Chapter 43: Unity is the top priority!
After hanging out in Meiko's room for a while, Mari and Hana bid their farewells. Meiko continued to fight until the very end, determined to sway the president of the Underground Student Council. However, Mari's stubbornness remained unwavering.
Despite Mari's claim that their conversation was merely small talk, it was obvious to anyone that she harbored a strong desire for the five male students to fail in the experiment she had supposedly devised.
Meiko finds herself in a perplexing situation within her own mind, but she takes solace in the fact that Mari is giving her the attention she craves. Despite her repeated reassurances that she was okay, Mari still suggested that Meiko take a day off and rest.
"That conversation totally helped me forget about the super embarrassing incident earlier... thank goodness Mari misunderstood me. I can't even imagine if she realized she was sitting in a puddle of my love juice."
Meiko took a moment to catch her breath, glancing at her reflection in the mirror before heading out of her room. She continued walking towards the prison block, eager to explore its depths.
It's always the same. Even on holidays, the guys are still assigned work. Mari believed this was meant to cleanse their minds and direct their energy towards more practical pursuits, but Meiko knew something else.
"I knew about it before, but I honestly didn't give it a second thought... but what happened to me suddenly, really."
Meiko felt a stronger connection with Kiyoshi, which allowed her to experience a sense of sympathy.
Without realizing it, she casually swung open the door to the prison block and strolled right in. Despite being late, Meiko maintained a stern expression, seemingly ready to hold the boys accountable for the situation.
"Vice President, it's not our fault if you showed up late. Just saying."
Gakuto was quick to voice his objections when he found himself on the receiving end of harsh treatment, particularly when Meiko began hurling insults at them, accusing them of laziness and other derogatory remarks.
Contrary to what everyone believed, Meiko didn't immediately punish Gakuto. She said she'd just give him a push-up punishment, which was actually pretty easy compared to all the other punishments she'd given him before.
Kiyoshi noticed her strange behavior and felt a bit uneasy. However, once he found an opportunity for them to have a conversation, he felt a wave of relief wash over him.
"Why are you feeling relieved? Our situation has taken a turn for the worse. It's not looking good at all."
Now Kiyoshi finally gets why Meiko isn't being as harsh as usual. But here's the thing: Mari's got a plan that just might work. See, ever since last night, Gakuto, who happens to be in the same cell as him, hasn't shut up about his escape.
It's like Gakuto has completely lost it, and what he's putting on display is just a facade.
"So, you're asking me to watch over him? What about the others? Didn't you say they were also involved in this escape plan?"
"I've got it covered... ohhh, just remember to keep acting like you normally would, and if you can, be a bit tougher on him."
As Kiyoshi joined the others in the middle of the field, he sensed a subtle change in the air. He was taken aback by the seriousness etched on their faces, causing his eyebrows to shoot up in surprise.
"Kiyoshi-dono, just a reminder that you're the one responsible for keeping the Vice President occupied."
Once again, Kiyoshi could see the unmistakable signs of madness in Gakuto's eyes. It was as if a storm was brewing within him, ready to unleash its fury at any moment. Gakuto even chuckled as if they were engaged in something truly thrilling.

I wouldn't have ended up in this terrible situation if I hadn't been so curious and decided to sneak a peek into the female students' bathroom that night.
The time I spent at school was nothing like what I had imagined. Just as I started to find some hope amidst the challenges, those bitch tried to hold me back.
"General Guan Yu, just you wait. You're gonna be in my collection real soon."
Without realizing it, I had unintentionally struck a dramatic pose. My fists clenched as I gazed at the sun. As soon as I squinted my eyes, there was Andre, his massive frame obstructing my line of sight.
"Hey, Gakuto, how's it going? Are you sure this will be okay?"
'You useless pig… you know how crucial this plan is for all of us!'
As I looked at his puzzled expression, it felt like I was basically having a conversation with myself. But I was glad I didn't have to say it right to his face. Unity is crucial at the moment.
"Don't worry, comrade. Remember, I promised to get you those amazing crepes you can only find near the station."
Andre, who had initially been filled with concern, now seemed to be bubbling with excitement. His face lit up like the sun shining brightly in the background.
Alright, one issue down. Now I just gotta keep persuading him.
Right now, we've got the task of gathering up all the dry leaves that are scattered throughout the forest. I'm not exactly sure why we're doing this other than to make the forest look greener, but I can't complain.
"Could you please remind me once again what I need to do? Honestly, I'm feeling a bit nervous about it."
So, Shingo approached me this time. Despite his attempts to come off as a tough guy, his behavior was quite the opposite. He wasn't even any better than me, but still, I greeted him with a smile.
'Unity is the top priority!'
"As we discussed many times before, you're gonna create some serious chaos on the other side of the school. It's crucial to avoid going near the school gate at all costs."
"I get it, but seriously, making chaos?... What should I do, exactly?"
I took a deep breath before speaking, wanting to be thoughtful in my response. It seemed that besides being a loser, he was also quite stupid.
"Feel free to make some noise or burn your rubbish. The more noticeable it is, the better."
As soon as I saw Shingo's face go pale, I could tell exactly what was going through his mind. But just as I was about to pull the same trick I did with Andre, someone suddenly showed up.
"Gakuto... ughkk... I'm not in great shape... *cough... I won't be much help... let Kiyoshi take over for me while I try to divert that bitch attention..."
Apart from Shingo and me, Joe also squatted down near us, and now there were the three of us under the tree, deep in conversation about the plans I had already gone over countless times.
