Chapter 2: Frustrated
Hi, my name is Erza Malanoskova. Twenty five years old. Single (probably from today onwards). Orphan since past seven years. Emotionally unstable. Unwanted. Alone.
This is how I can explain myself in this situation. Having lost everything I had earned during the last few years I feel useless.
Here I am standing in front of an old house which is almost falling apart. This used to be my great grandparent's resistance. I had visited this place when I was young with my parents. Then my grandparents were living here.
My grandfather told me once that my great grandparents were from a place called Gastonia and they were not Asians. I could say that from their looks. But the place. I had never heard of it. Maybe he just cooked up some story to tell me as I was a kid then.
I took the keys from my pocket and opened the door. It was the same old house. Nothing had changed since I last visited. That was on my grandfather's funeral. Since then no one lived here. The place desperately needed cleaning and dusting up. But I am too tired for that.
I cleaned up the master bed room and the bathroom attached to it. Then I cleaned the kitchen and settled myself. I cooked instant noodles and ate my fill.
The moment I hit my bed I could see sleep creeping towards me. I fell into deep slumber.
Next morning I woke up to find my self in a strange room. It took me a while to recollect the happenings the day before. Then I understood that this was my grandparent's home.
After having my breakfast, I decided to clean up the house. I didn't have enough money to repair the whole house, but I knew, I will do it eventually. All I needed was a new start. A new atmosphere.
I had to find a job for myself now as I had resigned my previous job in a hurry. Maybe that would give me a new start.
Frustration had taken over me when I left the office yesterday and I sent a resignation letter even without thinking twice.
I started cleaning up from the hall . The house had a large number of furniture with unique designs and patterns. But most of them were damaged. I decided to move them to the store room in the basement.

While cleaning my eyes fell on an object. It had a peculiar shaped. I went near it and dusted it up. It was a pentagonal shaped box with "Kingdom of Gastonia " engraved on it. I pressed the red button on the centre of the box.
The bottom sank and the box opened. It contained another box in it. I was puzzled but decided to have a look at it as well.
I opened the smaller box to see a beautiful pendent. It was shining so bright. Under the pendent, there was a paper. It looked really old.
I opened the paper and found that it was a message from my ancestors. The letter read...
