Chapter 65: Lovers Quarrel

"Hi Clark, I have the habit of sometimes answering my calls without checking the caller's ID, I am sorry if I sounded too fierce earlier. I never knew you were the caller," Stephanie apologised meekly.

"Were you perhaps still working?" Clark asked curiously.

"Yeah, I was working. Is there any problem with that?" Stephanie asked politely.

"Stephanie, it's time for lunch so working at this hour is wrong. You have worked from morning until this time so take a break or it will break my heart if you fall sick because of exhaustion," Clark said in a worried tone.

"It's already time for lunch? I wasn't aware of this," Stephanie said checking her wristwatch.

"Stephanie, I called because I was hoping we could go out for lunch. I am already waiting in front of your office," Clark said nervously. He was so afraid Stephanie will turn down his offer.
