Chapter 2: Chapter 2: In an Unknown Island
Ryu was floating in the space of never-ending darkness. He was the only source of light in this place, but it was complete darkness to him. He couldn't feel anything. It's like all of his senses have been dulled to become nonexistent.
'Did I die…? What happened to my family? Are… they alright?' Ryu thought to himself as his body shone brightly in this dark world. He was nothing but a spirit that wasn't even able to reach heaven nor hell. He was in the abyss, all alone, with no one coming to reach for him.
Then suddenly, a voice whispered in his ears, "Don't you want to get revenge to those who tormented you? To the people who took everything away from you?" At that moment, Ryu's nonexistent heart thumped. The anger he felt stormed inside him as everything became clear to him.
A bright light shone and fell upon Ryu, restoring his body, improving it way further beyond. "W-what is this?" Ryu was shocked. His eyesight was restored as all of his body felt completely alive. He looked around to see who was the person speaking to him, but he saw nothing but a mirage of his own self.
"Awaken yourself, youngling. Stir up the power inside you!" The mirage spoke as he laid a hand on Ryu's face. His smile widened as the mirage's image changed. His eyes turned golden, and his hair turned white. Black wings sprouted from his back as devious horns formed atop his head.
"You are not just a mere creature that has no use. Avenge yourself, and avenge me." The mirage's body glowed as it flew up high, like a god that had descended. Two different lights shone on both of the mirage's hands, and it felt majestic. The light proceeded to envelop Ryu's entire body as he felt prickling pain all over his body.
"I didn't think I'd be reincarnated as you, and I didn't think that your consciousness would be able to overpower me… I guess it was my time after all." The mirage spoke with sadness imprinted on his voice. With a dry laugh, he looked at Ryu with longing in his eyes. "I wish you can accomplish things that I wasn't able to accomplish."
"You are me, and I am you. Ryu, become undefeatable. Show the multiverse how strong you are." The mirage embraced Ryu in a fatherly way. This hit Ryu with a feeling of longing for this mirage. He only felt fatherly love when he was a toddler, and he never experienced it again.
"Although, I can't give you acess to all our memories or you'll probably die due to too much information. Strengthen yourself and find missing fragments of ourself. Be careful though." The mirage laid his hand on Ryu's head.
"You have a power that I can't even defeat, the hunger for everything… Haha, if only I had that power before, I could've defeated it. Well, the past is the past. Good luck on your journey, Ryu, May the Goddess of Creation bless you." The mirage faded into Ryu's body as Ryu felt almost unbearable pain.
Even though he was tortured for months, this kind of pain differed from what he had experienced before. It filled him with a sense of relief, but it was pain that was extraordinarily different from everything one can experience. The pain of the soul hurts more than the pain of the flesh.
'This will only be uncomfortable in a while… Just sleep.' A voice in Ryu's head spoke as his consciousness faded away. His astral body started to dissipate into nothingness as he was given a new chance at life; no, he was rebirth to be able to avenge himself to get revenge on those who treated him like a piece of garbage. This made him smile on the inside.

Ryu awakened in a world as clear as the water from the sea. Everything mirrored everything, and it felt as if it was more peaceful than heaven itself. He looked around, but he had no choice but to stop as libraries of information suddenly opened themselves on his head, rendering him to be unable to do anything.
Physical, magical, medical, and all types of knowledge flowed into Ryu's mind. Spells, the formation of magic, the structure of life, time, and space flowed through his head like a stream of water. His body was refined and was improved to match his current abilities and honed all of his body structure to be able to wield the power that was awakened in him.
'All this knowledge, it's almost as if I have been living since the beginning of the universe… Was I…?' Ryu thought as strength rushed through his body, giving him a glimpse of what true power is. But then suddenly, he felt plaguing hunger deep inside him that started eating his own magical capabilities.
'W..what is this!?' Ryu felt as if all his strength was being seeped away from him. He was trembling as he lost his energy in this imaginary world. The hunger became immense as Ryu roared. It was no longer just simple hunger; it was now hunger for revenge. His mind became blank as his golden eyes shrunk, turning into the darkest of things, just like the abyss.
His consciousness faded away as a red mist formed around his body. A frown appeared on his face as he disappeared from this mirrored world.

Ryu's eyes flickered as he woke up from his slumber. He couldn't remember anything that happened after he disappeared from the mirrored world. All he knows is that he has been granted powers that are more than capable of giving him his dream of revenge.
As he opened his eyes, he saw an unfamiliar setting. He wasn't in his own house; he was somewhere else entirely. He was lying down on an unfamiliar bed in a strange room, in an unknown place.
His senses started tingling as he regained his composure. He felt unsafe; after all, you don't know what danger lies on you when you wake up somewhere that you don't even know. Then suddenly, a voice called out to him. "Hey you, you're finally awake."
Ryu abruptly sat down on the bed, on full guard, as he stared at the figure with cautiousness. Ever since he was given this power, he knew how to know the exact amount of mana that a person has. Ryu can even see their aura forming if they were a threat or not. After a couple of seconds, he saw that the figure wasn't hostile and calmed down.
