Chapter 21: Keep from falling apart
Obviously, Zenith found out the adultery acts of her husband and her friend, making her disappointed. That's when Rudy came out, using his knowledge in the original story, he did his best to make his Mom accept the current situation.
With Rudy's persistence, Zenith decided to give Lilia another chance and make Paul marry her, so she won't become a mistress. Though this is blasphemy for Millis Religion, Zenith realized that she really loved her family and also want to prevent it from falling apart.
Lilia was crying non-stop because she couldn't believe that she was forgiven just like that. Zenith instantly hugs her to comfort her then glared at his sinful husband.
Rudy shrugged his shoulders without trying to hide his smile.
'Mission success. I just hope that these three adults can adjust at the sudden change of lifestyle.' Rudy look once more at his three parents then walks upstairs and lie in his bed.
While he was thinking deeply, Rudy suddenly heard a knock in his door.
"Aunt Lilia, what can I do for you?" Rudy asked and smiles at her.
"Uhmmm... Rudy... Can we have a small talk?" Lilia started to fidget non-stop at the thought that maybe Rudy refused her.
"Okay, come in." Rudy opens his door widely to let Lilia come through.
"I want to thank you, Rudy..." Lilia gave her sincere thanks to him.
"But I want to tell you the truth. I was the one who seduced your father." She decided to come clean at Rudy and tells him everything.
*sigh* "Even though you said it now, I still want to save you." Rudy wasn't shocked at her revelation because he already knows it before they even conduct there indecent acts.
"But why? I betrayed you and Zenith... I betrayed my friend and my madam... I didn't deserve your kindness!" Lilia was desperate to punish herself due to her guilt feelings.
"Because when I was a child, I always treat as my second mother." Now Rudy was turn to speak up.
"When I saw you and dad having an affair every night, my heart aches because I know that you're betraying my mom..." Lilia was overwhelmed at what he said. Rudy knows there affairs, making her become more shameful at herself.
"But my love from you as a mother was genuine, so I decided to make you stay here." Rudy paused for a second and continued. "If you truly sorry for what you did, then stay with us. Choosing to leave this household makes you runaway from your sins. You have to confront your sins and earn our trust once again." Lilia was holding his mouth while her eyes was crying non-stop.
"Please, gain our trust once more, Aunt Lilia. Until you can forgive yourself." Rudy hugs her tightly while also crying.
Because of being alone before he was reincarnated here, he was anxious about being left by his loved ones.
The two stayed together hugging each other.
Then Lilia suddenly prostrate at him. "Master Rudeus, from now on, I will protect you from any manner of danger. Please let me serve you." Lilia was determined to serve Rudeus until her last breath.
"Aunt Lilia, don't misunderstand. You are not my knight, you are my mother. All I want is to be with me when I'm sad and happy." Rudy looks at her eyes directly and said it while his face having a bright smile.
Lilia hugs Rudy tightly, making his head now in her cleavage. 'To think that her breasts has this kind of elasticity... Damn you dad! You lucky bastard, I hope mom won't forgive you! Hmmmp!' Rudy silently cursed his father being lucky at tasting Lilia every night.
"Thank you Rudy... You don't realized how much you save me today. Then I will promise that I won't leave this family and I will gain Zenith's trust once again." Now she was determined not to leave this household and face her consequences, so she can forgive and redeem herself.
Still being hugged, Lilia, without an ability to see pure mana, doesn't realized that her legs was wrapped by Holy Chains and Rudy proceeds to heal her old wounds.
Though the healing magic of this world doesn't have an ability to heal her old injury, his Holy Chains was not only for healing, but also for repairing. He secretly repairs her damage tissue and ligaments, making her legs to become formidable once more.
Lilia thought that her relief that came from her whole body, especially in her legs, was because she accepts her mistakes and plan to redeem her lost dignity as a woman.
Since Rudy helped her a lot now, he doesn't want to be cheap and help her all the way through, making her to become a skillful swordswoman once again.
After that day.
The only thing that Rudy noticed after the commotion are Zenith and Lilia because more close to each other, though for me, it's kinda weird to befriend the one betrays you, still I know that Lilia deserves to be forgiven.
Paul however, was banned to sleep with Zenith and Lilia every night. He was sleeping in the sofa as a punishment, making Paul wants to cry but no tears came out, only sighs escapes from his mouth.
A few days later, Rudy saw Zenith tending her flower garden in the courtyard. He thinks that this is the opportunity that he's waiting for.
"Mom, are you busy?" It's obvious that she was busy at tending her flowers, but his brain doesn't know how to break the ice.
"Nothing much. What is it, Rudy?" She stops what she was doing for now and Zenith's attention was now in Rudy.
"Uhmmm... I know it's kinda late... But I want to say sorry for lying, mom." Rudy suddenly apologize to her.
"About what?" Zenith was confused about her son's confession.
"Because I hide from you about dad and Aunt Lilia's affair." Rudy finally tells her what he knows.
"Oh that... You didn't do anything wrong, Rudy. You're still a child, so you don't know what to do about this kind of mess. This is Paul's fault for not trying to keep it in his pants." Zenith unconditionally blamed it all to her husband. In the first place, if he didn't ambush Lilia behind the door of there water closet, this won't even happened.
"Uhmmm... Mom, I don't want to offend you, but is there a chance for you to forgive Dad?" Rudy now changed the topic and his eyes become serious.
Zenith only smiled at her son and rubs her head gently.
"Don't worry, Rudy... I'm not going to give up my throne, not because I'm his wife, but I know that I still love him. So the answer to your question is yes, I can forgive him..." Zenith finally sighs at the thought that she still love him despite of his betrayal.
"You know Rudy, what I love about your father was his honesty. In my childhood days, I always follow my mother's orders. I learned etiquette and ways on how to become a priestess of Millis Religion. To the point that I become her puppet." Zenith was trying to reminisce her old days.
"But when I tried to become member of Paul's ragtag team of adventurer, I saw to him about living freely without taking orders. Though he was happy go lucky, he thought me to not let yourself be shackled by orders, and make your own decisions." Zenith was now smiling brightly.
"That's when I realized that I fall in love with him. Though there are many competitions, I still win in the end and become lucky that Paul was my husband." Then Zenith's face suddenly falls down from depression.
"If only he was not a playboy, I would become satisfied in my marriage." Zenith suddenly sigh then look at Rudy.
"Rudy, be a good man, okay? Don't get influenced by your father's bad habits." Zenith then stroke his head and give him a reminder about life.
"Uhmmm... Ouch... Mom, stop! You're hurting me." Zenith didn't realized that her strokes are getting stronger and stronger. She can't help but imagine that Rudy will become the second Paul. Her proof was the bathroom incident with Sylphy, an introvert and cute child.
Zenith then stops rubbing his head and lean down so she can kiss his forehead.
"Thank you, Rudy. You really save this family from falling apart. If not for you, I might do something that I'm going to regret for the rest of my life." Zenith of course, knows why Rudy wants Lilia to stay, to keep this family from falling apart.
Rudy knows that Zenith only gave them one chance. So Paul have to behave himself or he can kiss his family goodbye.
Zenith and Rudy was happily chatting in the courtyard, and her son suddenly help her at tending her garden. Now, the mother and child are having there bond time while Rudy stroke Zenith's tummy to feel his sister.
