Chapter 7: The train
[01/09/1991]
I went to King's Cross Station with floo powder to take the train with the other students, i wanted to wait in the forbidden forest but Rosmerta said that the train was also hogwarts experience. So i went to the barrier on the wall and entered the train at 9:30 so that i could find empty seats. And it went well. As i was the only student on the wagon, i changed into my robes and, putting my trunk on one of the seats, i entered my room to study more transfiguration which right now was my favourite subject.
[Some time later]
Rainy-(i guess that the train should have begun to move by now, i'll go to see who's sitting in my compartment)
I went up the wooden ladder to get out of my room and when i opened the trunk i saw that there were 2 boys on the compartment with an awkward silence, one with red hair and the other with black hair and green eyes.
Then the red haired guy saw me.
???- wha...!? who are you??
Rainy-(it seems i startled them, hehe...) my name's Rainy Lionheart.
Then i went out of the trunk, closed it, and sited on the place the trunk was. They seemed to have a lot of questions but that had to wait because the door on the compartment opened. And two more red haired guys begun to talk.
???- hey ron, listen we're going down the middle of the train. Lee Jordan's got a giant tarantula down there.
Ron?- right...
???- Harry, did we introduce ourselves? Fred and George Weasley. And this is Ron, our brother. See you later, then.
Ron/Harry- bye.
Then they left.
Rainy- wow, they seem to be quite busy.
Ron- yeah, they are the official pranksters of the school by now
Rainy- interesting, so... going to introduce yourselves?
Ron- oh... i'm Ronald Weasley
Harry- my name's Harry Potter.
Ron- so it's true!, and tell me, do you have, you know...
Rainy- the scar?
Harry- oh, yes.
Then harry showed us his scar, it was a really small scar. The only interesting thing was that the scar was made in a magical way. Or so i heard.
Rainy- it's smaller than i thought, i thought it would be at least half the length of mine.
Harry- by the way, how did you get that scar? It goes all the way down from the left part of your forehead to the right cheek.
Rainy- it was when i was 4 years old, killing a wolf.
Ron- what!? i don't believe that!
Rainy- believe what you want, i'm not going to convince you. I'm on my way to become the strongest witch in the history.
Harry- the strongest? That must be hard...
Ron- not hard, impossible, there are witches and wizards absurdly powerful out there, like Merlin and Morgana, the founders of hogwarts, and in this era, you-know-who and Albus Dumbledore.
Rainy- i'm going to become the strongest, and no student that hasn't begun to learn magic is going to say that i can't.
Harry- do you know magic Rainy?
Rainy- well of cou-
Ron- i'm sure she doesn't, we can't practice before hogwar-
Rainy- Aguamenti
Just like that from the tip of my wand i threw water on the face of Ron.
Ron- hey! What was that for...?
Rainy- you asked for it. Next time don't interrupt others, is rude.
Ron- and throwing water to the face isn't??
Rainy- that's-
Then someone knocked on the door, i opened the door and it was the trolley witch. I didn't want anything as i was broke, Ron seemed on the same situation and harry decided to buy enough for all the wagon, for the three of us.
I asked for permission and begun to eat some every-flavour beans that where really amazing.
Ron- how can you like that so much? There are really nasty beans in there...
Rainy- That's the point, every bean is an adventure. It can be a good one or a bad one, the thrill is real
The conversation with the both of them was normal, i mean, they talked about their families, how Ron is poor and how the guardians of harry are horrible. And after that both of them begun to stare at me.
Rainy- what?
Ron- your family, you haven't told us anything about them.
Rainy- oh, that, well there's nothing to tell, i'm an orphan and...
Then i proceeded to tell them what has happened to me until i reached hogsmeade and how right now Rosmerta is the closest thing i have to a family. And she's not that close. Of course i left the death eater battle out of the history because they wouldn't believe me anyways. On the middle of the story, a boy came by to ask us if we had seen a toad, but we hadn't.