Ryu observed the figure thoroughly. It was a lovely woman. 'What incredible beauty!' Ryu thought to himself as he looked at the woman. He had smooth brown skin, piercing crimson eyes, and pointed ears that can make someone's heart palpitate. She had a very mature stature and aura. 'She's very similar to my mother.'
The woman had jet-black hair with crimson tips, which bounced slightly as she walked towards the chair near the bed. She was wearing very revealing clothes. It looked pretty similar, yet so different to a swimsuit. She also wore very high heels.
She then spoke with a smile, "It's been a year since you slept. You truly caused me great trouble for attacking this island, you know! I don't even know how you got to enter it!" Hearing that, Ryu was quite perplexed. 'If I have been asleep for a year… how many years have passed since I died?'
Contemplating everything, I decided to ask the woman the truth. "Where am I? Who are you? And what date is it?" The woman sighed as she felt very rushed. She just looked at me, with her hands forming a sign as if pushing something. It clearly meant to say, 'Slow down.' "Geez, slow down! Let's just introduce ourselves first, okay!"
"Ah! I am Ryu Akat—*ehem* Ryu Kamiyama, nice to meet you." Ryu spoke as he took a deep breath. The woman just smiled as she crossed her legs and arms, forming something quite erotic. She then said, "I am Lilia, Lilia Fujisaka. Now Riku, let me tell you what happened when you arrived here."
She proceeded to narrate the disaster of a first meeting between the two. The story of how Ryu ended up in this place. This even caused Ryu to be shocked.

Lilia stood at the beautiful seaside looking at the calm seas. The winds suddenly blew a heavy breeze as the tide of the waves became stronger by the second. This caused Lilia to frown since the weather a few minutes ago was just perfectly fine. She felt that staying there was quite dangerous, so she said, "I guess I'll go back. This can be an excellent opportunity to teach them the—what the!?"
The waves of the seas shifted and formed a ridge. The space distorted as Lilia felt extreme danger approaching. Without even thinking, Lilia shifted her body to dodge whatever was coming, and there it was. A hand appeared out of the ridge, attacking Lilia with full force. It swung downwards, causing a crater to appear on the ground.
"Tch! What kind of monster is able to enter a sealed land!" Lilia shouted as she saw a young man walk out of the ridge in space. She felt imminent danger as the young man looked at her with a frown, his black eyes making her feel despair. He had draconic horns, white hair, and wings that resembled a fallen angel. His face was so handsome that he could probably make nations fall.
Yes, it was Ryu. Ryu's frown deepened as he looked at Lilia. Lilia looked at him cautiously, with her body on full alert. She was paying attention to every movement he made. Ryu didn't seem to be in the right mentality. Suddenly, he disappeared from his position and reappeared behind Lilia.
This caused Lilia to feel goosebumps all over her body, "What kind of demon—!" She was cut off as Ryu again attacked. Every single swing of his arm meant death. He wasn't holding back, and he was attacking with the intent to kill. "What the fuck are you doing!" Lilia shouted loudly.
Ryu paid no heed to Lilia's call, giving Lilia a glimpse of what was truly happening. 'He is probably going berserk! I must stop him immediately, or all of us will die! Damn it! But how can I stop a monster like him!'
Ryu flicked his finger as he stood with menace. Orbs of darkness flew everywhere, and it was erasing everything it touched. It was truly a devious skill. Time seemed to bend on his will as everything slowed down, including Lilia.
He proceeded to send a jab, sending Lilia flying away like a speck of dust. Good thing she was strong, or she would've already been dead. Multiple of her ribs were crushed due to Ryu's punch, causing her to have difficulty breathing. But her will persisted as she used magic to heal herself.
She stomped on the ground and roared, causing the whole island to shake. She twisted her body as her crimson eyes glowed brightly. Using all of her force and multiplying it with her magic, she extended her arms to push Ryu to the air, which succeeded. Gritting her teeth, she used the rest of her magic to cast one more spell. "Earth God's Spear!"
The earth bent to her will and formed a giant spear. It flew at high speeds towards Ryu, but it was of no avail. Ryu just consumed it using the orbs that he made as he rushed towards Lilia. "Damn it! Even one of my strongest attacks!" Lilia's tears fell as she readied herself to face death. She had already completely drained her magical energy.
Ryu grabbed hold of her head and brought her up to the air. Fear encompassed Lilia as she felt death trying to reap her soul off her body. She was not that ready to prepare for death before even having a proper relationship with a man. But suddenly, everything seemed to have halted. The orbs faded as Ryu's menacing aura vanished.
Without any warning, Ryu collapsed. "Ouch!" Lilia shouted as Ryu collapsed on top of her. Her body was hurting like hell. She hadn't experienced a fight where everything she did was pointless. "If he hadn't collapsed, I would've… died."
Suddenly, three different voices echoed as three beautiful young women rushed to Lilia. "Master!" the trio shouted simultaneously. The three of them looked very charming, and they all had a unique look.
