Chapter 4: My Mother
"his mother?"
"yes. that is William's mother. she deliver him to our door right before she passed away. she died exactly after hanging William safely to our door." said manager with tears in her eyes.
"interesting. and i presume that the grave near that boy is her grave, right?" asked Richard
"yes. we bury her there just so that William can visit her anytime he want. we also have her photo, that we take when we found her already passed away. i edit it so that it looks like she is still healthy in the picture."
"i see. i understand what happen now." said Richard. in his mind, he can tell about how and why William's mother can appear here and the whisper.
"i need you to make decision now Ms. Smith. are you ready for the risk? i promise you that i will make the best out of William. just say yes. please." urge Richard.
somehow, Richard words trigger something in manager's mind. she harden her heart. steeled her resolve. she must have the answer without risking anything.
"i demand you to tell me about what you know Mr. Richard. he is my boy and it is my right to know what is going to be his best. i refuse to follow your demand. once again, William is my boy. MY. BOY!" manager shout as she point her finger to Richard. she must have the answer. why is William's mother exist there? why William a special boy? why not other boy or girl? what is this man know about William that will make him the best? William can be anything he want and be the best from it! even if he want to be an orphanage caretaker, like her, he can still be the best caretaker! why must William go with stranger?
"I'm sorry Ms. Smith. this boy really is special. i can't losing him now. please forgive me" Richard said as he close his eyes.
"NO! you will LOSE him! he is mine! my boy! he isn't going anyw-!!!"
[manager lost Conscious and fall]
"I'm sorry Ms. Smith. you will hear from him years later. but i will make him a good man." said Richard as he write an apology letter and leave it in manager's hand. after that he walk to where William currently play swing.

while enjoying the swing and trying to chat with the woman who looks like his mother, William saw the man that was chatting with manager before come to him. he walks calmly with a look of shocked and wonder.
"hello boy, what is your name?" asked Richard.
"my name is William, sir. what is your name?" William asked back. smiling.
"my name is Richard. but my friend call me Rich. you can also call me Rich if you want to be my friend" said Richard with a smile.
"okay, i will call you Rich then. what happen to manager, Rich? i see that she is crying before she suddenly sleep there." asked William while seeing manager who fall unconscious not too far from there.
"she is fine. she is just asleep. and i think you should stop talking like that William." said Richard
"like what?" William looks confused.
"like a child who knows nothing"
when William hear that sentence. his expression change. his face turn flat. there is a blank in his eyes that even Richard never seen in his whole life and mission.
"yeah okay. it's tiring anyway. have you seen my mom? she looks like she want to say something but i can't seem to hear her. i can only hear her whisper sometimes" said William with a flat face.
"yeah, i see her. she is right there. nice and healthy. i can tell you what she want to say. do you want to know?"
"or do you want to learn how to talk to your mother?"
William somehow just stay still with blank face staring at Rich. as if something just come inside him and fighting for dominance.
"Don't fake it boy. i know when a person is possessed or in trance. i even know when a person is about doing his best to be a servant of evil. your face is not even half as scary." said Richard while his eyes never leave William.
"busted" said William with relaxed face.
this guy is good. he is strong too. William thought.
"how can i learn to speak to my mom? she looks like she want to tell me a lot of things."
"come with me. we will leave this place and you will learn under me. then you will learn not only to talk to your mom. but to many wonder of the world." said Richard, still looking at William without a blink.
"please blink once in a while Rich. you will scare other people" said William as he smile and look at his mother. as if he try to see if his mother understand his joke.
"oh? do you know why I'm not blinking?"
"either you are a ghost in material body. or you are some creature that i not know the name of." William answer calmly.
"hmm. good. let's go then boy. before your manager wake up and annoy you more than she need to. by the way, that manager of you, she really loves you. you have to call her when you can later." said Richard as he stand up and walk away.
"sure, i call her later. but what about my mom? you said you will tell me what she want to say to me?" asked William as he run to follow Richard.
"she said for you to follow me. she also said that as long as you keep her picture, she can talk to you anytime you want. her spirit attached to it. then she asked me to train you. she know who i am and what i do. lastly she want you to be healthy and don't be a bad boy like you usually do." said Richard. then he stare blankly for a few second.
"oh she also said for you to stop doing bad things to other you don't like. i will also say that too to you. i mean, you make your adoptive parent think that they have a son and daughter while actually you left them in their house, at comatose state? never do that again, okay?"
"busted again. okay mom, i will be a good boy and not curse other casually." said William.
then Richard just walk straight at no direction. William just follow him, as if knowing what will happen next. they walk for about ten minutes, until suddenly a black rotating circle appear instantly in front of their face. without any hesitation, Richard and William walk through that circle and Dissapear .
