thank you!" I spoke.
"Oh, by the way, about the Rain of Death, I wanted to ask, what causes it?" Lily's expression turned solemn. "We still haven't figured out the cause. We only know it contaminates people's bodies and souls..."
Beside us, the Black Knight Alessio set down his bag from his horse. "Ah, this rain really saps all my strength."
Chiara and Adelina took out the water from the bag for Alessio. "Shall we help you set up the tent too?"
"Nope. Help me feed the horses. I still have some strength," Alessio said.
As the sun set, the clouds in the sky lessened. "We can see the stars tonight!" Lily exclaimed.
A white thing darted into Lily's pocket.
"Miss Kaname?" Lily pulled out a shiny object from her pocket.

"It's the Rabbit of Light! Lily, the Rabbit of Light likes you!"
"Miss Kaname? I've never seen him before," Lily said, "Oh my! He's licking my wound!"
"The Rabbit of Light is a creature full of love!"
The moonlight of the night was pristine, like a cosmetic compact, illuminating the slender figure of the Milky Way.
The Rabbit of Light hopped out of Lily's hands, holding a pocket watch.
"Friends! Come out! It's time to prepare the medicine!"
Countless rabbits emerged from their burrows, surrounding us and singing:

Lily closed her eyes, and the magical device on her abdomen emitted light, "Lily, the White Priestess, prays to Lilith..." Her body became increasingly transparent, like crystal.

In the goldenrain tree, magpies called out in the early hours. The deer mother and her fawn lay beside the tent. The willow swayed gracefully in the wind, unveiling new buds.
Princess Aika's Little Drama:
Princess Aika was very afraid of meeting boys when she was young, and no girls wanted to play with her, so she raised a little rabbit. One day, the princess's rabbit started talking, and Princess Aika was very happy. The rabbit escaped from its cage on its own, and said to Princess Aika, "I want to eat grass in the meadow! I want to run in the meadow!"
Princess Aika gave him freedom, and it ran in the princess's small courtyard. After running, Princess Aika would reward him with a peeled carrot!
But the rabbit became more and more stout later on, and he was unusually heavy, and Princess Aika couldn't carry him anymore.
One day, a little tiger saw the rabbit and chased after him. The rabbit couldn't run, and the little tiger bit off the rabbit's left leg.
Princess Aika saw him, but the rabbit was already gasping for breath.
The rabbit said to Princess Aika, "Princess Aika! I'm sorry I can't accompany you anymore. I really hope that the ruler of this world can use my life to find you a friend!"
Then, miraculously, the magic of miracles happened—the rabbit turned into a glowing creature, becoming the Rabbit of Light!