Harry- wow, and i thought i had it hard...
Rainy- for me, your situation is worse. In the orphanage, the madam was a nice guardian. And Rosmerta too. If i were in your situation, the Dursleys would be under ground by now
Ron- so you weren't lying about the wolf? How could you kill it with 4 years? That's practically impossible...
Rainy- i've got my secrets, Ron. You shouldn't ask a girl her secrets.
Ron- Sure, sure, Wolf Killer...
Rainy- do you want another shower?
Ron- no! Stop that!
I was pointing him with the wand when the door slid again and it was the boy from before with a girl with brown hair.
???- has anyone seen a toad? Neville's lost one.
Rainy- i'm afraid not, but you guys shouldn't be working that hard. The toad will appear sooner or later, if it has entered the train of course.
???-wait, you are doing magic? Let's see it, then.
Ron- No! Once i accept it, but you are not showering me again with that aguamenwhatever you did
Rainy- come on, you are not fun. I guess i can try something else. Can you show me your rat?
Ron- You are not going to hurt him, right?
Rainy- of course not! I only hunt big preys
???-hunt-?
Ron- ok, here you have it...
He then gave me scabbers and when it was on my lap, i turned him into a chalice, and then back to a rat.
Rainy- hehe, transfiguration is my favorite branch
???- wow, i've only tried a few spells for practice. You see, nobody in my family's magical and it was such a surprise when i got my letter, but i was ever so pleased, of course, i mean, it's the best school of witchcraft there is, i heard. I've learned all our course books by heart, of course, i just hope it will be en-
Rainy- you did that too?? hmm, i might need more practice if i want to be the number 1 of the school... what's your name?
???- Hermione Granger, and you?
Rainy- i'm Rainy Lionheart, and i'll be the strongest witch in the history. The one that offered his rat for the experiment-
Ron- experiment!!??
Rainy- -is Ronald Weasley, the black haired boy is, and prepare yourself because this is important, the chosen one, the hero of the wizarding world, Haaarry Pooootteeerr!!!
Harry- ok, you need to stop doing that.
Hermione- Harry potter? I've read a lot about you in Modern Magical History, The Rise and Fall of the Dark Arts and Great Wizarding Events of the Twentieth Century
Harry/Rainy- Am i in books?/He is in books?
Hermione- yes, i thought you at least would know Rainy...
Rainy- i'm prioritizing the spell books and course books hehe...
Hermione- anyway, where do you guys think you'll be sorted?
Rainy- Gryffindor without a doubt, not that i don't like the other houses, but they sort you based on the personality, and i don't have traits for any other house, Maybe Slytherin, but just because of my dream. Rosmerta said that she would bet the three broomsticks that i was Gryffindor, so i'm not doubting her.
Hermione- well, i hope to be in Gryffindor, it sounds by far the best. They say Dumbledore himself was on it, but i guess Ravenclaw wouldn't be that bad... anyway we have to continue with the toad search. You two should change on the robes, we'll be getting to hogwarts soon.
Then she left with Neville and i went outside the compartment to wait for them to get changed. Ron was a little pissed off with the way Hermione was talking, but i couldn't see that much difference with my own so i thought that maybe he was pissed off with me too.
When they finished changing i sited on my place again and i was going to take a book when the door opened again.
Rainy-(seriously, i haven't gone to any other compartments besides my own. What is wrong with everyone)
It was a pale, blonde boy with two goons-like boys that looked like they were trying their best to look as bad guys but not accomplishing it.
Blondy- is it true? They are saying on the train that harry potter is in this compartment. It's you, isn't it?
Harry- yes
Paley- this are Crabbe, and Goyle. And my name's Malfoy, Draco Malfoy.
Ron- ''cough''
Draco- Do you think my name's funny?? i can tell who you are. Red hair, freckles, and by the looks, more children they can afford. You must be a Weasley.
Rainy-( ohoho, i think this brat wants a warm welcome to hogwarts.)
