Chapter 2: Chapter One - Incoming Danger

"That'll be six dollars and twelve cents." said a friendly cashier. I checked my bags, and it seemed my wallet was missing. "Crap… I forgot my wallet." "Don't worry, Darius. I got you." Said a little girl's friendly voice next to me. "Oh thanks, Isabella. I don't know what I would do without you." I said thankfully. Isabella put seven dollars on the counter and smiled. I got my breakfast off the counter, and the friendly cashier handed over the change to Isabella. "Thanks for coming!" the cashier exclaimed. I waved back and we left the gas station's market. "You really owe me one." teased Isabella. She playfully nudges me with her elbow. "I guess I do.." I said, defeated. I carried the brown bag of goods, and we walked side by side, on the sidewalk to school. "I'm really lucky to have you as a friend," I said. "Where did that come from?" Isabella asked. "Nothing, it's just I am happy to have you as a friend." Isabella was too good for me, she was short, but she also had to be the prettiest girl in the whole school. With platinum blonde hair, glossy brown eyes, and a really elegant demeanor; anyone would think she was an amazing girl. I was an average looking guy, with medium-length brown hair and green eyes. I wasn't very tall and had a kind of boring aura. I was totally one of the background characters in the story, where Isabella was the heroine. "Darius, are you going into your own world again?" Isabella snapped me out of my daydream. "Ah, uh no..?" I said not very convincingly. She sighed. "I knew it." We joked around for what seemed like a few minutes, and we arrived at school. The school is quite massive for a private school, it sort of looked like a castle based on its size alone. Time always flies when I'm with her. "I'm heading to the cafeteria, see ya." I waved. As Isabella waved goodbye and I headed to the cafeteria, I noticed my friends. The cafeteria is so large, but there are never many people here. "Hey!" called out Russel. "Hey, Russel," I greeted. Russel was a very good looking guy, tall and athletic, he also had blue eyes and black hair. He pulled off a bag from a chair, and casually said "I saved this spot for you." "Thanks." I sat down and started to eat breakfast I bought at the gas station. Hector nodded as a greeting when he finally noticed me. Hector was never the talkative type. Hector had caramel hair, black eyes, and was an average looking guy. He would play video games with me every now and then. "Darius," Russel called out. "What's up?" I asked as I put down my food. "So how are you and Isabella going?" he teased. "Hey!" I said, clearly embarrassed. Hector started giggling. "Anyways, we need to get to class soon," Russel said pointing at the clock. I sighed, clearly disappointed. I headed over to the classroom for my first period and sat down when I arrived in the classroom. My first period is history, which I am glad it is, I always liked history. Class continues, as always. When I was looking out the window, I noticed something. "What's that?" I muttered under my breath. A group of people dressed in black and some in white were heading to this classroom. I looked around the classroom and no one else seemed to care. "What's that in their hands?" I stared for a bit longer, and the more they approached, the more I realized what was in their hands. Guns? Are those guns in their hands? What is happening? Why am I the only one who noticed this? The group then aimed their black sub-machine guns at the windows.
