Chapter 27: Violet Blood

Every few days, Lian would return home to assess his mother's and Riria's progress. Now, Lianna held a zither, following Lian's guidance to train her Sound Dao.

Her notes and voice echoed softly, like a gentle and soothing breeze. The laws of the world resonated in harmony with the notes, and her body harmonized perfectly. In just a few years, she would be completely cured.

Riria dedicated herself daily to training with Lian inside the formation. He shared various tips on close combat, and she quickly absorbed everything with determination.

Initially, due to the difficulties in her cultivation, she focused on developing her combat skills, reaching the point of instantly identifying an opponent's strengths and weaknesses. Her talent in this area was being carefully honed by Lian.

Inside his room, already during the night, Lian was sitting in a lotus position when a young girl appeared before him.

Edea Albedo was the same age as him. She wore a simple blue dress without adornments, and her face radiated untouched beauty. Her light brown hair was soft and tied with a blue scarf, while the sleeves of her dress were rolled up. She exuded an aura of wisdom and purity, making her a simple mortal girl yet absolutely enchanting.

Edea now resided with her family. Her father was a common member of the Albedo Clan, but her mother belonged to one of the most powerful clans in the capital, the Violet Blood Clan. Unfortunately, both of them died in a battle against demons shortly after her birth.

Upon her birth, Edea underwent an assessment by the Violet Blood Clan, which concluded that her blood was weak and diluted. Therefore, she could never train the clan's exclusive techniques and was promptly abandoned by them.

However, due to her connection to the Albedo Clan through her father, she was taken in to be raised by them. The clan's patriarch likely had plans to use her to establish a future alliance with the Violet Blood Clan.

Edea lived a rather solitary life, but due to being only a few days apart from Lian, Lianna nursed and took care of her when she was still a baby and child, becoming a motherly figure and her only family.

When Edea turned five years old, Lianna decided to keep her safe and away from the dangers she faced. She observed Edea from a distance without revealing her presence to others.

Upon discovering the reason behind this distance, Edea understood why Lianna kept her away. This made Edea dedicate herself even more to her cultivation, seeking to become stronger in order to try and cure her.

Edea's talent was recognized by everyone as above average, and her cultivation progressed satisfactorily. However, everything changed on the day she witnessed Lian fighting for the first time.

Edea saw Lian for the first time on that day. He was the son of the woman she considered her mother. In her eyes, he seemed like an invincible war god. This sight made her world spin, and her heart filled with an inexplicable feeling. She couldn't fully understand her emotions herself.

After Lianna woke up, Edea was welcomed as an official daughter by them and began living with the family. Now, in Lian's room, Edea lowered her face, which was as red as an apple, displaying her shyness and embarrassment.

Under the bright moonlight, she turns her back and slowly begins to lower her clothes.

Lian extends his right hand in that dimly lit room. He touches Edea's bare back without caring about her fervent feelings. Edea always openly demonstrates her affection for Lian when Riria is not around. The pure love of a young girl who was the same age as him was refreshing. But in his eyes, she was still just a developing child. He had no such feelings for the girl.

In a matter of seconds, a violet Qi began to emanate frantically from Edea. If Riria were present, she would feel direct pressure on her Qi and mind. That showed that Edea wasn't as simple as everyone else thought her to be.

Lian was well aware of the lineage and powers of the Violet Blood clan. They were descendants of a divine and extinct race called the Celestials.

The Celestials and the Abyssals are races shrouded in mystery. They are known to have extremely destructive Qi and quite problematic techniques. There are several of them in the Divine Plane and a few in the Mortal Plane. Their lineage is quite diluted, mixing with other races, but their power always stands out.

The Violet Blood allows the user to control a strong type of violet Qi. They can shape this Qi into various rune forms that can be used for a variety of purposes.

In the past, Zeke founded the Purplecloud clan just to have a safe place for Lyn to live. The Violet Blood clan in the Mortal Plane used rather simple techniques with their extremely powerful blood. For him, it was a waste, so he found a better purpose for them.

He secretly stole some mediocre techniques from the clans descended from Celestials in the Divine Plane and taught them to the members of the clan on his planet. These members were trained with the purpose of serving as shields and support for the main clan in the capital. Lian recalled the techniques he had taught in the past and transmitted them to Edea. Now, he was exploring something new he had discovered about her mysterious power.

The little divine plant had the ability to feed on dark Qi, as well as purify and absorb impurities. Every night, when the Yin energy was strongest, Lian directly absorbed the impurities from the Celestials' lineage and transferred the Yin energy to Edea's meridians.

Her lineage was becoming increasingly pure and dense, surpassing even those who lived in the Violet Blood clan founded by Zeke. In the future, she could even go to the Divine Plane to learn from the stronger clans.
