Double checking to make sure he didn't see wrong, Jie Jun became overjoyed. The talent he got wasn't a Fatal trait talent and it looked very promising just by the name. Farther more, the pent-up experience the Fatal Body Exp talent was holding back, was finally able to release itself.

Going by the details listed after using his Identify skill on it, the Double Stats Up talent seemed to double a stat when it was used. This meant that he would now have twice as much stats as other people. Of course, there were still prodigies that could get a Double Stat Gain talent, which more or less did the same thing.

Now the difference in those 2 talents was, his talent needed to be used and he would get an extra point on the stat he decided to upgrade for each point used. The Double Stat Gain talent was more convenient because it gave double points during level up. This way one could choose to use their extra points how they want.

"Still, I expected more of a cheat then this. My friends said when the main character in stories got transported, they all usually got insane level cheats to the point it became broken. A double stat talent is good but this Stat Redo is useless to me."

The Stat Redo details said it redid stats used. For an indecisive person, this was a very good technique. The problem for Jie Jun was, he was a decisive person. When he made a decision, he had every plan of sticking to it. He could see the benefits in being able to change stats depending on the situation a person was in, but even if he couldn't change his stats after applying them, he would have no regrets in the choices of stats he had. In fact, he would just reapply the same stats again even with a chance to redo them.

Then came the second let down of the technique. Though this was the first time he heard of a talent coming with a technique instead of a skill, techniques didn't upgrade because there was no level function to rank up or use the Talent stats on. As for Ranks, it just showed the quality of something.

What made ranks terrifying was, once something had a rank, anything below its rank became void. For example, the body rank being a G3-rank would mean, if you wanted to use your Sprint skill, you would need to make it G3-rank as well. The reason for this is, the Sprint skill was a self-use on, type of skill. If a skill, like a sword skill, was used instead and being non-ranked, as long as the person he attacked didn't have a body rank G3-rank or higher, there would be no problems.

It was also a known saying, "No amount of stats could help bridge rank gaps" because everything had a quality change to it, including stats.

"Since I got the useless skill, I might as well test out everything it can do." With that said, Jie Jun put his body stat point in spirit because the skill used spirit energy to work better.

Using the skill after seeing his spirit points go to 3, Jie Jun watched his status screen in shock as the skill Identify went down from level 3 to level 1. Looking at the body and talent stats, both had 1 stat point each. The reason for this was, the point he used earlier for the spirit stat, redid itself, and the skill Identify only really had a point in it. Having a talent that matched and gave a skill made the level raise faster compare to just having the skill and no talent for it.

Blinking stunned at the status screen, Jie Jun quickly put the talent stat back in the skill to make sure he didn't see wrong, only to stop a second later because the talent ended up doubling. The Identify skill now showed it was at level 6.

Insane! Insane! This was what he was looking for all along. A cheat that will allow him to have the confidence to reach the top in the future.

What useless Stat Redo technique? What, not bad Double Stats Up talent? This wasn't what he heard about the main characters from his friends. They only got 1 cheat to help them. But him?

Two cheats! Two cheats! That's right, he had got 2 insane cheats. Redoing talent stat? Doubling talent stat? Who could claim they had such outrageous talents and techniques?

Feeling giddy about the two cheats he got, he checked them with his Identify skill again.

"Can upgrade body rank to rank up? The technique can rank up?" Seeing the rank up options on his Stat Redo technique was like a cold splash of water. There was nothing good about that. Without a high enough Status View talent level, people would be able to see his status. This was to say, he was a walking treasure for people with the ability to steal stuff off the status screen.

Jie Jun got up to head outside his courtyard. The most important thing he needed to do right now was to find a way to hide his information. The place he could only think of right now was the clan's library area that had some ancient books in it. If he researched enough, he might find something related to hiding his status. If not, then he would try asking his father about it.

"I seem to have panicked for no reason. According to this book, if I just use a Death Orb with the Void Status talent I will be able to solve this easily." placing the book down Jie Jun once again left the area he was in. This time, his goal was to find his Second Uncle in charge of keeping skills and techniques the clan had safe.

While the Jie Clan was famous in Bullying City, there were still 2 other clans that held the same social status. The 3 clans created something of a check and balance between one another. Regardless of how high these clans were considered, having something precious like Death Orb talents were only things big sects and the Royal City would be entitled too.