One of the girls had pearly white skin and cute twintails of green hair while having beautiful emerald eyes. The other one had lightly tanned skin, with light brown hair tied into a ponytail and dazzling hazel eyes. Both of them had pointed ears. The last one has brown skin and hair, cute fox ears, and crimson eyes.
All three of them wore skimpy swimsuits while wearing high heels on a beach. Talk about completely unnecessary. The three of them rushed to Lilia while shouting, "Master! Are you okay!?"
"N-not really...but bring this young man inside." Lilia's crimson eyes were filled with warmth and motherly love as she looked at the three. She just curved her lips into a dashing smile as the three helped the two up and brought them back to a beautiful mansion.

"Very interesting, am I right?" Lilia said charmingly. Ryu's eyes were filled with emotions. He felt awful for hurting Lilia, even if he wasn't able to control it, so he decided to ask for forgiveness. "Lilia, I am incredibly sorry for causing you trouble and even injuring you."
"Well, it's no problem. The real problem is how strong you are…." Lilia said with a solemn face. After a few seconds, she decided to shrug it off and talked about everything else that had happened.
Three years have passed ever since Ryu died. Many things have changed, like magical powers appearing, meteorites falling, demi-humans, and other races becoming a thing. It would shock an ordinary person, but not Ryu. Ryu has already seen them before in his past life.
After all that, Lilia looked at me with a serious face as she spoke, "Ryu, can I be your disciple? You are really, really strong. I would've died if you hadn't fallen unconscious. Please?" Lilia begged, causing Ryu's face to twist. Although the power he has is extremely strong, that's only because he wasn't controlling himself. His actual body couldn't possibly handle the stress of that much power. That's why he was asleep for a year.
"Lilia, if anything, I want to become your disciple. I am unable to control my strength and I might die if I try to channel it with no training." Ryu told Lilia with a smile while placing a finger near his mouth. 'Though, I really need to train my body to be able to handle even a bit of my magical abilities so that I can properly execute my revenge.'
"But, I can't possibly teach you anything!" Lilia exclaimed but after that, she seemed to get the point that Ryu was making.
"No, you can. You have three disciples right? And I can sense that their aura is outstanding. Only one of the best can train someone to get this strong." Ryu said with a small smile. That smile could surely make even the straightest of men gay, but let's not think of that. Lilia couldn't help but be mesmerized by Ryu's handsome face.
She shrugged her thoughts off, feeling perverted for having thoughts on someone she just introduced herself to. "I see. If that's what you want, then I could comply. It's a good deal, being able to raise my image for having a strong disciple but also having a chance to improve myself. You seem pretty knowledgeable about this stuff."
"Well, I am pretty well-informed about magical knowledge." He said with confidence. Lilia just gave a smile as she asked him, "Well, how do you know all this stuff about magic but not even know what had happened in the past two years? Seems pretty suspicious to me."
"It's a secret. Though, if I trust you enough, I might be able to tell you the truth, but we just got acquainted with each other." Ryu laughed lightly.
Lilia also giggled at what he said. She crossed her arms, and with a smile, she spoke. "Well, to be honest, I'm enjoying my conversation with you. You seem like a pretty nice guy, and you're pretty… handsome as well… Well, you're more mature than I thought. Maybe you're older than I thought you were. Well, how old are you exactly?"
"If three years have passed, then I'm 19." Ryu thought about it and answered. Lilia's face was full of surprise. She couldn't even help but to speak out of the shock that was given to her. "What!? I thought you were at least 27! You're just the same age as my disciples!"
Ryu laughed loudly after hearing what she said. Lilia's face just turned red out of embarrassment. 'It felt so comfortable talking around him; I thought he was at least close to my age. I can't believe it! Why am I getting so flustered!'
"Ah! Lilia, before everything else, can I contact someone, please! My mother and sisters are probably really worried about me right now…." Ryu said with sadness on his face. He misses his family, and he wants to feel their warmth again.
"I'm afraid that isn't possible. This island is an island that only opens every five years. There are no connections here and you can't contact the outside world. There is still three years left before it opens again." Lilia informed Ryu adequately. This caused Ryu's face to turn sour, but he wiped it off his face as he said, "I see… thank you…."
"Wait, how do you know that it only opens every five years? Didn't magic only exist in this world three years ago?" Ryu was suspicious if Lilia was actually telling the truth. Though, Lilia understood his suspicions. "Well, we found out about it recently but this island was called the disappearing island. It already existed a few centuries ago and many believe it was a myth."
"No one could come near the island since it seemed to get farther as you come near it. When the world changed, suddenly it was enterable. There's a stone pedestal near the shore. It says 'This is a place for magic, a place for the strong, a place that only appears every five years'"
"Hmm… Alright…." Ryu decided to believe her as he went into deep thought.
'Mom, Aoi-nee, Hina-chan… I guess there will still be three more years before I can see you again… I miss all three of you… Even you, Yuki.'
