Dal Rineloch always knew that he was cursed or broken in a very serious way. For one, he can't seem to age, as he's almost fifty years old and looks like a kid. But worse, in a world where everyone awakens to their class on their 15th birthday, Dal has inexplicably been shifting in, out, and between classes for a reason he can neither understand nor explain, shifting for a random duration each time. Sometimes, he even shifts into classes that don't exist! Now, with an ancient evil rising again for the first time in 20,000 years, Dal may possibly be the only man alive who can stop it: assuming he's not stuck being a level-82 rat catcher or, even worse, a turnip farmer. With the fate of Galiad hanging in the balance, Dal must finally break out of his comfort zone and seek to control this strange curse, which under the right circumstances, just may be a gift.
