Chapter 4: Jealousy and Confession
Sona sees Yuuto leaves the classroom so suddenly and follows him. "Yuuto?" She called for him. He turns around and sees Sona. "Yuuto why did you leave the room so suddenly? Are you feeling unwell?" Sona asked. He looks down, "Why do you care?" She then questions him, "Do you like Ayumi..?" His eyes widens, "What makes you think that?"
"Well..it's just a slight guess.. I mean I saw you looking over at her direction, she was shaking hands with the new student, then you just randomly left," explained Sora. Yuuto didn't say anything back, he just looked at Sona. She smiled and gave out a little laugh, "Are you..perhaps jealous??"
His face blushed, and he walked away, "I don't know what nonsense you're talking about. I'm leaving!" Sona watches him leave. 'Why would you like someone like Ayumi? What's so good about her?' She tells herself.
Kaya smiles, "Alright pretty boy, during lunch, hang out with us!" Sanyu looks at her weirdly, "Uhh, why would I do that?" "Because you're our friend now, DUHH," Kaya said. She looks over at Ayumi, who was reading her ethics book. "Ayumi lets all hangout together during lunch yeah?" Kaya asked. Ayumi stopped reading and look at Kaya then at Sanyu, "Wouldn't it be weird if one guy hangs out with two girls?" Ayumi questions Kaya. Sanyu immediately agrees, "Ri-right! So you two can hang out, leave me out for now." Kaya grunted, "Ughhh fine."
During lunch, the two girls hang out together as usual. Sanyu sat in a bench under an oak tree, eating his lunch. While he was eating, a pretty girl came up to him and sat across him on the bench. He gave a quick look at her then continue eating his food. In a soft, gentle voice, she spoke, "Hello, my name is Mae. Can I get to know you?" Sanyu stopped eating and looked at her again, "I'm Kiruma." She smiled prettily.
Kaya shoves her food in her mouth, "I wonder what Sanyu is doing? Since he's alone." Ayumi doesn't look at Kaya, "Don't talk to me when you have food in your mouth." Kaya swallows her food down, "Whatever, anyways what do you want to do this Friday? Let's go shopping?!" Ayumi thinks for awhile, "Yeah, I guess we can do that." Kaya smiles big and hugs Ayumi, "I love my best friend so damn much. You're my sister from another mother alright!" Ayumi smiles warmly back.
Sona looks for Yuuto throughout the school, "Just where the heck did that delinquent go?!" She opens the rooftop door and sees him, lying down just relaxing. A shoe hits his head and he immediately awakens, "What the hell?!!" "Oh, so you ARE alive." Sona says to him. "What do you want?" He asks. "Can I stay here with you?" She looks at him. He gives her a straightforward answer, "No." "Why not? Delinquents should hang out together," she said. He gives her a look and leaves her , "leave me alone." "You! How could you?! Am I that bad?? What's so good about Ayumi?! Why do you like her?! She's no more than a useless dog!" She yelled out. His eyes widens, as he heard Ayumi's name from her mouth. He grabs her by the collar of her school uniform, "Don't you dare speak of Ayumi like that!! She's far more better than you are. Just because I'm a boy, doesn't mean that I can't hit you. I will and I can hit you any time I want. Once a delinquent, always a delinquent. Is not that it??" Sona freezes, she doesn't dare to move a muscle.
"If you understood, then leave me alone," he pushes Sona away from him and walks off. Angered out of love, Sona yells back, "I LIKE YOU YUUTO! I LIKE YOU!!" Her tears falls down. He stops walking and turns around to look at her. "I've always liked you since Freshman year, when I first saw you, I fell in love with you!" she cried. Yuuto walks up to Sona, "Why do you like me?" She wipes her tears, "I just like you, do I have to have a reason to like someone?" He just looks at her. "Every time I see you look over at Ayumi or talk to her, I get so damn jealous! I can't control my feelings for you! I really like you so much!!" She sobs. He puts his hands in his pocket and leans towards her , "But right now, the person I like isn't you, the person I like is Ayumi." Sona's tears falls down filled with hatred and anger. She clenches her fists as Yuuto leaves the school rooftop. "Ayumi..." Sona angrily said.