The reason why Jie Jun needed to find his Second Uncle so early in the morning was, to ask for some techniques and skills he could learn so he could hunt for the Void Status talent.

The Jie Clan had a family rule that nobody was allowed to learn skills or techniques from the skill room unless one has become level 1 or higher. The exception being the Basic Refine Breathing technique. Having just become level 1, he was also qualified to learn from the skill room now. Not too far away, Jie Jun saw his Second Uncle leaning back on the skill room door with his eyes closed. Probably so he can stand guard and watch for those who insisted on violating the rules.

There were 3 kinds of Death Orbs that were common to use on the path of leveling. Technique Orbs, Skill Orbs, and Talent Orbs. Depending on if and how it has been refined, the orbs had a chance percentage of learning from them. 1% to 99% was the rate one could learn from Death Orbs.

During a beast kill, a Death Orb could be taken from the corpse. This was known as a kill drop. Drops from kills were not always guaranteed to drop, and humans could also give drops. The higher the rank a beast or human was, the lower the drop rate was. Of course, it was harder to kill as the rank rose.

Each Death Orb had a percentage attached to them. If it got refine by a Refiner, then the percentage would rise. His Second Uncle just happened to be a Refiner.

"Xiao Jun I didn't expect to see you come back here after begging so much for the breathing technique. Did you need something from this Uncle?"

"Second Uncle I hope you are well. As for me coming today after father helped me get rid of my Fatal talent, I have become level 1 and wish to learn a spear skill and technique." Jie Jun smiled at his uncle after speaking. Though this was the same uncle who took pity on him when he was a Frozen Level, he did so out of kindness for his family. If his father was not Clan Leader, he was sure this uncle standing before him would have been chosen instead.

"What did you say? Has your level really increased? Nevermind that! Let me check it!" not waiting for a reply, Jie Mu You used his Identify skill to only see Jie Jun's level.

"It's true! You are on Level 1! HaHa! I always knew my Jie family have no shameful people in it. Good! Good!" With a loud laugh, Jie Mu You padded Jie Jun on his shoulder as if to express a meaning of 'well done' through his actions.

"Come Xiao Jun, you are allowed to 2 Deaths Orbs and 2 more when you become level 4. Don't forget that if you decide to get 2 different kinds, it will lower your chances of learning one, because all of these orbs are only 25% Death Orbs. They are basic orbs but nothing is better than having a strong foundation first."

"Thank you, Second Uncle I won't be polite then." With a few more words, Jie Jun walked in the skill room to take the Basic Spearmanship technique and Spear Thrust skill he heard the family had plenty of and a spear against the wall, to go back to his courtyard and practice a bit with.

Exiting the room, he was stopped for a last piece of advice from his uncle, "Since you know how to learn from the Death Orbs I won't remind you, but Xiao Jun, you should know that if you fail, you have to wait until your level 4. I think it would be best to get the same type. That way you have more chances of learning it."

"Thank you, Second Uncle, for the advice. I will return now."

Seeing Jie Jun ignore his advice, Jie Mu You shook his head in disappointment.

"Being young I guess, clouds the vision of the bigger picture." The young always wanted the whole pie, it was sometimes better to take a little bit at a time. If not, one would find trying to eat it all at once, one would choke and end up wasting it instead.

Not minding the look his uncle gave him, Jie Jun once again return to the middle of his courtyard and set down. He would need to use the Basic Refine Breathing to absorb the orbs one at a time. After he did that, he would know if he learned the 2 orbs by the new information in his head and checking his status screen.

The rate of absorbing orbs would depend on his Talent Learn talent which was at level 6 since birth, and the breathing technique he was using. Having a level 6 Talent Learn talent meant, learning things talent related was 6 times faster than the average person. This was also why he was given the title genius at first.

Taking out the 25% Basic Spearmanship technique orb, he began using his breathing technique while holding the orb in his hand. Doing this would also require spirit energy, so he had already put his body stat in spirit earlier before he left. His plan was to absorb both orbs back to back, then get the hang at it with the increase in stamina points later. Once he was confident enough, he would head to the Wild Forest that had the beast he needs to kill to get the Void Status talent.

Bullying City Liu Clan estate, Clan Hall.

Clan Leader Liu Peng set in his leader chair watching his daughter throw a fit about her situation.

"Father! Why won't you say anything against this! I hate! I hate it!"

Liu Peng smiled, "Okay Hua'er, I will visit the Jie Clan for an explanation tomorrow."
